OOB Vacation

Thanks for everything, the property was tremendously cared for, with tons of Maine character. Our family enjoyed every minute of the week long stay, it was conveniently located near the beach, food, and rides (7 min walk). It really felt like a home away from home, and I would high recommend Karen & Buddy’s property for anyone staying in OOB. Thanks so much for a memorable vacation. 10 out 10! Delaney Family

OOB Getaway

Great house!

Great little house in a great location. Well maintained and very clean. Air conditioners, beach chairs, washer and dryer make for a great stay. The bath towels provided are really good quality. Communication with the Bakers is very good, quick responses to all my questions. Would highly recommend this rental.

Just right for 4-5

Place was very clean. Had a beautiful backyard with plenty of firewood for the pit. Kitchen had everything you need. They even had paper plates and paper towels, along with napkins. Nice and quiet at night and a 5-6 minute walk to the center. We enjoyed our stay very much!!

Perfect Cottage

Stayed for a week with my sister. We rent a cottage at OOB every summer. This cottage was very clean, had comfortable beds, had everything you need in the kitchen, was a quick walk to the beach, conveniently located to everything and a very quiet neighborhood. We found the beach at the pier was a little busy for us so we went to Ferry Beach for more relaxation. The only thing we can say was missing was a clothesline or drying rack for things we did not put in the dryer. But we brought our own rack so it was perfect. Thank you Karen and Buddy for the wonderful week in your lovely cottage, we enjoyed every minute of it.

Charming beach cottage, short walk to the pier

Our family had a wonderful time staying the week at this cute beach cottage. While only 750 square feet, there was ample space in this 2-bedroom for 4 adults and one child. The home was well-maintained, nicely decorated, had many amenities (including washer/dryer) and a tidy back-yard area complete with a small deck, fire pit and grill. The beach and pier were a short, 5 minute walk. We enjoyed having meals as a family in a full kitchen, trips to the beach, getting ice cream and sweets at the pier, playing at the arcade and carnival, watching fireworks, making s’mores, and buying souvenirs at the local shops. We also took two day-trips to Portland and Kennebunkport, ME which were both around a 30 minute drive or less. We had a pleasant experience working with the owners, Karen and Buddy Baker, and appreciate them opening their home to us for the week. We made many memories, and highly recommend Old Orchard Beach and this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing Maine getaway at the beach, especially families with younger children. We hope to be back!

Un endroit génial à Old Orchard Beach

Nous avons passé une semaine chez Karen et Buddy en juillet 2024. La petite maison est propre, pratique et réconfortante. Tout est près à quelques minutes de marche. La cour arrière est calme et très belle. Karen était très gentille et a répondu rapidement à toutes nos questions. Nous nous sommes sentis chez nous.

Beautiful cottage within very short walking distance to old Orchard Beach

This is now my 3rd trip to this cottage which is very close to Old Orchard Beach. The cottage is very clean and well-kept, has a well-stocked kitchen, a clean bathroom, two single beds, a full-size bed, and a queen size sleeper sofa. New England rental homes are often not air conditioned, but this one is and added a much-needed break from those hot and humid days spent at the beach. It's clear by the upkeep of this cottage that the current owners personally care for this rental. As such, we will definitely be back so long as the current owners still own this cottage. Anne B. Perfect stay!

From the very first second we stepped in, we knew this place would be perfect. Karen and Buddy thought of everything imaginable to have inside of their cottage for a vacationing family. Our two little ones loved the house and the backyard too! The two AC units cooled down the whole house during the muggy/hot days we were there. The back deck was perfect to sit back and relax on. We could go on and on. We will rebook for next summer and future summers to come!

Had an amazing time! I absolutely love this house it is in a perfect location close enough to the pier but far enough were you don’t hear all the noise. Perfectly fit my family of 5. Definitely will be back next year

OOB home near the beach

Everything was as expected. The house was decorated with beachy colors and had everything you need for vacation, including cleaning supplies, beach chairs etc.. Lovely quiet backyard for dining/ relaxing . Only suggestion would be installing grab bar by claw foot tub, for getting in and out of bath for seniors. Also mattresses in second bedroom could be upgraded. Other than that, very inviting accommodations and perfect for small family/ friends group. We appreciated all the thoughtful details that went into making vacation so enjoyable.

Clean, well-equipped, great location.

We rented this property because of the great location and for the 2 bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which included fun visits from family. My 17 year old niece visited with a friend and they loved the freedom of being able to walk to the beach, shops, and amusement park on their own. The beach has beautiful white sand and water was clean. The amusement park and arcade were well run and the town was clean. I was very impressed with this family friendly town - not very crowded probably due to the pandemic. Buddy and Karen were easily accessible for questions. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. So helpful to have a washer and dryer. Loved the backyard and fire pit. The house is great for 4 people. We found it a little tight for 6 but is doable. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect beach vacation!

Our family had a great stay at this property. It is well kept and you have everything that you need. The size was perfect for our family and we loved the back yard. The proximity to the beach was perfect. It was close enough for a 5-10 minute walk, but in a quiet neighborhood. The owners were also very responsive. We made great memories here and hope to return in the future.

Adorable cottage

This home was perfect for a week of rest and relaxation for a group of 4 women. The check in process was easy. The owners respond very quick to any questions that I had. This home is very neat and clean which is very important to me. I love how it is decorated. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed. It was within walking distance to the beach and the center of OOB. We would spend all day at the beach, come back and have dinner then a fire at night. It was everything we needed!

Lovely cozy cottage

The house is quite small, but very lovely. It has everything you need. The only problem we had was the nearness of other houses. When there was a party across the street you could hear the festivities. The owners were easy to reach and very helpful. We had a wonderful time.

Perfect home away from home!

This cozy home was all that the pictures show and more! The house really reflects owners who truly care about their property and the comfort of their guests. It is very clean and stocked with everything you need (except food) for your stay. The location is also perfect! It is set in a quiet neighborhood and is about a 8- 10 minute walk to the beach. It actually feels shorter because you can walk along the shops and food stands along the way. Bring a beach cart for all of your beach chairs, blankets, towels, and cooler. It definitely was a plus for us! We cannot wait to come back! Thank you Karen and Buddy for a beautiful vacation home!!!

Vacation in OOB

The property was very nice and clean. Perfect for Our group of three adults. Situated 20 min away from both Portland and Kennebunkport. We spent most days on the beach in this quaint town and dined in the city a few nights. Just what we were looking for...great company and good food and drink. We had memorable vacations with our 2 kids (Megan & Tommy) taking the Downeaster Train from Exeter NH up to different locations in Maine. Our 1st trip was to OOB and we had such fun!! We feel very lucky to own such a cute little cottage in Maine :)
