What we thought we were getting and what we got

We thought it was a full house I think it was a converted garage. It had 4 step ups, three just to get into the living room. It was a shared washer and dryer and there was several large bags of clothes in the laundry room

A step below the normal VRBOS

Let start with the lack of curb appeal on this APARTMENT- not a home. We showed up to a place that had 4 large garbage cans overflowing, 2 five gallon buckets full of black liquid and trash/cigarette butts all over in front of the apartment . It reminded me of a run down slum area. I was already apprehensive of staying in the Detroit area. They did quickly come and clean it up but it put a sour start to our 10 day stay. The apartment had not been spruced and felt dusty and not welcoming- not the experience I have had with the other VRBO rentals. They did arrange to have a cleaner come in on our second day. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms looked like they were updated but not the showers. Laundry room is in a separate room and needed lots of cleaning- that never happened. They did bring in another washer after we let them know the washer was not useable. Luke warm water until we turned the water heater up from low - definitely showed there was no pre thought of guest are coming let’s make sure things are ready.

Plenty of beds

We had 5 guys for a 2 day charter fishing trip. It's usually hard to find a place to comfortably accommodate us. This place did the job. 3 full bathrooms made our mornings much easier to get ready.
