Casa & Casita Sal y Mar were completed in late 2023, was imagined by a San Francisco-based hair stylist and professional chef who’ve spent their entire careers in customer service (AKA making people happy!).
Let Casita Sal y Mar make you happy with its beautiful room filled with character, light and air, thoughtfully designed in collaboration with Lucca Spendlingwimmer, local award-winning architect. Casita Sal y Mar is a place where guests of all ages will feel at home and have fun!
The space
The casita features:
• 1- Loft-style bedroom with glass slider for privacy. En suite
• ½ bath on the main floor
• Downstairs. Kitchen and living room that opens up onto the outside deck.
• AC units in both the bedroom and living room.
• Egyptian cotton sheets, medium firm mattresses, duvets, cotton weave blankets, pillows galore and plush towels.
• Lots of closet space in each room with plenty of hangers.
• Safe in bedroom.
• High-speed internet and mesh wi-fi router that connects to every room. 55” TV in living room
• High-end water filtration system. Drinkable water!
• Water softener.
• Professional kitchen with all the goodies! + gas range & exhaust.
• Coffee grinder, French press, Vitamix blender, toaster oven, dishwasher.
• Glasses, platters, cutlery from Crate & Barrel.
• Kitchen Island with 4 barstools.
• Large comfy chaise sofa. Can also be used as an extra bed.
• Salt plunge pool with outdoor shower.
• Deluxe outdoor bean bag lounge chairs.
• Covered outside eating area with a table that seats 4.
• Parking space. EV charger
• Use of laundry room

The house is also for sale. Clients will be given a 24-hour notice when a showing is requested.
Construction
Nosara is a developing community so there is construction happening next to the house which will be set to finish in December. We are currently offering a discounted rate already applied since Nosara is a rapidly growing community and we have seen a lot of construction projects go up lately. Unfortunately, the projects themself are out of our control. However, we just want you to be aware of this before you book so you can take this into consideration. Please reach out to us for more information!
Property management & Concierge Services
The property manager is available daily from 8 am to 5 pm and 5 pm - 8 am only for emergencies
This listing comes with complimentary guest services and concierge services.
While Costa Rica does have many of the conveniences you are accustomed to having at home, navigating a foreign country can feel a bit tricky. For that reason, we’re here to help curate your experience and itinerary to be the best it can be. From booking surf lessons and ATV tours, to arranging your rental car or shuttle, to organizing your private chef and massages, we’re here for you.
Security
Nosara is absolutely a wonderful community and we can't wait to share all the good things that it has to offer. We care a great deal about our clients and for that reason, we also want to make you aware of one of the véry few downsides to Nosara: petty theft (they usually are out for your cash and your belongings as in any other tourism area). We would like to understand the dynamics of the group, so we can take care of you, put you in the right house and downsize the chance of you having any issues with this. Please feel free to inquire for more information. If not included, the property manager can arrange a dinner guard at an additional cost. The guest is responsible for securing and protecting their personal belongings and valuables left in and around the Property and for ensuring that all security features available are enabled every time they leave the Property.
Internet and Electricity
In the jungle, the utility infrastructure is unpredictable. There may be power, phone, and/or internet outages and interruptions in service. The Guest should not leave electronics plugged in during rainstorms. There isno guarantee that the Internet will always work. We have an excellent mobile phone signal with Kolbi and data rates are very reasonable. If internet access always is crucial, we encourage you to bring an unlocked phone and get a Kolbi SIM card.Please note that the Homeowner nor the Property Manager has no control over these situations and no refunds or discounts will be offered for outages or interruptions to these services. If there's any problem with the Property, please report it to the Property Manager.
Water
During the dry season months of December through April, the Property may have low water pressure due to temporary or scheduled water outages. We will do our best to notify Guests of any interruptions in water service or regularly scheduled water shut-offs.
Jungle creatures
We make every effort to present a well-cleaned home for your arrival. However, it is a jungle out there and nature can move in at any time. The Homeowners and Property Manager are not responsible for the fumigation or removal of insects that may enter the Property during the Guest's stay.Even though the house is regularly fumigated on a maintenance schedule, expect to see ants, beetles, spiders, and other assorted insects year-round. Bugs are especially active during the rainy season, May through November. Every effort is made to present a clean home at Check-In. To minimize the impact of bugs on your vacation, please keep food wrapped, store it in the refrigerator, clean kitchen counters and screen doors closed at all times (particularly at night).
Refunds
No refunds will be given for natural disasters, water outages, internet outages, security breaches, personal property losses, or nearby construction noise. This area is a rapidly growing community. There is no guarantee there will not be construction nearby.
Insurance
We encourage all Guests to purchase Traveler Insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may prohibit Guests from travelling or fulfilling Rental terms.
