First Trip to OBX

This was my family's first trip to the Outer Banks and I could not be happier with this rental. The amenities within the home were helpful. It's away from busy streets but very close to the beaches. Made it easy to drive to the beach daily! Thank you for such a great vacation!

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay at Seas the Day. It’s located in walking distance to the sound and is a short drive from the beach. Property was clean and updated. Check in was a breeze. Would definitely stay again.

Easter weekend

We liked the house, it was clean and well appointed. We did not have internet for our first night, but staff responded promptly and provided a solution the next morning, although speed was slow and the issue was never dully resolved.

Very clean, well appointed

Loved the quiet neighborhood, great area to bike around. Rented 2 cruiser bikes. The house is very clean, great climate control, lovely kitchen, incredible water pressure for the shower and bathroom. Lovely place, would stay again for sure.

Gillade: Incheckning och kommunikation

Check in was good. The house was fine, but we did have to vacuum the kitchen, family room and the bedroom with the bunk beds when we arrived. The tub in the hallway bathroom fills up with water when taking a shower and has a very slow drain to it. You should keep Drano on hand or have the cleaning people check that before people arrive. The Wi-Fi was great. The mattresses were really soft and so sleeping was ok, but that’s just our preference. The street was very quiet, which was great. When we arrived the lawn chairs that are provided are not really good and they were scattered all over the carport so we had to move them before we could back in and unload. We used our own lawn chairs and tents because these were very rusted or they were broke. The cleaning people should really move those to the back of the Carport before new guests arrive. The washer and dryer were nice to have in the house, we did use those. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, we did not cook much since we ate out dinner every night, but it was great for breakfast in the morning. We did vacuum the entire main level before we left as a courteous, since we didn’t feel like it was left up to par when we arrived. The deck furniture was not the way the picture showed either, the cleaning people should fix that before new guests arrive. We did not use the outside shower, it’s very tiny and the door doesn’t stay shut.

No Internet, trouble with keycode

From the moment we got there no internet. Called the 800 number for property management company was told to unplug the router and wifi extenders. There were multiple calls to the 800#. Still no internet until Saturday. The 800 people stated they contacted the local office. No contact from the local office I found the local office on the island, went there in person and asked to speak with a manager. The management company sent someone to the house. They did the unplug the router thing, still no internet. The management company ended up giving us a hot spot that only worked for the living room TV and 1 Ipad. They contacted the owner who had the cable company reset the router, still no internet in the house. No internet no TV for the upstairs bedroom, the downstairs TV never did work. In the middle of the internet fiasco, the key code stopped working on Friday. and had to get a new number reset. I do believe we are entitled to some kind of compensation. We were stuck in the living room watching one TV and 2 kids sharing 1 Ipad.
