Casa Malaya is a 4-bedroom villa with boat dock and private pool is located in the idyllic community of West End on Grand Bahama Island only 56 miles from West Palm Beach, Florida.

The 2-story house comes complete with master bedroom with king bed and three guest bedrooms each with a queen bed and 3 ½ bathrooms, sleeping 8 guests comfortably (plus a sofa bed that could sleep another 2 people). The villa’s décor includes beautiful, tiled marble floors throughout the house and high ceilings. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is impressive with stainless appliances including induction oven and beautiful cabinetry. The 2nd story porch is ideal for outdoor dining and the rooftop widow’s walk affords stunning 360-degree views of both the ocean and the canal. Guests also have use of a BBQ grill, one-man and three-man kayaks, tennis rackets, bicycles, and golf cart.

Casa Malaya has a private 60’ boat dock for the exclusive use of villa guests. The dock can accommodate boats up to 75’ with a 13’ draft and comes with 30 and 50 amp power and water. Please note there are 2 docks at the house, and the guest dock is on the vacant lot next to the villa. The villa is situated on the southeast corner of the turning basin in The Isles at Old Bahama Bay. Address is Allamanda Drive, West End, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas.

Great stay with a few minor issuesWe really enjoyed our stay at this property! It’s very well equipped for cooking, with plenty of consumables and supplies on hand. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and the bedrooms were nice, though one bedroom door could really use a blind for privacy. The view is beautiful, and the setting is quiet and relaxing. The golf cart was a great bonus for getting around, though it could use a little more maintenance. The boat dock was in excellent shape, very convenient, and the fish life around it was amazing — we saw sharks, turtles, fish, and even a resident moray eel! The host was fantastic — very responsive and quick to help with any questions or issues.There were a few minor downsides: the upstairs air conditioning tripped a few times during our stay, requiring a reset of the condenser — not a big problem but a bit of a nuisance. The hot tub wasn’t fully functional but still usable. The gas grill really needs replacement and should ideally have extra propane tanks available as backup. The trash situation could also be improved — a group of wild dogs got into the trash and a cooler we left outside, making a mess. Larger outdoor trash cans with secure lids would help prevent this in the future.Overall, a great place with a lot of positives and a responsive host — just a few small areas that could be improved. We’d happily stay again!
