The space
Nestled just 15 km from the vibrant heart of downtown Victoria and a mere 18-minute drive away, our home offers the perfect blend of accessibility and tranquility. Situated 32 km (a 28-minute drive) from the airport and 38 km (32 minutes by car) from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, our location is ideally suited for both local explorations and convenient travel.

Surrounded by conveniences such as Costco, Market on Millstream, Starbucks, and Dairy Queen, everything you need is within easy reach.

We take pride in providing a clean, spacious environment that boasts all the comforts of home. Our residence features three bedrooms outfitted with one King bed, two Queen beds, and one sofa bed, complemented by two full bathrooms to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests.

Upon entering, you'll find a welcoming bedroom, a full bathroom, and a laundry room on the main floor—please note, the garage is not accessible to guests.

Ascend the stairs to discover a generous dining area and living room, designed for relaxation and entertainment. Enjoy movie nights on our Smart TV or create memorable meals in our fully equipped kitchen, featuring a microwave, toaster-oven, coffee maker, oven, and BBQ grill.

Bathed in natural light, our home invites you to unwind in the spacious backyard, savor the amenities of a fully stocked kitchen, and sink into the comfort of our plush beds.

Guest Access:

Guests will have full access to the upstairs floor of the property, with the exception of the garage. We encourage you to make yourself completely at home.

Parking:
Please park all vehicles to the left of the house or in front of the garage. Two cars can be parked on the driveway back to back, and if you need more space, ample street parking is available.

Good to Know:
There are residents in separate unit on the property, but you have all the main floor to yourself!

Clean & Convenient

Great spot close to highways to get anywhere on southern island, including Victoria. Easy access to grocery stores, coffee shops, gas stations. Clean, comfy beds, and good communication from owner. Portable A/C units kept space nice and cold during hot days - great!

2 less beds than listed, dirty, and hot

This review reflects both the description of the house and my interactions with VRBO which were far from satisfactory. Upon arrival the inside of the house was more than 80 degrees and the AC had not been turned on. We rented the house based on the number of bedrooms and beds. The listing said there was a king bed in bedroom 1, a queen bed in bedroom 2, two queen beds in bedroom 3, and two double sofas in the office. We found that there was only one queen bed in bedroom 3 and only a single futon in the Office/family room. The couches in the pictures were absent. The entrance foyer is open to the upstairs unit, and there is no method to close off the upstairs. The downstairs unit also has a door to the entrance foyer and thereby access to the upstairs. That door only locks from the inside. Not a single bedroom has a lock so there are no private spaces in the unit, other than maybe the bathroom. I communicated with VRBO for almost two hours while my wife went and checked the beds. We found that the king bed in the primary bedroom had filthy sheets with hair and a wet spot. We arranged with the owner to have someone come and change the sheets but we then discovered clean sheets in the closet and canceled that request. After my first chat and sending pictures I was told my case would be escalated and I was given a number to call. When I told them that there were no locks on the bedroom doors and so that no space was private my call was suddenly cut off.

Not as advertised - do not recommend

This property is not how it’s portrayed or described on vrbo. 1. There is no backyard and half of the front yard is fenced off and inaccessible (presumably for the owners’ use). This fence is not pictured on the vrbo page. 2. The pictures show and the text describes a downstairs bedroom, but this is a locked door and we were told this is the owners’ space. The foyer is open to unit upstairs, so the owner has direct access to the rental unit. We were told we couldn’t leave our bags down in the foyer because that’s the owner’s space, even though it’s in direct continuity with the rental. 3. The summary says there are two sofa beds, but the couches in the pictures are not there – instead, there is a futon and, in a closet, a dilapidated, folded up air mattress. There are no extra sheets for these. 4. The summary also alludes to there being 3 queen beds – and if you look at the pictures, you’ll be fooled because they show pictures of that downstairs bedroom – but there are only 2 queens and a king. Aside from these things, the kitchen floor was filthy, the washer gasket was caked with black mold, and the queen beds have no cover sheets – just comforters without removable covers which likely aren’t washed often. The toilet seat in one bathroom is literally too small for the bowl. The hand towels and washcloths were folded but still damp. The couch in the front living space was filthy. The in-room ACs were super loud. The only good thing about this place is the location.

This rental was amazing. The host was on top of everything, and was always there if and when we needed him. The next time we come out to Victoria we will definitely look into getting this rental before any other. Thanks a lot

Interesting Stay….

The house was clean and the neighbourhood was quiet. We stayed for four nights and everything was great until the last night. My father was up late watching tv and he noticed a light was on in the hallway that he had previously turned off. He then noticed headlights pointed at the door and went down to see what was going on. He put his hand on the door knob to see what was up and to his surprise the door was ajar. We had locked it before I went to bed. He poked his head out and saw a lady walking around outside inspecting the area. She informed him that she was the owner and she had just got back into town. He asked her if she turned the light on upstairs and she said yes and that it was ok. And he asked her if she opened the front door and she said yes again and said it wad ok because she was the owner and he could lock it. Myself, my partner and kids slept through the whole thing. Hearing this in the morning was VERY distressing. Besides the weird incident in the night, everything else was good…

Very nice property and excellent host.

Large rental that easily accommodated our party of 6 adults. Would be appropriate for 8 people in total. Close to all shops and ammen6, but also very close to nature.
