We can not emphasize enough how wonderful this property was. Neighborhood was quiet. No problems were noted with our stay there. We will definitely try to book again next year.

We have stayed in a lot of homes in Galveston and this is our favorite!The house is beautiful. Very clean and very well remodeled/decorated while keeping the old world charm. The host is amazing. She thinks of everything and is readily available if you need anything. Few blocks from the beach and all the Seawall restaurants. Absolutely loved the place.

Property was nicely renovated. Quiet. Good location. A/C worked well. Had washer/ dryer for this dirty beach clothes. And I loved the sound machines in each bedroom for sleeping. Overall? 4.5/5 stars

Very nice and clean property my family and I enjoyed it . The only thing I wished it had door locks inside the 2nd entrances . Other than that it was perfect. Thank you

Thank you! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay! We are sorry you were concerned about locks, but since the front and back access doors both have locks, noone has access to the unit. The interior doors are mainly for climate control. We hope to have you again sometime!

Property was nice, little ways from beach but for the price, I'm not complaining. Host was responsive & helpful, even letting us stay an extra day on short notice.

Island Tranquility

From the moment we opened the door we felt so relaxed. The cool tan and turquoise decor gave the relaxing beach destination vibe. The location is spot on for the beach and the Strand. The hostess was quick to respond to questions and was great at providing island ideas before our arrival. Can't wait to stay again.

My friends and I went to Galveston for the weekend and had a blast! This property was perfect for 4 of us with a queen bed, 2 twins, and a couch. I would recommend and definitely will stay again. Host was great and helpful as well. Enjoy!

We had a great weekend! The location was perfect…close enough to enjoy Galveston’s culture (bike ride on the nearby seawall), character (gardens along the street) and liveliness (Mardi Gras parade) yet the home allowed us to escape to a quiet and relaxed neighborhood and pace. Well decorated and cozy. When we walked in to the entry hallway, my son asked “what smells so good?”…it’s the smell of the old pine wood floors and stairs…nostalgic! The sunlight coming through the living room windows made for a perfect reading spot. Angela was great and attentive!

Nice little cozy house, perfect for a small family. Conveniently located, with great neighbors. Everything we used worked as it should and house was very clean. Curb appeal lacks a little but the backyard was perfect for us. Inside you feel cozy and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Fadt communication with host even though it was only on my initial message, I didn't need anything more. 10 out of 10 for me

Good times

We first drove thru the neighborhood, I was concerned. Some of the places are not in very good shape. The hood looks very ghetto. But when we arrived at our place, it was clean and cozy. Spoke to a few neighbors and they were elderly and seem to be in good spirits, there places were nice and updated. So dont judge the book by its cover. Curb appeal was horriable, but inside was exactly what was needed. Had a great host. Very helpful and quick to help. Enjoyed our time for sure.

Angela is a wonderful host and overall we enjoyed our stay! The home is well located and stocked with everything you could need. She was very responsive to all requests and issues.The only reason I removed a star was because there was a dead roach on one of the beds when we arrived and we later found a live roach on the wall after returning from a night out. Angela did offer to allow us to cancel the remainder of our trip with a refund, but switching to a hotel wasn’t in our budget so we opted to stay. In addition, we had issues with the internet which was stressful for the family but Angela did address it by having the company come out and it was fixed by our final night. A partial refund in acknowledgment of the internet and pest issues would have been appreciated.

We are so glad you enjoyed our home! We work hard to make sure it is a comfortable stay for our guests. I know it can be frustrating to have intermittent internet; unfortunately it was a main line, and other homes in our area were impacted as well. As we mentioned that weekend, we had just sprayed for pests a few days before your arrival. I spoke with a pest control rep, and he said that with all of the rain we've had, it's not uncommon to see one here and there. We also checked with the guests who were at our home the prior weekend, and they had not seen any pests. We treated again after you left to be extra sure! When you mentioned that your family prefers hotels, we took the time to locate a hotel just down the street whose rates were comparable to what you would have been refunded by us for that night. We also offered for you to stay free of charge for that day until you could check into the hotel. I'm sorry that our offer didn't meet your expectations, but glad you enjoyed your trip nonetheless!

We booked the Lighthouse for a last minute weekend trip before school started and couldn't be happier!!! The house was exactly as described. Very neat and clean, spacious, and all up to date amenities. Loved how they updated everything but kept the character of the original wood floor and classic door knobs. The yard was well kept and plenty room for outdoor activities. Communication with the host couldn't have been any easier, she is just a text away and responds quickly! Locations is excellent being not even 1/2 a mile from the seawall and all the fun! HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAY HERE!!
