Ett rymligt, soligt havsutsikt hem, vänd mot kanalen. Ligger i ett litet område (med havet på ena sidan och träd och stadspark på den andra) vår fastighet har utsikt över ingången till kanal och närliggande öar och Pearson Cove. Kodiak Boatyard ligger tvärs över gatan och är vanligtvis upptagen i maj och september när kommersiellt fiske inträffar, vanligtvis tyst på sommaren.
Vi har nyligen utökat våra tjänster som ett fullt möblerat hyresavtal till månatliga månader för professionella, projektledare eller korttidsbehov för människor, tillgängliga mellan september och maj. Fråga efter specialpriset.

Hemområdet är 1600 kvadratmeter. Att vakna upp till en morgonkopp kaffe eller te, medan du tittar ut de många fönstren som vetter mot havet är ett nöje.

Bara några minuters promenad från centrala Kodiak vetter huset mot söder, med spektakulär utsikt över havet och närliggande Woody Island och Near Island. Koppla av och titta på Kodiaks överflödiga vilda djur: många örnar, sjölejon, sjöötter och sjölejon. Vårt hem är perfekt för att titta på de många kommersiella fiske- och fritidsbåtar som kommer och går. Vi tillhandahåller ett broschyr för att identifiera de många olika fartygen.

Den första våningen har ett varmt, lönnkök, våra skåp är fulla av krukor, köksredskap och disk. Lokala Kodiak kokböcker levereras för en speciell skaldjurmiddag, av din lokala fångst av dagen!

Det huvudsakliga vardagsrummet och matbordet är i detta område. Genom de franska dörrarna finns ett helt nytt badrum / tvättstuga och sovrum och en liten sittgrupp med TV och DVD-bibliotek. Den andra våningen har ett stort sovrum med fantastisk utsikt över kanalen, ett stort badrum och ett litet område för en extra futon eller uppblåsbar säng. (Det finns gott om plats för mer än två extra sängar, särskilt avslappnad sovande för barn).

Great Stay

Kitchen is well equipped with every appliance. Lots of pillows and blankets. Great location next to museums, visitor center, coffee shop. Fun to watch the boats in the boat yard across the street. Games to play and Two bathrooms! Only one of the beds was in a dark room so we woke up early for solstice.

Wonderfully comfortable house, Centrally located

We stayed at Lacy's house for 4 days and had a great time. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms it worked perfectly for the 4 of us. Large kitchen and living area. Nice to have a washer/dryer after a day of fishing. View of the waterfront was commercial but we enjoyed. Nice to see the ferries and fishing boats coming and going. Centrally located so easy to get to local restaurants and the harbor. Looking forward to returning.

We have rented this house in the past and it has suited us perfectly. We were fishing on a charter boat in the area and the house location gave us quick access to the harbor and several restaurants. The house is neat and clean and has a great view of the harbor.

Disappointing

While the accommodations were as described the communication with manager was terrible. I reached out several times and it was only after check in that I heard back. And we didn’t receive code for door until hours AFTER check in…thankfully lock box was left open not sure if that was accident or by design but because it was we were able to access the home. Otherwise we would have been locked out for hours!

We are a long-time Kodiak commercial fishing family for over 40 years. We have extensive knowledge about the Kodiak Archipelago, fishing, recreational activities, bear and wildlife viewing, with many personal friends who operate those
recreational, sport fishing, and wildlife viewing businesses. We can recommend local own pilots for bear viewing and sightseeing on local air charters. We have raised our children commercial fishing for wild salmon in Uganik and Viekoda Bays since 1983. Both Lacey and Chris have extensive community work and experience with local fisheries-related projects. Lacey is a founding member of the Kodiak Maritime Museum, and led the design of the colorful, unique interpretive sign project, located on the boardwalk & downtown harbor across from the marine businesses, coining the term 'Celebrate Our Maritime Heritage' . The signs are featured in a colorful booklet Waterfront Guide, for sale at the museum office.

We like seeing the boats come and go through the Channel! Fishing has been our way of life for several decades. Kodiak is ALL about commercial fishing, the largest port in Alaska. Check out all of the activities in Kodiak--from research facilities, to busy processing plants, harbors with 1000 vessels, the largest Coast Guard Base in the US, the types of vessels that fish, the harvesting of sustainable resources--Kodiak is the community to visit. You will see fishermen hanging nets, boats in the boatyard, the hub bub in the summer getting ready to salmon fish..Our home is perfect for the summer visitor, because we are salmon fishing between late May and mid-September. We purchased the house in 1984, choosing to be near the ocean, and have completely replaced the older home, into a three story home, with a warehouse and apartment on the bottom floor, and home on the top two floors. The house is 8 miles from the Kodiak airport, five minutes from the Kodiak Ferry Dock, a front seat view of the boatyard, five minute walk to downtown Kodiak, the Kodiak Visitor Center, the Alutiiq Museum, Baranof Museum, National Fish and Wildlife Service Visitor's Center, groceries , restaurants, marine supply and outfitting businesses, the movie theater, the boat harbor, Chamber of Commerce. There is a walking path along the front of the home, which goes east toward Spruce Cape, along the water and among colorful Kodiak homes. Nearby activities are kayaking, golf, recreational fishing, several rivers and creeks with abundant salmon fishing, the Buskin River, Mill Bay creek, and out the road to Kalsin, Womens, and Middle Bays with major salmon runs. You will learn all about a profession, the traditions, the net hanging, in Kodiak...a vibrant community. While other fishing towns have disappeared, you will be treated to a constant opportunity for photos. Don't forget to see the Waterfront Interpretive Signs on the downtown harbor boardwalk..14 of them, full color!

Guests receive a complimentary 'Celebrate our Maritime Heritage: Waterfront Guide' to aid in watching the fishing vessels pass by, the view of Near and Woody Island, access to the ocean is about 200 feet away, the home is located in a tiny, quiet neighborhood, surrounded by spruce trees, rose bushes, and raspberries!
For kids, a city park is a five minute walk, past the grassy area in the cove, to St. Herman's St.
