Great space on a quiet beach

This split level home is like having two rentals in one. Perfect for two families or an adult floor and a kid floor. The beach was great and also quieter than I thought it would be. Great communication with the owner and a great week!

This house was right on the beach and less than a mile from shops and restaurants. It was spacious and had ample seating for all of us. We had a great time!

Great house and location

Perfect location right on the beach and the house has amazing views of the Gulf. 4 king beds and bunk beds for the kids. House has all the amenities for a relaxing stay. Pool is big and very private surrounded by over 45 palm trees. Owners Sharon & Ben are available and answer any questions you may have. Both families drove EV’s and a free charging is one mile down the road at Buccaneer Inn, and Duke energy has chargers in town. Recommend you rent a golf cart to get around town. Would highly recommend this house for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation on St. George Island!

Absolutely wonderful

Friends vacation!! We had 8 of us in our group, this house was perfect! Lots of places To hang out as a group or alone. This place is amazing. So many different amenities for pool, beach and home. The TWO Full size refrigerators were great to have. The pictures don’t do the house justice. Four bedrooms have king bed and private bath. The pool, the landscape and view was superb!! Sharron and Ben were very responsive and so friendly. Would highly recommend this place if you visit SGI

Fantastic Family Home

This was our second stay in this lovely home. The size and the location are perfect for our family of 9 with lots of room to spare. Being right on the beach makes it easy to access and also to view from the deck or from inside. The pool is a bonus, and it provides another fun activity for everyone. Overall I wouldn’t change a thing!

Excellent Two Weeks

Stayed on the island for two weeks straight. House was perfect in every way. Owners were excellent to work with and helped with a curveball in our plans, super responsive. Great place to chill and enjoy the beach and walking distance to everything. Can't go wrong staying at this property.

Wonderful Oasis

Our family had a wonderful week in St. George. The house was perfect for our family (6 adults and 2 children). We enjoyed relaxing on the back porch overlooking the Gulf and unwinding pool-side after a fully day at the beach. Just a wonderful home to enjoy St. George Island!

On the beach with a heated pool

This house could not be closer to gulf. The pool was perfect for children. House was very well equipped and functional. Owners were responsive and appreciated. I would rent again.

5 Star All the Way

This property looked amazing in the pictures, but upon arrival, was even better in person. Beautiful, clean, amd spacing. The owners were amazing and attentive as well. Great communication and they pay attention to all of the little details that make a vacation stay special. The location is right on the beach and the house comes fully equipped. The in ground pool was magnificent and when they warmed it up it was a gamechanger. We had a party of 4 adults and 2 kids, but this place could comfortably house 12. If you stay here you will not regret it. We would highly recommend this property and will be looking to stay here again the next time we come to SGI.

Paradise on the Gulf

We visited SGI to Breathe Easy for our 2023 Family Vacation. Ages ranged from 13-88. We were a party of 8. Breathe Easy exceeded our expectations from day one. The house was huge, plenty of space to spread out and not feel on top of each other. Kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens I've ever seen from spices to plate wear and untensils. The view from the back porch and side porch are breathe taking. We watched the beautiful sunrise every morning as well as watching dolphins 10ft from the shore playing everyday!! They have plenty of beach chairs, beach toys, and towels you dont have to bring any of that with you. The owners Bob and Sharon were amazing and very punctual to any of our needs. We are already planning our trip back. If you want a slice of heaven and a beautiful beach house Breathe Easy is your pick! 5⭐'s across the board!!!

Fantastic Family Fun!

The house was perfect for our family of 9. Everyone had lots of space, and you can’t get any closer to the beach. The views from inside were fantastic too. The pool was a great place to cool down in the afternoon, and it was a lovely area to enjoy a meal together as well. We all agreed this was our favorite by far!

Relaxing Island Vacation

Beautiful property with everything you could need for a week at the beach. Large pool with lots of seating and privacy. Nice decks overlooking the ocean for your daily dolphin viewing. Plenty of room for everybody and sitting spaces on both levels. Kitchen has everything you could need and then more. Owners are amazing and even left little surprises for us for a warm welcome! Sharon was very quick and responsive to all questions. Amazing beach front property!

Fantastic

The house was better than we expected. It had everything we needed for the week including beach chairs, towels, beach toys, umbrellas and boogie boards. The pool was great for when the kids were over the sand. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. The location was perfect. Zero crowds on the beach. We rented a golf cart which worked perfect on the island. Communication was better than I could have imagined. We especially loved the extra treats for us and the kids. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic vacation

We stayed at “Breathe Easy” with our family and had a fabulous week. The house had an amazing view of the beach and water from both levels. The kitchen was fully stocked, including a croc pot, which we used. We loved long walks on the beach and enjoyed the close proximity to the water. We also enjoyed the pool and floats to relax. The house is large enough for everyone to have their own space. It was clean and comfortable. The gas grill was perfect for gilling burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and even pork tenderloin. The house is centrally located on the island which made shopping at Piggly Wiggly very convenient (only 3 minutes away). Ben and Sharon were the perfect hosts and easily accessible to answer any of our questions. We would definitely recommend this property for your family beach vacation.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Our family of 11 had a great visit this past spring break. The place was very spacious and with all the space everyone had their own area, especially for the teens. Wonderful views and great spot right on the beach. The heated pool was a very nice perk since a few days were on the chilly side! Property owners were wonderful to work with and even left a box of goodies for us for at arrival. We look forward to another visit next year, would definitely not hesitate to rent again. Thank you so much Sharon and Ben for an amazing week!

We made the best of the less than ideal conditions.

Access to the beach was excellent. The property maintenance was poor: Landscaping was overgrown and untrimmed The downstairs exterior entrance way was filthy The soffit and was in a state of decay The outdoor shower is ineffective The hose bib outside near the fish cleaning station does not work The windows are dirty and many of seals are broken causing the windows to fog distorting the view The interior and exterior grills do not work properly The storage box for pool toys is filthy The pool deck needs power washed The interior was generally dirty The ice maker in the refrigerator does not work properly The pool needs painted and the stairs are rusty The description of the property should indicate the downstairs living area is below ground level with poor views, low ceilings, and a small bathroom with its only access through the bunk bedroom. On our first morning we requested the owner to have the pool ladder fixed and the pool area cleaned. Sharon knocked on our door at 7:30 AM telling us that she wanted us out of the house immediately. We able to defuse the situation and did get the ladder repaired but the pool area was never cleaned. In my opinion, this could be an amazing property if it were maintained properly. We will not stay here again.

It was a great relaxing week. The property is in a great location. Loved the home and pool. This is a great home for larger groups. In fact, we are planning on returning next year with the kids and grandkids.

We love St. George Island and hope you will, too. First visited in May 2008, fell in love with the Island and purchased Breathe Easy in July 2009. We also live on the Island and are available during your stay, if needed. If you are looking for a low-key, family-friendly piece of paradise, we believe St. George Island is it.

Sitting on the balcony, watching the dolphins, while enjoying the sea breeze is one of our great joys in life. Add some friends and family to the mix and life can't be better.
