SoHoo Hyde Park

First off the area is amazing... in the description the unit is described as a one bedroom apartment which isnt exactly accurate... it does not have a livingroom however it can't be categorized as a studio because the bedroom is has 4 walls and door... I know weird... lol... the apartment is small but really nice. The unit was a little dusty on the counter tops and and the windowseals

I had a terrible experience since day one. two hours before my check-in, the property manager called me to tell me that I could not have the room that I booked with the balcony because there was a plumbing issue and that they need to move me to a different room and it didn’t have a balcony. The property manager was completely unresponsive and disrespectful. I was given the wrong code to enter my stay. when I finally was able to get into my room it smelled like toilet water. It was absolutely disgusting. I called the property manager about the smell and he told me and I quote “figure it out yourself”. I felt totally disrespected. I was on the phone with Expedia for an hour and they told me they couldn’t do anything because I couldn’t send proof of a video or photo that it smelled. How am I supposed to prove that?! finally on my last day, the cleaning lady knocks on my door at 10 AM saying that I need to leave when my checkout was not until 11 AM. I was rushed out of the room because the property manager was uncommunicative with the checkout time. I will never go back and I highly recommend no one come here.

No reply when needed the most.

The property itself looked really nice. When my welcome email was sent out it was missing the apartment number and security code. I was able to email the owner and they quickly sent me over my apartment number and security code and they also apologize. The only issue was the refrigerator did not work. I notified the owner Saturday morning and no one ever got back to me about the refrigerator. I lost groceries due to the refrigerator and freezer not getting to normal temperature. My frustration is no one got back to me for my entire trip, even at this point, no one has said anything about the refrigerator.
