The Neighborhood:
Some of the activities in the area include kayak rentals, white water rafting, mountain biking trails, mini golf, summer tubing, horse back riding, kiddie play zones, restaurants, bars and shopping.
Set off on adventures right from your doorstep:
- Situated in the heart of Government Camp you are a 4 min walk to Mt Hood Brewng and a 7 min walk to the heart of downtown Government Camp
- Being in Government Camp you are only 1.5 miles to the Timberline Lodge entrance and 0.5 miles to Ski Bowl
- Take advantage of the bountiful trails by being 0.7 miles to the Mirror Lake Trailhead and many other fantastic hikes
- Spend the day kayaking in Trillium Lake just 4 miles away
- Being on Mt Hood you are only 40 miles to Hood River and 28 miles to Sandy
Getting Around:
Ski bowl, restaurants, bars and shops are in walking distance including a small grocery store. A car is recommended. Though more transit options are growing. The Mt Hood Express or Hoodland Shuttle Co are great options for transportation services to and around the mountain.
Other Things to Note:
- No pets allowed, except for Registered Service Animals (must be registered with the HOA; failure to do so will result in a $250 fine).
- Please note: The HOA manages all common areas, including the pool and recreation room. Occasional closures for maintenance may occur, and are outside of our control. No refunds or discounts will be provided due to the closure of HOA-managed amenities.
- Please note parking is on a first-come, first-serve with limited spaces out front. You may have to park a second vehicle alongside the road. You will need a snow pass to access certain areas for parking, including alongside the street out front.

Please let us know if you plan to use the Futon or Air Mattress so we can make sure the appropriate amount of linens are left out for you. Pets are not allowed per HOA. Service animals must be pre-registered with HOA, all you need to do is submit any appropriate documentation you have to Hello@CascadiaGetaways.com along with your reservation information and we will register with HOA. Any violation of the pet rules will result in a $250 fee which is what the HOA fines us if any of our guests bring an animal that is not a pre-registered service animal. Service animals are always welcome and all fees will be waived for service animals however we do ask that you notify us in advance and provide some type of documentation for us to submit to HOA. Any damage caused by a service animal will be charged accordingly. Special events are not allowed. Smoking is allowed outside. Pass: The guest will need a snow pass to access certain areas to park. They may access more information here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/mthood/passes-permits/recreation Parking is first come first service with a limited amount of spaces out front. Guests may have to park a second vehicle alongside the road. The thermostat is on the floor registers, turn to the right to turn up and left to turn down. There might also be an additional small heater in the closet. Guests may use the pool when itâs snowing. Just remove the cover and replace it after swimming. The pool's unofficial closing time is when itâs too dark to swim. The Rec room is located on the 1st floor, code for it is 6678.
