Detta är sjön stugan din mormor besökt under sin barndom. Charmiga, ursprungliga 1920 funktioner. Stort ombyggda kök (ny spis / ugn) och stort vardagsrum för släktträffar och gäster. 9 sovplatser i komfort, har det ofta sov 20. Veranda med utsikt över sjön Wononscopomuc - djupaste sjö i Connecticut. Nära till tåg till New York och rekreationsanläggningar, i hjärtat av New England fristående skolvärlden och bara rätt för familjens maj och juni, slutet av skol och examen helger. Intill Hotchkiss School och Interlaken Inn. Bra fiske, vandring (inklusive tillgång till Appalachian Trail), antikviteter, golf, tennis, falla lövverk, sommarteater, dans och konst. The house is very comfortable and perfect for visiting with family and friends.We enjoyed the roomy kitchen space. The porch is great for relaxing and gazing at the tranquil lake. We appreciated the use of the canoe and the dock.

Have had a large family gathering here a few years in a row. Plenty of room for everyone and all associated activities. We were very happy to find the new stairs and dock, a huge improvement for water access.

Swimming and relaxing

Lots of time was spent in the lake, and thanks for the new dock for easy access to the water. The house is very comfortable for cooking and resting. Love the screened porch for lake views.

Don’t drive anything other than an SUV or Pickup down the driveway as it’s narrow rutted and has a mud pit right in front of the house. There are no walls and exposed wiring throughout the building. No soap or shampoo at the house for guest as is customary. The listing says it sleeps 18 but sleeps 10 only, so buyer beware. Musty smell throughout the house. Animals scratching from the basement at sunrise on the floors from below. Floors as a mishmash of unfinished wood and essentially a step above a dirt floor.“Master” bedroom had a futon as a bed and the other beds were no better. Not what I would expect in the area and for the price. Rustic at best so make sure you are prepared for a near camping experience. READ THE DESCRIPTION PROVIDED ON VRBO VERY CAREFULLY AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

great fall stay!

We had a wonderful time in Lakeville. The house is close to great hiking trails with wonderful fall foliage! The house was well-equipped for cooking and was spacious. We enjoyed the lake views and hanging out by the fire in the evening! The cabin was pretty chilly in October, and the space heaters helped heat up the smaller rooms but didn't make the main room and kitchen particularly warm, so plan to build a fire in the fireplace in the kitchen and the woodstove if you're there in the fall!

Spacious rustic cabin on beautiful lake

We had a little family reunion here with three generations of people and a couple of dogs too. It was just an amazing stay, beautiful tranquil lake that we swam in every day, and lots of room for everybody to have their own space, inside or outside. Loved every minute!

Great stay for a wedding!

This was a great property for our group of 11. The outdoor space was fantastic, especially the screened-in porch, and the common space in the house is great for a large group. Alden was very helpful and incredibly responsive. If I were to attend a wedding in the area in the future with a large group, I would definitely stay here.

Outstanding Lakeville rental!

We rented this great cottage for our daughter's wedding and could not have been happier. The owner responds to questions immediately, was very nice to deal with from start to finish, and provided all the necessary information to make the stay easy. Thank you so much for a great Lakeville rental!

Lakeville Lakehouse Weekend Stay

My girlfriends and I had a great weekend staying here! There was more than enough space for over 14 of us to sleep, and everything seemed to be clean and ready for us to get there when we checked in. The area was quiet and we were on one of the cleanest lakes I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous lake and a great place to spend with family and friends. My mom and I might even try to rent out the cabin to get the whole family together for the holidays in the future!

Beautiful Lake Setting

This is a rustic cabin on a beautiful lake in Connecticut. The cabin is an interesting built cabin and we enjoyed the screened in back porch alot. The kitchen is well equipped. There were also a lot of books and games available in the cabin.

Comfortable lakeside home

The house had several roomy seating areas icluding a large screened porch. The kitchen had lots of counter space and we enjoyed cooking in it. We did lots of swimming and canoeing. Had a very good week.

Nice Family Getaway

Family cottage on small lake. Located in beautiful area. Very scenic, paved bike path in excellent condition located just 7 minutes away. Lake was weedy and rocky, so it presented a little challenge at first for our grandkids (ages 5-8), but they quickly adapted and had a great time. Water shoes definitely helped.
