Fantastic chalet in the hills looking down onto Grindelwald and up into the mountains. We are an American family of six (kids ages 9 to 16) and traveled in July. The host was excellent at communicating in advance, helping us find appropriate activities and restaurant recommendations, he even found a French song on YouTube for us that we heard played on our travels. For those of you that use Google Mapsâdo not trust the final kilometer or so. It tries to take you through a shortcut that is really a paved walking/biking path. Follow the hostâs instructions and stay on the road with the homeâs address the whole way. The last few kilometers are narrow, but cars work through way through as you go up and down. A note on the area in general in summerâon good weather days, the better weather is in the morning and early afternoon. If clouds and rain come in, it will be in the afternoon. Get your hiking and views in earlier, just in case. Also, the gondolas generally end around 5:30p even though the sun doesnât set for hours. Plan ahead. We absolutely loved the place, would highly recommend and would visit again.
