You will sleep in absolute comfort under organic, linen duvets in the twocozy bedrooms. And if you have children or teens, a bunk bed with a relax/play area is available. High speed wifi is includedand each bedroom has a workspace. Awell situated covered deck for viewing sunrises with your morning coffee is a favouriteand the deck a perfect spot for watching northern lights. There are two fire pits; one by the house, also great for keeping warm while thenorthern lights appear and one by the riverbank. Many of the locals and tour operators use this areato watch for the aurora.
The Yukon River is at the end of the drivewayand a spectacular partof the location. Beavers are frequently seen as their lodge is one km upstream, and it's a prime spot for watching the annual Yukon River Quest competitors paddle by! Wolf and moose tracks are often seen in the snow here. You may be lucky enough to see one of them!
There are a pair of his/herssnowshoes, kicksleds and bicycles seasonally available for our guests. Bike trails and skiing is outside the door! Besides two elderly dogs and Nova the cat, there are three horses on the property and if you are interested in learning about horse behaviour and 'whispering horses' by arrangement, Angela is an expert!
The gourmet kitchen offers a supply of local products for salein our small retail area - coffee, tea, preserves and even eggs! Takhini gas station, 12 km away, carries snacks, essentials, locally baked goods, and off sales alcohol. Tum Tum's Meats at the same location has a large variety of organically producedlocal meats. We are 25 minutes from Whitehorse city centre, and 15 minutes from Eclipse Nordic Hotsprings, Bean North Coffee roastery, the Yukon Wildlife and ForestPreserves but the serenity and peace Land Haus instills just might keep you at home!
