Amazing Cottage and Location

This cottage and location far exceeded our expectations. The cottage had everything you could need to be comfortable. I highly recommend and hope to return. Communication with the host was great.

Lovely house, location and hosts. We very much enjoyed the peaceful stay and the kids loved the pool. I even got to have a wine chat with Albert next door and buy some great local biodynamic red wine. Thanks to Sarah and Paul. We hope to return.

Lovely Gite!

For our family of 4 it was perfect. Very clean, comfortable, and in a stunning location. The pool was a success as we had exceptionally hot weather. The owners were super helpful too. Llllllllllllllllll

Lovely cottage

A spotlessly clean and very well-equipped, comfortable cottage in a blissfully-quiet location. Owners very friendly and helpful. Maybe the photos were a bit misleading as they make it look as there's a wide lawn area at the back of the property which there isn't, and the pics don't show that the terrace is actually in the drive/parking area. Some shade on the terrace would have been great and we didn't use the pool area for the same reason. Despite those few quibbles, we thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

Best holiday I have ever had and I am fifty lol ! Gorgeous welcome from Sarah and Paul! Don’t take everything with you it’s all there washing powder, bbq equipment,even dish washer tabs. The pool is outstanding with internal steps and Paul cleaned it once when it didn’t really need cleaning . Absolutely spotless so homeley and private I couldn’t wish for more ,I would highly recommend this place ten out of ten.

Lovely house in beautiful area

We booked for a week and the communication from Paul & Sarah was very reassuring. They were both there to meet us on arrival and were a lovely couple. The house is clean and modern but also has lots of character with a lovley fire place and thick stone walls. We've been to the Dordogne dozens of times before so know the area well but it never fails to impress me with its beautiful rolling hills and countryside as far as the eye can see. The pool is adequate for a family but isnt the biggest. If you have older teenagers then it might be tad on the small size. Check the dimensions provided. The only criticism is that there isnt much shade in the garden and the one parasol by the pool is very small. Recommended shade. some rustic

Fantastic, well located, spacious Gite!

The check-in process and communication (well ahead of our arrival date) was flawless. We were very surprised at the level of detail that had gone into equiping the property and number of essentials that are rarely provided at other properties (bin bags, tin foil, cooking oil, laundry detergent spices and basics for breakfast! ) The owners clearly care a great deal and this should be acknowleged - as so many do not, in our experience. The house was spacious and clean and bedding was of a high quality. The garden was also spacious and the pool was larger than we expected from the photographs in the listing . We had a very hot week (mid August '23) and the pool was absolutely essential and a comfortables temperature (for our young children to spend hours in each day). The house is 10 mins or so from anywhere (so a car is essential) and the supermarkets are 15-20mins away. You are however only 10-20mins from many castles and the Dordogne river itself. We enjoyed the quiet. We would certainly return.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. Nos hôtes se sont montrés disponibles tout en restant discrets. La maison était propre, fonctionnelle et le panier de bienvenu très apprécié.La connexion Internet a parfois été capricieuse et la présence de quelques jeux de société aurait été un plus.Nous aurions grand plaisir a séjourner de nouveau dans ce logement.We had a very pleasant stay. Our hosts were available yet discreet. The house was clean and functional, and the welcome basket was very much appreciated.The internet connection was sometimes unreliable, and the addition of a few board games would have been a plus.We would love to stay at this property again.

Bonnes vacances en Dordogne

Une très jolie petite maison. Accueil plus que sympathique avec un premier approvisionnement dans le frigidaire pour le premier petit déjeuner. Vraiment très agréable. Pour que tout soit vraiment parfait, il faudra juste penser à changer les poêles qui ont fait leur temps. A part ça nous recommandons chaleureusement cette maison.

Tres beau gite

Tres beau gite, avec 2 belles salles de bains 2 chambres, parfait. Seul bemol la piscine froide et pau pratique a cause de la couverture. Quand a la situation tres, tres isolée.

Bonjour, Je vous remercie pour votre commentaire, je confirme que nous avons 2 salles de bains ainsi que 3 chambres à l’étage. La piscine n’étant pas chauffée (mentionner sur notre page) et avec les températures actuelles assez basses la nuit, il est difficile de maintenir une température de baignade hautement élevée. La couverture est standard et conforme aux normes françaises. Concernant la localisation, nous sommes dans un département très rural, mais la maison est située à seulement 15-20 minutes de Sarlat et d’autres villages touristiques avec une multitude d’activités pour petits et grands. Premières vacances dans le Périgord

Tout d’abord, nous avons été accueillis par Sarah et Paul qui sont des hôtes charmants . La maison correspond en tout point à l’annonce . L’emplacement géographique est idéal pour les visites . Impossible de s’ennuyer . Tellement de choses à découvrir dans cette belle région . Tout est beau . Tout est bon . Il est très agréable de profiter d’une piscine privée , surtout par cette chaleur. Nous avons pu nous reposer dans un calme absolu , dans un bel écrin de verdure , bercés par le chant d’une multitude d’oiseaux et de cigales . Amoureux de la nature , vous serez au bon endroit. Nous vous le recommandons.

Das Haus hat uns gut gefallen. Es ist gut eingerichtet und geschmackvoll. Sehr nette Vermieter. Schade ist, dass es etwas weit zu fahren ist zur nächsten Bäckerei oder Supermarché.

A Magical Week

The entire duration of our stay was characterised by the peace tranquility and natural beauty of the Dordogne, and the friendliness and helpfulness of Paul and Sarah. The house was beautiful, secluded and quiet in its own grounds, the swimming pool was welcome in the afternoon heat, and the towns, villages and historic sites within easy reach of Veyrinnes made it the ideal location for a long or short getaway. Thank you Sarah and Paul...we will definitely be back!

Lovely gite, great location.

The gite is in a beautiful setting, down a very quiet country lane. It is well-equipped and has a lovely private swimming pool, which was great for cooling off in. We visited many lovely villages and towns. Sarlat, a large medieval town is 30 minutes away, very bustling, lots of lovely shops, cafes, restaurants & historical buildings. Beynac is 5-10 minutes away, a lovely village. Belves is 5-10 minutes too. Rocamadour is 25 minutes & beautiful with lots of lovely shops. Martel for a steam railway trip, La Roque Gagaec is gorgeous including a wooden boat trip (Gabrerre Norbert), the caves at Gouffre de Padriac are well worth a visit (includes a boat trip), Monpazier is 30 minutes away & has a huge market on a Thursday, there are also several local Chateaus to visit, hiring canoes along the river - there's so much to see & do!! The only thing missing at the gite - air conditioning - this would be fantastic as the heat made it extreme;y hot in the bedrooms.

A lovely gîte in a beautiful location

We had a great week here. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The pool, though chilly at first, was very welcome in the heat and is surrounded by mature trees which provide plenty of shade. Sarah and Paul,our hosts, were welcoming and informative. The house is situated down a quiet country lane about ten minutes drive from the nearest village which has a castle, several restaurants and a fabulous boulangerie pâtisserie. The area is brilliant with châteaux and beautiful villages within a short drive. Highly recommended and excellent value for money

Une semaine très sympa près de Castelnaud

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine fin août avec nos enfants. La communication avec Sarah et Paul est facile et nous avons apprécié leur conseil. Le gîte est parfaitement bien placé pour rayonner dans la région en étant toutefois au calme. Tout y est. Propreté impeccable. Piscine peut-être un peu froide mais le temps n'était pas optimal. Un grand merci!

Formidable séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, accueillis magnifiquement par des hôtes au petits soins (mais très discrets). La maison est extrêmement agréable (et la literie très bonne), à l'écart des touristes de la région, et idéalement située pour visiter le coin. La piscine est un "plus" incontestable. Nous la recommandons sans hésitation !

If you are looking for a peaceful haven we recommend staying here. Super new bathrooms. We all really appreciated the quality of lovely cotton sheets. Paul and Sarah are lovely hosts.

Very pretty and peaceful setting

The cottage is surrounded by trees and we were visited by, amongst other things, a young deer and a red squirrel. Inside was spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed. The owners, Sarah and Paul, were very friendly and kind, made sure we were comfortable and told us about the local area, market days etc. The cottage is ideally placed for trips out to the numerous chateaux, gardens, prehistoric caves, picturesque villages and other places of interest. One chateau is literally a few minutes down the road and the nearby Dordogne river offers beautiful views as well as canoe or boat trips. All in all, a lovely holiday destination.

Perfect cottage for a wonderful familiy vacation

My wife and I along with our 4-year-old daughter had an absolutely wonderful holiday stay at the La Lande cottage. The location was scenic and quiet - perfect for relaxing. At the same time we were not far from canoeing on the Dordogne river and many stunning villages such as Castelnaud and Beynac. The entire cottage was in tip-top shape. I was particularly impressed with the kitchen - it is nice to spend some dinners away from resturants and we had everything we needed for a few evenings of dining in. Although we have a small family, there is plenty of space for larger families in the cottage. While the house by itself was great, the owners Paul and Sarah ensured our entire vacation experience was perfect. This was our first visit to Dordogne and the owners offered great guidance to resturance and actitivies - especially geared to a great holiday with out young daughter. While I could say more great things, I will sum up by saying that we extending our holiday to spend more days at the cottage as we did not want to go home.
