Charmig historisk bungalow i Ridgway centrum. Arkitektonisk renovering av hela huset har skapat ett modernt, bekvämt, soligt bergshus som fortfarande bevarar all historisk charm och detalj. Njut av utsikten över Courthouse från den privata uteplatsen. Huset möjliggör integritet och samverkan med vänner / familj. Stor inhägnad gård. Kort promenad till Ridgway restauranger, bryggeri, kaféer, antikviteter, offentligt bibliotek, livsmedelsbutik, hårdvara, cykelväg och Uncompahgre River Valley, vacker stadspark med lekplats, mogna bomullsträdträd, och sommar bondens marknad.

Huset är mest bekvämt för 4 vuxna, och priserna nedan är för 4 vuxna. Vi är villiga att överväga större grupper mot en extra kostnad; vänligen kontakta för mer information. Vi har en vistelse på minst 3 nätter. Perfekt för familjesemestrar, resor med vänner, släktträffar, bröllopsfesten eller en lugn reträtt.

Två sovrum har stora sängar med fulla garderober. Ett tredje sovrum har en queen size-säng med full garderob. Sovrummet öppnar till privat bakre veranda. Badrummen har strålande golvvärme, kaklade duschar (2) och badkar (1). Avsluten solporch och två generösa dämpade fönsterstolar för slapp. Smakfullt utformat kök har allt du behöver för matlagning. Högeffektivt tvångsvattenkylarsystem på flersonat system, plus gas-eldstad för kyliga nätter. Massor av sol, stora fönster och högeffektiv isolering håller huset mysigt på vintern och svalt på sommaren.

Allt som San Juan-bergen har att erbjuda är precis utanför dörren. Enkel åtkomst till vandring, cykling, skidåkning, promenader, bad, shopping och utforska. 30 minuters bilresa från Montrose, 20 minuter till Ouray, 45 minuter till Telluride, med skidåkning och shopping i världsklass.

Such a cute, comfortable house! Loved the back porch and being able to walk from the house to the town. Awesome location for folks for folks wanting to visit Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride since we wanted to hike/run the Hardrock Course. I would definitely stay at this place again if in the area. One of the best VRBOs I’ve stayed at!

Absolutely Wonderful Ridgway Stay

We loved our stay! Amazingly well stocked and functional kitchen. Extremely clean and nicely decorated throughout. Thought the home was even nicer than the pictures. Beds were comfy as well! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great House right in town

Loved the place. Cute little house right in town, everything was very sufficient for a short stay. Easy walk a few blocks in to town for coffee or dinner. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities. Comfortable beds and a great small deck and patio out back for relaxing.

Ouray Ice Festival Weekend

We had a great weekend staying at this property & attended the Ouray Ice Festival. Plenty of room to store our climbing gear & ample kitchen space for cooking group meals. We would definitely stay again!

Home Base

We loved this darling home. Came for a family wedding. Perfect for our family of four adults! Lots of privacy and can walk to everything. The host was very accommodating. If we go back to the area we would love to stay in the same home.

A home away from home in Central Ridgway- close to Telluride and Ouray.

This was one of the best places we have ever rented. Location was a perfect 1/2 mile or less to the town square and several restaurants and market and a route that leads to a river walk. The layout was great, beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked and the fenced backyard was so perfect. Good wifi, great communication, cute touches throughout. What more could you ask for?

Great place & so convenient!

We had a great time in Ridgway - and the house was great. The house itself had everything we needed (and more) & was so close to restaurants and shops. The house binder was really helpful in selecting places to eat - Eatery 66 was a clear winner! The property manager was helpful with our questions & getting into the house was a snap. It was perfect for our fall getaway - would definitely come back and stay again. Thanks!

Wonderful

We enjoyed our visit at the Solar Ranch. We enjoyed eating out on the porch. The pictures of the kitchen don’t really show how the kitchen works and it does work well. The house is a wonderful old house that has been nicely updated with energy efficient windows and binds, making this house nice a cozy. A plus is that had fun weavings and interesting art. It would be great to see solar panels on the roof. It is something we are always looking for in a rental. Thank you for a great stay.

Planned trip last summer to be with our Colorado kids but cancelled due to COVID-19. Was delighted the property was available this year and were able to extend our stay an extra night. I would like to transplant the house closer to Texas. Is the best rental we’ve found…

Perfect Home Base

This was our second time staying a week at the Blue Cottage (2021), as we like to call it, and it's just as we remembered. One story, well-equipped--every detail is taken care of. It's a short 5 minute walk into Ridgway and its great restaurants, grocery store and coffee place, not to mention the greenway to Ridgway State Park. We love the fact that Ridgway is non-touristy and yet in close proximity to everything in the San Juan Mountains! We even drove to Montrose and Black Canyon National Park for a day. Truly a comfy stay and a magical area to visit in the fall.

Quirky and Comfortable Home

This place was great for our family of five. There was room to spread out. There’s plenty of space for parking and a yard big enough for the kids to play and run around. Just inside is a modern washer/dryer that worker flawlessly. You enter into a “sun porch” style room and the master bedroom is to the left with a bathroom and the remainder of the house is to the right. The kitchen is older, but functioned well. There’s not a lot of space to store pantry food and the pan selection is slim. There’s a modern full size fridge-freezer. Oven and stove both worked well. We even used the dishwasher and it too functioned as expected. The dining room is tight but there is seating for six. One of the bedrooms is off the dining rI’m and the other is off the living room. There’s a light/chandelier That hangs very low in the living room, So if anyone in your party is taller, mind your head. The only other thing is that the house is not airtight… It is older, Which brings charm and bugs.nothing too scary, just a lot of tree bugs. The walk in to town is quick and it is very quiet out there minus the highway noise. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Perfect place to stay

We loved this house. The decor was lovely, the beds were all extremely comfortable and the house was immaculate. This is a sweet little private retreat in the most convenient location you could get. We had 3 young children (4,8,9) and we walked to town and road scooters to town multiple times a day. There are so many windows that you can open and let all the light and breeze in day and night. The yard is huge and private with tons of lush cottonwood trees among other bushes and greenery. It also has a back porch and patio that was so relaxing. At times I almost thought I was at the beach! At night we kept all the windows opened and it was so quiet and peaceful. We didn't even have to use our sound machines that we usually travel with for the occasional barking dog etc. The only sound we heard was the crickets. Really couldn't have asked for a better stay. This town and this house are such a gem- so quiet and away from the crowds of the neighboring areas of Ouray and Telluride. We went to both and quickly ran away to come back to our peaceful Ridgway hideaway:) Stay here and you will feel at peace and at home.

Very Comfortable House, Helpful Owner

I stayed here for one month during Aspen color season and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is a couple block walk (3 minutes) from restaurants and the supermarket. The house has been redone beautifully and is very comfortable -- everything one needs. The owner was very helpful and sent detailed information on the house prior to my arrival. The owner's local friend was delightful and available for any issues I might have had. (I had none.) There is no live TV, but I was able to access all I needed via WiFi. Having a great washer and dryer was SO helpful. The kitchen set up is very good. There are 4 or 5 thermostats so that one can be comfortable in any room without overheating the place. Ridgway is a great location -- easy to Ouray (10 min.), Montrose (30 min.), Telluride (45 min.), Silverton (1 hour). Grand Junction is a 1 hour, 40 minute drive. Fantastic Moab, UT is about 3 1/2 hours. You've got to see the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, a 45 minute drive just past Montrose. The are hiking and mountain road drives everywhere. The house was just what I wanted and hoped for. I would have no hesitation to stay there again. In fact, I will stay there again if I return to Ridgway.

My family has been coming to Ridgway for over 40 years! We love to get-away from our cities to be in the sunlight, air and incredible mountains of the area! Sometimes we come for family time, sometimes time with friends. We wish we could be there more often...but now we can share it.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Ridgway is a perfect location : private enough to keep it a little bit secret, but close to Telluride, Ouray, Durango, Montrose and the majestic San Juan Mountains. There is hiking, biking and skiing for all levels. There are public hotsprings for families and private springs for couples. Telluride offers a film festival, music festivals and some of the best skiing in the world! My grandfather found the house in the 1960's and we've loved the area ever since!
