Welcome to our beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage in the Amston lake district which comfortably sleeps 10 people. The cottage is designed for optimal serenity and relaxation. Enjoy your stay with family and friends. The cottage is fully equipped for those looking for a quick getaway or a longer transitional stay alike.
Walk to the lake within 2 minutes, enjoy the use of 2 private beaches, canoeing or fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and sunbathing with ample parking.

This stay was definitely not what the listing advertised. We walked into mold on the shower curtain, mice droppings in the closet of the rooms, and a dishwasher stuffed with dirty dishes such as mold on the utensils and cups with curdled/old milk (I think?) still in them. Absolutely unusable and smelled terrible when opened. They gave us one garbage bag for the entire stay and when asked if there were more elsewhere, I was told, "We don't usually provide these kind of things" and still expected us to drag the trash bin to the front. Also, the listing promised chairs around the fire pit but there were zero chairs anywhere outside.For the price and the way the listing was written, this was really disappointing. It didn’t match what was advertised at all.On a positive note, the lake was amazing and very close to walk to.
Moldy plates and Utensils. All of the forks and knives had this.
The smell that came out of this when you opened it was AWFUL.

Amston Lake getaway

Highlights: My family of 5 had a great time visiting Amston Lake. We loved the nearby (5 min walk) sandy beach with 2 kayaks, life jackets and paddles provided for our use. Susan was quick to reply when we couldn't locate the paddles. The memory foam beds were comfortable, along with the light summer linens. To clarify the listing- the 2 downstairs rooms each have a queen bed, and updstairs has 2 twins. I understood there were inflatable beds for use, but we did not use. Having AC was a must and worked well for us, but units, particularly the main and upstairs, were quite noisy. Things that would have improved our stay: The photos make the cottage appear updated and well finished. In person this cottage felt more rustic due to things like sloping and soft in spots floors, doors that stuck, and lighting fixture issues in the kitchen. Overall, we'd recommend this place for the location, spaciousness, and lake access.
