It’s a place to sleep and eat. It needs a good cleaning, inside and out. Mold growing in the bathroom is bad, drywall disintegrating. The outside should be lovely by the lake but it needs cleaned and up kept. Kitchen and living area is fine. For the price it was not up to par.

I take your comments very seriously and will address your concerns that I can find. I am sorry your stay did not work out as you planned with your boat breaking down and missing the refund policy. I hope future stays have better luck for you. Safe travels.

Great house and beautiful views of the lake

the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and almost anything you need. The owner keeps a great stock of recent DVDs which the kids enjoyed. We also love that we can tie up a pontoon boat right at the dock! Great vacation spot! I highly recommend it.

Family get together

This property is just as advertised. The owner was very responsive and the house was very clean. It was just off the main lake in a channel and very quiet. My dad was able to easily tie his boat up without any issues after launching at the marina. It really was a great little place that allowed me to stay while I was back home visiting family.

Was a great time, was not sure which house it was , neighbors helped us. Everything in the house was great and worked out very well for us. Just was not sure what all we should do upon departing with bedding and towels and things like that.

From Ireland to Lake Shaffer

Kitchen was well stocked with dishes. House was spotless. Fun card games available. Only issue was the AC that struggled on the 90 plus day. Very quiet seldom even saw a boat on the lake.

Glad you had a good stay. I am sorry about your issue with shower. I wish you would have reached out. The shower is activated by pulling down on the end of the tub spout where the water comes out. Hope to see you again. Safe travels.

Great place for family vacation

The house was a great home-base for our family's trip to Lake Shafer. The six of us (2 adults & 4 kids) were more than comfortable inside the house. Everything inside was new and well kept. The two decks in the back with the outdoor fireplace and the seawall were great for swimming and just hanging out. The usual tourist attractions of Indiana Beach and Lake Shafer/Lake Freeman were a short drive away. Our kids, ages 8-14, loved the place. We'll be back.
