With two bedrooms and a pullout couch accommodating up to six guests, it's ideal for couples or a small family. Enjoy leisurely strolls to the beach, explore the nearby casino, or venture into the state park for outdoor adventures. After a day of fun, unwind in the great sunroom, soaking in the coastal vibes. Very close to the beach. We stayed a few nights and the house was perfect! The owner provided easy check in/out details and was great with communicating.

We had a wonderful visit! The house is comfortable and being able to walk to the beach was perfect. There were minor kitchen supplies that needed replacing and the host was quick to reply and get what was needed. We would come back!

Great Beach House

Really nice place to stay - close to restaurants, the zoo, a beautiful beach. Got a little sandy (expected with a beach so close!) but there’s a dustpan. Beds were clean and all the furniture was nice. Great place! Would definitely stay again!

Easy access and check-in. Very close to beach, zoo, shopping, Barker museum, and restaurants. Pet friendly, had poop bags and scooper for waste plus small fences in yard. Hot tub was very clean, worked great and was a nice way to end our days. Beach towels and house towels supplied. Much larger house than what the photos show. A little over an hour to Chicago’s museums by train. Station was only a 6 minute drive. Great house as a home base but large enough for our family of 5 dog if staying in. Will be back!

Michigan City

Me and my partner stayed here and absolutely loved it! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and zoo. The host was very responsive, made sure our stay was amazing and and was eager to help if needed. My favorite part of the house was the sunroom/screened in porch, such a beautiful home! Perfect place for a little couples trip or a small family/friend group. Hope to be back one day!!

We had 3 adults and 2 dogs for 4 nights. The house was very clean and had a mix of pluses (great soft towels and nice bedding) but minuses (no bedding for sofa bed and minimal kitchen tools). For me it met average accommodations.

Lake Michigan

If you're considering a trip to Michigan City, I recommend staying at this beach house!! It was the perfect size for our small family of 3 and dog, who enjoyed lounging in the sunroom & on the patio. The hostess was easy to reach and ensured we were comfortable during our stay. Ample beach necessities (e.g., wagon, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.) were available to enjoy a day at the Washington Park Beach, which is a very short walk. Also walking distance is a zoo, ampitheater, lighthouse, marina, beachside restaurant, and 2 playgrounds. We would definitely stay here again!!

Michigan City

The location of the house was great and a quick walk to the beach. The house itself was very clean and had a very nice deck, sun porch and nice bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom were a bit dated and wer tight for 6 people. Overall we enjoyed our stay however the property is managed by a property management company and not the owner. We encountered several problems that were not resolved during our stay. The garbage cans in front were jam packed beyond capacity and we had nowhere to put our garbage (other than on the street next to the cans). The property manager repeatedly said she would take care of it and it never happened during our 3 day stay. Her solution was to leave it on the porch where we had to enter and exit throughout the day. There was also no bedding for the pull out sofa and 1 towel in the linen closet. When I called about this, I was told they were in the dryer in the basement. There were about 15 towels, 2 sets of sheets and a mattress pad all balled together in the dryer soaking wet. I had to pull it all apart, dry the linen and towels for 2 cycles and fold and bring upstairs. Aside from that the rental did not provide any information about the beach, the thermostat (which was extremely difficult to figure out), or anything else for the matter. Supplies were extremely limited (1 roll of paper towel, 1 roll of toilet paper, etc.) The house met my expectations but the management of the property did not. They waived my cleaning fee after I requested
