The house was in a great location. Close to the beach, shopping, ect. The house was “homey” and had everything you might need. I would rent again.

Worked out great, particularly for four guys who cook. The kitchen was large and well-equipped. And the dining room was connected just steps from stove to tabletop.We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch. hung out in the living room, played cards and generally had a great time.Dennis

The house was clean, it’s definitely nostalgic. The host contacted us ahead of our arrival. The kitchen was well supplied and everything worked great! We were surprised that the steps were steep and older people might have a challenge especially if carrying luggage up the stairs. It’s close to the beach! Overall, we were very comfortable and had a great time.

We ran into a few disappointments, we weren’t told about the road construction in front of the house until we notified the caretaker we were on our way. The fire pit did not resemble the picture on the website but instead was full of overgrown grass and small sprouting trees and there were no chairs but one. No instructions on how to regulate the air conditioner posted, There were a couple of trip hazards one entering the kitchen and one entering the bathroom. While we did enjoy our stay there is a few simple changes that would have made our first VRBO experience more enjoyable.

Oscoda on the hill!

This property accommodated my family perfectly, it had a great central location. The restaurants, the beach, tubing/canoeing, and ice cream were all in walking distance! The host was great as well. Will definitely be staying again!!!

House on the Hill

Charming and lovely home with a spacious main level and all the needed accommodations. We enjoyed our stay and that it had a well-stocked kitchen with plenty of linens, blankets, pillows for the 3 bedrooms. The location is perfect with downtown & the beach access just a short walking distance away. Appreciated the large side & back yards for the dogs and the front porch. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We would definitely recommend to friends and book again.

Just steps from fun

This home was located perfectly between the AuSable River and Lake Huron. A couple blocks to the right and you can go tubing down the river and a couple blocks to the left your sitting on a beautiful Lake Huron beach. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to come back soon.

The location was nice. We were able to walk to town and to the beach. We had some issues during our stay that made things a bit stressful. There was construction in front of the house that was so loud and shook the whole house. That’s temporary and not the fault of the owners of course, it just added to our frustrations. We were told ahead of time that the keypad on the door did not work so we had to use the key that was in the lockbox. The key did not open the door smoothly. It eventually worked. We then did not have Internet and spent a bit of time trying to get that going. Then the TV wasn’t cooperating, and we had to spend some time with that, but it eventually started to work. The toilets didn’t flush right and it took a couple of days before we figured out what the trick was. We then used the dryer and it wouldn’t start. It flashed a locked sign. We found the manual and were able to get it working. A couple of guys came to mow the lawn and they blew grass all over our table and grill that we had set up in the driveway and all over the sidewalk in front of the house so it was being tracked inside. I contacted the person regarding these issues and she responded. I did have to contact her again when she said she would get back to me but in the end, the owners gave us a small discount for our troubles.

Retro Getaway

The house has a cool, retro type of decorating style and was very comfortable. The only thing I would mention is that they should give renters a heads up that the driveway is located off of a side road and not the main road. It was hard to find it.

Great Oscoda Rental

The place is nice, a little cluttered, could use some TLC and some updates but the rental is in a nice location in Oscoda. You are able to walk to anywhere and about 0.5 miles from Lake Huron.

Outdated but had everything we needed. This is an older home so doorway to bathroom was narrow & toilet was low. The close proximity to the beach & DQ out weighed the small inconveniences. The manager Kathryn was very responsive to questions & had turned on the air prior to our arrival.

The inside of the house was wonderful. It felt like a real lived in home, not some modern fake place. Just watch your first step down the stairs. They are painted black, so if the light is not on, it maybe a little tricky lol. Normal older small town home where the toilets flush a bit slow, but worked. The manager was wonderful. I had a little issue with the Wi-Fi. I sent her a text and she helped immediately. Very lovely home, and Dairy Queen and restaurants are only abut a thousand feet away for some yummy ice cream and food. Not to mention, easy walk to Oscoda Beach!The only real thing I was not impressed with was the landscaping. The grass was overgrown. I had to really clean out the fire pit for a fire. The front porch area was overgrown. It did not look like the nice landscaping pic that is shown. Other than that, the home is very beautiful on the inside.

This was our second time staying at this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. We are also very appreciative that this property is dog friendly and we were able to bring our mini schnauzers along on our vacation. It meant the world to us. The house is a couple blocks from the river and Lake Huron. Great location. We will definitely be back next year
