Wonderful home for a large group

We rented this home and the guest house for our family to stay in during our intimate wedding and it was perfect!! The house was so clean and beautiful. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay and the dining room was wonderful for big family meals. The property manager was also incredibly responsive. We had a wonderful stay!

Awesome and spacious Home!

The house was absolutely amazing! There were 16 of us staying in the home and we never felt like we were running into one another and had a lot of space to stretch out and relax. The outdoor fire pit was a great break nightly and we absolutely loved this home! This was by far one of the cleanest homes we have ever rented! We hope to stay here again in the future!

Great place

The grounds are awesome! The house is awesome! We were able to have family and friends of 18-20. We had privacy in rooms and plenty of space for gatherings. This is a fabulous property for a large group. The management was wonderful. The location was private yet close to any things. Beautiful area! We will definitely come again. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

FANSTASTIC!!

The house was perfect, we loved it. We would like to have more fans in the bedrooms, it was uncomfortable at nights. We also needed lights in the patio, we all like to cook outside. You have a beautiful place.

Best House in Ouray for Large Group

We had a wonderful stay at this property! We picked this home for the large gathering spaces - kitchen, dining and living room. It is just as pictured. Each room is well appointed with comfortable bedding and the bathrooms were well stocked with all the essentials. Great parking with two trailers and our kids really enjoyed the outdoor areas. The owners were able to make recommendations on great things to do and places to eat in the area which was a wonderful resource. They were very responsive when needed. Our only drawback was that there is no central air and with the size of this home the few fans and mobile ac units just didn't put a dent in the above average temperatures. It was hard to cool the home down to even a comfortable temperature until well after sunset.

Outstanding!

We have a group of 10 that never experienced this level of luxury on our annual guy trip. Everybody had their own room. There are spacious common areas and plenty of bathrooms. The property is 10 minutes from Ouray with its restaurants, hot springs and of course the ice park. Telluride is about an hour away for skiing. Whale of a time!

Perfect House for a Large Family

Our extended family enjoyed a long weekend at this beautiful home. We had 8 adults, two teenagers and one 18 month old and it was perfect for our needs. The dining room was huge so we were able to eat together every night, the family room could seat us all comfortably, and the house itself was a work of art. The views were incredible, and we even had deer roaming around the property all weekend. It was a quick trip to Ouray and the owners were a pleasure to work with. We hope to come back again soon!

Ridgway wedding

The house was perfect for our needs. It is huge and beautiful. Tons of space for different groups to hang out in the living room, kitchen, basement pool table room. we had between 18 and 20 people staying comfortably, each with a comfy bed. The two master bedrooms are fantastic. Master shower is over the top. Two large refrigerators and the devil oven were super helpful. Super quick drive to Ridgway or Ouray. Great experience, overall!

Montrose Christian Church

We had 20 men using both the main house and the other home on the property. Everyone was wowed by how nice the homes were and all the features within. The huge great room and dining room allowed us to meet together very comfortably and the property gave everyone room to relax. Ouray is just a few minutes away which had many things to keep us busy and great places to eat as well. We were very pleased with everything and are looking at using this property in the future for marriage retreats and ladies retreats as well. Looking forward to coming back!

Breathtakingly beautiful

First and foremost, please excuse us for writing your name incorrectly on the guest book. Our entire family had the most amazing time and your home is by far the most beautiful i have seen. Waking up to the views around the house was amazing, the towns of Ouray and Telluride are gorgeous. The entire home is so accommodating, we had plenty of room for everyone, it was very cozy and oh just beautiful!!! we do hope and look forward to going back soon. Thank you!!!!!

Awesome Vacation Home!

This may be the most beautiful home that I have ever stepped foot in. The photos and reviews show a truly beautiful home, but it is even nicer in person. Every detail and accent is first class including the customer service of the owner Jen. I would highly recommend this home for your next vacation. Details: We were three military families with young children that rented out this home as a base camp for exploring SW Colorado. The Fall colors were in full bloom despite a fresh layer of snow in the surrounding mountains. The views of Mt. Sneffels framed in Aspens from the deck were amazing. We were able to explore some of the surrounding area, but hopes of hiking up in the mountains were dashed with the cold weather. A few local attractions that I would highly recomend are 1) The Ouray Hot Springs Pool 2) The local Box Canyon Falls 3) Wandering downtown Ouray and Silverton 4) The Duranmgo-Silverton Rail (all day event) and of course driving the Million Dollar Highway. The owner, Jen, was awesome to work with. She was courteous, prompt in returning messages and generally a pleaseure to communicate with. We will surely be back!

Beautiful Property, Lovely Setting

I am a CO native and have spent time in Ouray since childhood. Could not ask for a more gorgeous, idyllic setting for a getaway. The house has a convenient location off the highway leading to Ridgway and is very spacious. The huge living room was awesome for our guests. There is a beautiful creek right outside the back of the home that is fantastic to listen to at night with the windows open. Overall a wonderful place and lovely, spacious older home that has had a significant amount of updating done. My only complaints are: (1) internet worked for none of our guests, IP address could not be detected by any devices; (2) some windows in the home do not open, the cranks are apparently stuck; (3) the downstairs was very musty when we first arrived, had to be aired out; (4) communication with property manager could have been better, I had requested an early check-in over a month prior and was told I would be informed if we could do that, and never heard anything until day of arrival. This is a very expensive VRBO to rent as the whole home, and for the high price we paid it seems reasonable to expect internet as promised (a few of us had to work each day), and slightly better service. Overall, again, a beautiful home and you just can’t beat Ouray.

Splendid Stay at an Amazing Retreat

The house is nestled in a quiet area, and surrounded by beauty, out "away from it all" and yet only a few miles from the quaint town of Ouray. The interior of the house is stunning and spacious; beautiful decor, comfortable beds, extremely clean, plumbing and top-notch appliances in perfect working order. It was so nice to be able to seat a huge party at the same dinner table for each meal for togetherness. When quiet time was wanted, it was easy to find a spot alone in the big house or out on the deck that wraps around almost the entire house The owners of the property were friendly, and quick to answer any and all of our questions. Everything went smoothly, including receiving our deposit back as promised in a timely manner. If you are not familiar with the area, Ouray (and surrounding) boasts of amazing hiking and jeeping trails, ranging from novice to pro. For families with small children, right in town there is a small hike to the falls (which you can see from the town, cascading down the red mountain) and another that you absolutely can't miss, Box Canyon Falls. Not that you'll get tired of the woodsy green mountain and stream hikes, but for a change of pace, you can drive to Black Canyon and be mesmerized by the tall "painted" canyon walls. There are nearby mine tours, picnic areas, ghost towns...loads to do. If you have an opportunity to stay at this property, do it. We are already planning for our next stay there!

You Can't Beat this House For A Large Group

Our family of 15 adults all raved about this house and it's setting in the middle of the beautiful San Juan Mtns. It is nearly impossible for our group to find a house where everyone has a bed but this place was so spacious that there was actually room for more. This house has been set up with the best of everything, huge sectional seating for 20 in the great room, several HD TVs, a great kitchen, a game room with pool table and 8 bedrooms. The 2 king suites upstairs are remarkable. Decks nearly surround the entire house and there is a cozy gas firepit area in the back. Our family has enjoyed a summer get together for 21 years and this far exceeds any previous lodging. The kitchen was a joy to cook for a large group in and we even had a dining room table large enough for all 15 of us. There are also several very nice restaurants within 10 minutes either direction. The owners have decorated this house with love and care and it shows their love of the area as well as for their guests. They are also so friendly and helpful that they felt like part of our family. The house has a great central location, just a few minutes to Ouray and Ridgway, about 35 minutes to Montrose (airport), 40 -50 minutes to Silverton and Telluride. It makes for a great base camp to explore the most beautiful area of Colorado. Hiking trails & jeep trails abound and while there is no hot tub, the fabulous Ouray Hot Springs Pools are just a few minutes away. If you have a large group or family, you cannot go wrong with this house. Not only is it perhaps the nicest house you will ever rent, it is also a great value. I highly recommend this house and hope to rent it again and again.

Cutler House

Laura Benton was a pleasure to deal with and exceptionally responsive. We had an issue with the front door lock making a high pitch noise for 2-days but someone came out quickly to try and resolve on the 1st day and did resolve on the second day. It was not convenient to have to wait until 5pm to ck in as this is too late in the day.

Fabulous gathering spot!

Several of us gathered to attend a wedding in ridgway. This space was perfect for people coming and going. The kitchen is set for many people - dishes, pots and pans, and large table for eating. Had fun at the game table plus breakfast on the deck. We had ages 25-95 and all went well.

Ridgeway Ouray Mansion

This is a beautiful large vacation house, large family room, dining room, nice kitchen and eating area. Two large nicely decorated master bedrooms. Basement with 5 more bedrooms, all adequately sized. Outdoor deck with table for 6, patio. Sure to amaze when you first see it! Cons are no central air, difficult to cool especially the bedrooms late on a hot day. Silverware was just adequate for 10 people. Windows are all crank windows and a number of the windows do not work for varying reasons. Some exteriorstone is falling from deteriorating fireplace chimney in master bedroom. Location is about 12minutes to Ouray, 15 minutes to Ridgeway State Park. I saw 25 species of birds over the week off the back deck. Nice variety. Would stay again!
