No Hot Water… No Refund. Once in a lifetime vacation ruined

We booked this property because our family from multiple countries wanted to be together on this once in a life trip. When we arrived we were informed that one of the showers was not working. We thought that stinks but ok. Our guests arrive from Poland & there is no hot water. We follow the instructions given & wait. We get home from a day of exploring & another bathroom ceiling in leaking, water everywhere. It dripped all night. We message the host right away. They say we need to leave the property for them to fix the leak & they will fix the hot water also. When we arrive back home the ceiling is fixed but there is still no hot water. The host sends a repair man again, says they fixed it & to wait 3 hours. We check the water again & there is still no hot water. Some of our guests have not showered since Wednesday when they started traveling. It is now Friday! We are still patiently waiting & by Friday night it is still not fixed. The host sends a repair man again, still no hot water. On Saturday morning there is still no hot water so we move out to another hotel. Apparently by 5:28pm on Saturday there is hot water. The property owner declined to give us any refund at all. The whole situation felt like a scam, we found other reviews outside of VRBO that said this property does this often and refuses to refund. Do not stay at this property, they seem nice but they refuse to be reasonable. 2 and a half days on a vacation with no hot water is unreasonable!

Best accommodation for my group

Conveniently located in the heart of the stunning old town, the apartment is ideal for large groups or big families. All rooms are independent and offer compete privacy, while in the large living room-kitchen and in the veranda we were all together. The apartment is stylish, all furniture and bedrooms are amazing and the cleanliness in all areas was wonderful. Xenia as a unique hostess with fluent English and gave the best suggestions for everything we asked for!!! P.S. book your transfer from and to the airport with Xenia, if you want to save time and have a peace of mind with all travel arrangements

Unique luxury experience

A great idea for a family vacation! Comfortable spacious separate rooms and private bathrooms each - a great living room space and a vast patio area for all of us to spend time together and relax after a busy program in the center of Athens! Fantastic location in the center of everything! All amenities provided are high quality and the house is brand new. Thank you Michael and Xenia for your help and support! Thank you for suggesting us to visit Medea theatre for making us laugh!

Great Stay

Amazing apartment. Only “complaint” is that the WiFi was extremely slow. It was not easy to work online. But would definitely stay again! Host actually checked us in in person to make sure we had all the info we needed.

Awesome everything

One of the best VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in. Location was ideal for tourist. Lots of space. Beautiful patio. Great air conditioning for the summer heat. The host was very responsive. The kitchen was well stocked. Perfect for my family of six. Thanks so much!

Fantastic stay in Athens

This apartment is in a perfect location - close to all historical sites (some literally steps away), the Plaka and every good, cultural or historical experience you could want in Athens. The apartment itself and views are stunning - spacious, beautiful and well stocked. Thank you to Michael and his team for their hospitality! We will definitely be back.

Absolutely Stunning

Loved every second of this stay. Truly once in a lifetime suite surrounded by history and ruins. This is the most ideal spot to stay in Athens. Very safe and steps from picture perfect spots. We will never forget this stay.

Athens at its best

The photos don’t do the apartment justice. What a beautiful, comfortable place in the perfect location. Convenient to everything we wanted to see history-wise, yet wonderful shopping and dining across the street or a few paces up the road. Thank you for your quick responses to any inquiry that we had and especially for letting us check in early on our first day. That allowed us to get an early start on our Athens adventure. Also, thank you Manos for the snacks, breakfast starts, and all the extra treats that you had waiting, so that we didn’t have to immediately run out for groceries upon our arrival. What a thoughtful gesture for us travel wearied seniors. We would highly recommend Aerides Luxury Suites!
