Vackra Log Cabin på fjärr sjön, med begränsad Public Access.

Upplev ensamhet och skönheten i Boundary Waters med bekvämligheter i ett hem i denna nya timmerstuga på Winchester Lake.

Verkligen utanför nätet, erbjuder den här stugan en rustik upplevelse med bekvämligheten av kyl- och makt. Stugan är solcellsdriven med automatisk generator backup. Med ingen telefon eller internet, verkligen att du "komma bort" från teknik distraktioner. Stugan erbjuder ett sovrum på bottenvåningen, ett stort loft och två sovrum på lägre nivå. Loftet har två futon soffor som kan konvertera till sängar för ytterligare sova. Det finns en 3/4 bad på entréplan och ett badrum i den lägre nivån. Cabin erbjuder ett däck med gasgrill och sittplatser. Ta på kvällen naturens ljud som du varmt vid lägerelden och grilla en marshmallow eller två. Ved levereras.

På denna avlägsna Boundary Waters stil sjö vi i allmänhet befinner oss enda på sjön. Så att stora fiskeplats är alltid tillgänglig. Denna sjö är full av små mun bas, kan du knappt få din stolpe innan det finns en fisk på din linje. Under en fem års intervall DNR lagras denna djupa sjö med över 15.000 sjö öring. Andra fiskar inkluderar gädda, gös, abborre och Sunfish. Sjön erbjuder begränsade båt tillgång. En 14ft. fiskebåt med motor och en kanot ingår i hyran.

Uppe i norra skogen, vi regelbundet se örnar och lommar medan du njuter av sjön. På kvällen kan du höra dugg av en uggla eller en varg ylande på månen. Älg, rådjur, björn, bäver, och andra små critters hitta sina hem runt vår egendom.

Oavsett om ett par som vill komma tillbaka till naturen eller en familj som vill tillbringa kvalitetstid, är din tid på Winchester Lake säkert att bli minnesvärd.

The perfect week!

We had a fabulous week at Winchester Lake. Location was remote, on a quiet lake, just as described. Cabin is beautiful, well-appointed and clean. Excellent communication. Would love to make another trip back!

Off Grid Cabin

Excellent facilities. We had the entire lake to ourselves for two weeks. Fishing was awesome. Cabin was clean and very comfortable.The only issue is that the road to the cabin is an unmaintained forestry road which is very bumpy and lots of potholes.

We loved our stay in this exceptionally clean and well-appointed cabin. The woods and lake were beautiful. Great views of both sunrise and sunset from the dock — and a bonus view of the full moon from the welcoming backyard and fire pit. We had all our questions answered quickly before we left, and we found everything we needed to cook and make ourselves comfortable. My elderly parents had predicted they would be cold, but with both the wood and gas fire places lit, we all stayed plenty warm (and one night’s outdoor temps dipped into the 20’s.) We were glad to have vehicles that could easily manage the tooth-rattling entry road! Those last few miles (not to mention the cabin and its setting) reinforced our plan to stay put, slow down, and enjoy our surroundings all week.

The Perfect Secluded Getaway

We absolutely loved our trip! This was our second time and it won’t be the last. The property is quiet and secluded. We saw a lot of wildlife and had a couple deer right out front. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Another awesome trip to Winchester Lake

Peak fall colors, peak grouse hunting, and great fishing. We saw a moose, lots of eagles, lots of migrating swans, and plenty of other wildlife. The cabin and property were immaculate as always.

Peaceful

This is our third time back and every single time has been wonderful. The location is beautiful, the cabin has everything we need and the lake is peaceful. We love just hanging out at the cabin / lake all day and on rainy days, there is so much to do in the surrounding area. We always see so much wildlife too, including a mink crossing the road near the cabin this trip!

Don’t let the gravel road scare you

It’s worth the trip! The cabin is gorgeous and thoughtfully outfitted. Supplies are all included and dishes and pots and pans are good quality. When we arrived the place was spotless and the furniture comfortable. And the fishing was fantastic!

Another great October trip on Winchester Lake

Once again peak fall colors. We had our first frost at the beginning of the trip which really accelerated the color change. Hiked 4-5 miles every day grouse hunting with the dogs. Bounced around miles of trails in the side-by-side. Plenty of bonfires at sunset, it was warm most of our stay. We only fished off the dock not from the boat this trip. Cabin and property were immaculate as always!

Gorgeous Remote Property

Wow!! What a gorgeous remote property!! We absolutely LOVED it! The house was so nice and super clean! It had all the amenities you needed. Bedding was soft, beds were comfortable, beautiful view and property. We had a fire and fished almost every day. The paddle boat was super fun and the fishing was great. We were the only ones on the entire lake, like it was our own private lake! The owners were excellent and so great with communication and making sure we were taken care of. We highly recommend this place if you are looking to get away from everything, spend time in nature, and stay at a little piece of heaven. Thank you so much for sharing your property with us! We won't forget it :)

Another Awesome Winchester Adventure in October!

14-days total. Peak fall colors. Good grouse hunting, fishing, hiking, and exploring. Miles of logging and fire roads to explore on wheelers. As always the cabin is immaculate and constantly improving. We saw our first ever Great Horned Owl on this trip, up close, amazing 10 minutes of wonderment.

Best Place to Stay up North!

A perfect stay once again! This was our 5th time here. We do a lot of adventuring with our two boys and have used VRBO for many years. Dave’s cabin is absolutely our favorite place to stay. If you love nature and peace this is exactly where you want to be! Dave is very accommodating and wonderful to work with. We cherish our time with our boys on Winchester Lake. It truly is one of our favorite places on Earth! Cabin is stocked, plenty of life jackets, great swim platform, nice dock, perfect little fishing boat, and most importantly beautiful scenery everywhere you turn! The night sky is amazing as the cabin is quite close to Voyaguers National Park which is an internationally recognized dark sky park! Highly recommend!!

Cabin Stay

We had an excellent week at Dave’s cabin. The property was quiet and peaceful and the cabin was clean and very comfortable. Very well stocked with supplies. We enjoying using the boat on the lake where we saw no one else the entire week. Caught a lot of smallmouth bass and enjoyed the scenery on the peaceful lake. Would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone.

Relaxing Getaway

How to even start, this home was by far one of the most unique and beautiful homes that I have stayed in. There was so much detail provided into this house, and i love the location. You have lake front access, and absolute seclusion. If you’re looking for a getaway from the city life, this is the place. The still sound of nature and the starry nights are worth it. Not a lot of people appreciate the little things in life and I feel this home captured that essence. You have natural well water in the home and efficient appliances, and plenty of beds to sleep in. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, it will be an unforgettable experience.

Dave and Deb Lindroth purchased the land in fall of 2003 with plans of building a log cabin. Three kids and two dogs later, we decided our camper was too small and we were ready to build that log cabin. Cabin was built in 2011.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We enjoyed camping in the Boundary Waters every summer and found this location to give the Boundary Waters experience combined with some comforts of home. We wanted a cabin where we weren't looking into the neighbor's window. On our 40 acre plot, with 1300 ft shoreline we have found that.
