Chalet "Chante-Clarine '' är en modern lyx självhushåll stuga, i en fantastisk året runt inställning. Beläget nära La Barboleuse, strax utanför semesterorten Villars, är stugan egentligen bara 200 meter från närmaste pist som går ner direkt till linbanan stationen vid La Barboleuse byn. Det finns nu nya snökanoner allt för att säkerställa god snötäcke. Perfekt för vinter och sommar semesterbostad, med fantastisk skidåkning och promenader. Lakan och handdukar ingår och stugan är professionellt rengöras före och efter varje vistelse.

Beautiful chalet

As soon as everyone walked in to the chalet, we all felt immediately at home. You can tell it is used by the owners as it is very homely and brilliantly equipped. It was an ideal place for a three generational ski trip. Lots of room, stunning views. Easy access to slopes and a short drive to shops/telecabine. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Family walking trip in the Alps

We had a fantastic stay in Chalet Chante-Clarine! It was perfect for us and our grown up children. At one point there was 7 of us and the house still felt spacious and comfortable. Highly equiped kitchen, good TV, nice lawn, wonderful terrace, quiet comfortable bedrooms. The view was simply stunning, and the location quiet and peaceful, whilst still being within handy distance of the amenities of Barboleuse, with its great transport and fabulous patisserie. The surrounding area has breath taking scenery, beautiful lakes to swim in, and I cannot recommend the house or the area highly enough.

Spectacular location would highly recommend. The chalet had everything you would need for a comfortable stay and the owners were amazing with communication answering any queries.

Tolle Lage

Die Lage und Aussicht vom Sitzplatz und Balkon des Chalets ist grandios. Wir haben die Abende und den klaren Sternenhimmel genossen. Das Chalet ist sehr geräumig und mit den grossen Fenstern sehr hell. Der Kontakt mit Neil und Christoph vor Ort war prima. Wir hatten tolle Ferien!

Family Winter stay 2020

Beautiful chalet, stunning views. Great space for our troupe of 7. Chalet equipped with everything you could possibly want. 5 minutes drive to the gondola at Gryon and 5 minutes to Villars restaurants. Plenty of snow on the mountain. All in all a great stay.

Perfect peaceful mountain retreat

Everything about this chalet is pure perfection and I can highly recommend a stay here. We travelled as 3 families, of 8 in total, and had no issues at all with lack of space. In addition, all the amenities that you could wish for are included, so there is no need to worry about lack of utensils for your cooking. The views from the chalet are fantastically unobstructed, the only noise, interrupting the peace, is from the cow bells and still just a 20 minute walk from the local shops and restaurants. In our opinion, faultless.

très beau chalet avec confort et équipement impeccable de plus la vue est magnifique

je ne peux que regretter les 8 jours fantastiques passés avec ma famille à villars sur ollon au chalet chante clarine tout est fait pour le confort et le bien être de tous le site permet des ballades superbes dans un environnement bien préservé nous avons tous été conquis et nous attendons avec impatience une prochaine fois

Fantastic stay

We had a wonderful stay at Chalet Chanteclarine. Perfect location close to the slopes, beautiful view, super equipped and comfortable chalet. We will definitely come back! Highly recommended.

Swiss Dream

Definitely have fond memories of the Swiss Alps. It's a stunning new and modern chalet. Everything works really well and it's well thought out. The view is beathtaking and Christophe (local manager) is really helpful. It really is a dream chalet and location. Very peaceful and warming for the soul. The snow did arrive after we arrived which was wonderful. Superb bakery in La Barboleuse. Owner excellent to deal with.

Beautiful Chalet And Breathtaking Surroundings

We stayed at Chalet Chante Clarine for a summer break and simply could not recommend it more highly. We were were struck not only by the staggering beauty of the surroundings, but also by the supremely impressive quality of the chalet itself, with the highest level of detail having clearly been employed when designing and furnishing the accommodation. The quantity of bedrooms and - particularly - bathrooms, ensures that multiple families are able to stay without the slightest inconvenience, while the kitchen is so well-appointed it would really be a challenge to find oneself wanting for any appliance. Within easy reach there are excellent facilities, with ski lifts and railways providing access to all kinds of walks and outdoor activities, which make for very fun and activity-filled days, tired and happy children and tremendously satisfied adults. All in all, a wonderful stay.

Stunning chalet, stunning location

After a very busy time we wanted a holiday where we could relax and unwind and in Chalet Chante Clarinnes we found the perfect place. We arrived late and woke to a fresh fall of several inches of snow which was 'the icing on the cake'. The views from the chalet were wide ranging and beautiful, looking over the valley to the mountains beyond. The chalet itself was a home from home, very comfortably and thoughtfully kitted out with underfloor heating which kept us toasty throughout our stay. We walked from the chalet into the mountains, stopping for lunch at some of the lovely restaurants along the way and relaxed in the evening with a good meal and bottle of wine. A very positive experience all round. Just what we needed!

2 family holiday in February

We (2 families of 2 adults and 2 teenagers each) stayed in this beautiful chalet for a week in February 2013. The chalet is positioned up a winding road off the main road between Gryon and Villars, and the views, especially as the sun hits the mountains on the far side of the Rhone valley, are absolutely stunning. At the time we visited, there was thick snow but the road was always passable although 4 wheel drive or snow chains are a must. The chalet is well appointed with a double height living area on the "ground" floor and bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and we were easily able to feed 8 hungry people each night, sitting at the refectory table to eat then moving to the lounge area to watch satellite tv or DVDs or to play the board games that were provided, or to read one of the books that have been left. The skiing area is extensive, and we were able to reach a blue run within 5 minutes of putting our boots on in the garage. At the bottom of this run, there was another 5 minutes walk to the gondola that brings you up to the top, and from there, it was possible to link to the whole area of Villars and then Les Diablerets, although this was quite a ski safari, using 10 different lifts. For non-skiiers, apart from relaxing in the chalet, it was possible to sledge or to walk along paths in the snow. The only criticisms are that it seems to be virtually impossible to reach anywhere without a car (although there are taxis - but they charge Swiss prices) from the chalet unless you fancy a 20 minute walk. it's not great for apres-ski unless you walk up or leave your car in the car park at the bottom and you need to be up early to get a parking space at the car-parks in Villars! For the property itself, the mezzanine area that provides additional sleeping space (more than the beds for 8 downstairs) is great but anybody berthed there must wait for the lounge to clear before going to sleep and must be prepared to brave the stairs to get to a bathroom! Overall, this holiday worked well for us as a group of 8, with 6 keen skiers and 2 not-so-keen or non skiers. There was plenty of hot water, underfloor heating, a separate log stove, nice towels and lots of peace and quiet.

Excellent, cosy but spacious chalet

We stayed for a long weekend, 4 adults and 4 children, aged between 7 months and 2 and a half years. The chalet was exactly as described and was very warm and cosy, yet spacious and had everything we could need with demanding little ones in tow. We felt very at home and were very comfortable and with nearly a metre of snow outside it felt quite magical. The contact with the owners and onsite contact person was always very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend the chalet for others with children. We'll hopefully be back in Spring/summer some time soon. Jodie, James and family

Half Term 2012

What a fantastic Chalet. It is really hard to overstate the 5* quality of the Chalet and facilities. It was lovely and warm, and the log burner sat idle, & experience has shown that usually it's the only warm thing about some chalets! As for the skiing, we had fantastic snow (2 foot on Tuesday night / Wednesday), and fantastic spring conditions on the Friday. It is certainly a drive to the skiing Chalet, with two main Gondolas to chose from, La Barbeleruse and Villars offering plenty of parking and good access to the Blue runs and rest of the ski region. We used the 4 downstairs bedrooms to sleep 9 + Cot, the mezzanine was just used by the kids. All in all a lovely Chalet, with regular and helpful communication from the owner, who answered all our e-mails promptly and helpfully.

Great chalet for a skiing holiday

The chalet was wonderful to return to at the end of a day's skiing in the region, and was exactly as described on the website; very comfortable and spacious. With the late-afternoon sun falling on the balcony, this was a perfect place to have apres-ski cocktails, while admiring the view of the French peaks across the valley. In the early evening, the younger members of our party could enjoy watching a DVD on the home-cinema system, while several of the grown-ups checked their emails via the wi-fi broadband connection, and others enjoyed using the luxuriously equipped kitchen. Fresh bread and cakes from the breadmaking machine became firm favourites. Beautifully warm underfloor heating kept everything cosy, although it was convenient to use the attached garage as a cool beer store. Chalet Chante-Clarine certainly made an excellent skiing base, and we can imagine how nice it must be during the summer months. In fact, we have an idea to get three of our classic-car owning friends to join us in a convoy there, and use it as a base for exploring some of the mountain passes and the short trip to Mont Blanc.
