Family Beach Getaway Home på Delaware Shore
Holly Bush Cottage är ett klassiskt hem med en stor ombyggnad 2016. En fantastisk plats för familjer att tillbringa en vecka på stranden. Huset har fyra sovrum, två nyrenoverade badrum, ett komplett kök med matplats och en ny skärmad veranda (det är magiskt på sommarkvällarna). Det finns en utomhusdusch på bakdäck och en grill. Vardagsrummet har en stor platt-TV och huset har ultrahög hastighet internet (90+ mbps) med utmärkt WIFI.
Huset ligger på en lugn familjeorienterad gata precis utanför liv och rörelse i centrala Rehoboth och Dewey. Det är en snabb promenad till stranden (2. 5 kvarter) och till restauranger och andra attraktioner i Dewey Beach. Rehoboth och strandpromenaden är en kort cykeltur eller kör. De berömda Rehoboth Outlets ligger några minuter bort med bil på Coastal Highway.

We are third generation Holly Bush Cottage owners who live and work in the greater Washington DC area. We have two kids who, like their mother before them, have grown up going to this beach house.
Varför värden valde detta boende
Holly Bush Cottage was built in 1960 by Edward and Minna Russell. Edward and Minna moved from the England after WWII with their daughter Patricia. Edward worked as a printer for the Washington Post in DC and traveled every weekend to join Minna at this tranquil oasis. The house passed on to their daughter Patricia in 1992 and to their granddaughter Heather in 2012. Now Heather, her husband Allan and their two kids are the custodians of Edward and Minna's home.
In 2015 the house was picked up and moved ten feet to the right of the property. This freed up a lot which is now occupied by a new home. As part of the move there were significant upgrades including two new bathrooms, a new large screened in porch and deck on back (with a spacious outdoor shower).
Locals call the house's location, "the lost mile." It is located between Rehoboth and Dewey outside of the incorporated towns. Today it's a perfect mix of closeness to the action while enjoying a much quieter family friendly atmosphere thanks to this unique location between the beach towns.

Rehoboth and Dewey Beach have both been named one of the best beach towns in the United States by multiple sources. Holly Bush Cottage sleeps ten comfortably in four bedrooms. Two queen bedrooms, a two twin bedroom, and a four twin extended-room upstairs. There are two full bathrooms, one per floor, that were replaced in 2016 as part of a major remodel inside and out. There is lots of parking in front and a wonderful secluded screened-in porch in the back that is magical in the evenings.
The house is two and a half blocks from the beach (Chicago Street entrance if you are reserving a beach bonfire with Dewey Beach Surf Shop). We are a five minute walk to Dewey and a 15 minute walk to Rehoboth. While the house was originally built in 1960, it has been renovated and upgraded often for comfort, ease of living, and technology.
