Cozy 1-bedroom apartment in fabulous Madison with WiFi, AC, Smart TV

Located in historic downtown Madison, IN, the property is just one block from Main Street, and two blocks from the Ohio riverfront. You are 5 minutes to Clifty Falls State Park and 9 minutes from the Hospital and upper Madison area as well.

THE AREA
-This is an apartment located on a fairly busy street.
There will be road noise and everyday city noise.
-This is a 2 apartment home and does have a full time renter as well in the front apartment.
-Please keep these in mind when booking

THE SPACE
This apartment is part of a historical home built in 1891. The apartment has one full bathroom suite that also includes a kitchenette. The bedroom features a king size bed, as well as a futon. The bathroom features a tub/shower, sink, water closet, and washer & dryer units.

GUEST ACCESS
There is a small alley/sidewalk that leads from the street to the back of the home where the apartment is located. The door has an electronic lock with a code you will receive upon checking in.

Other things to note:
-The Laundry facilities are available to use, however we ask that you do not run any loads (must be finished and not running) after 9pm.
-This apartment is located within the busiest parts of the City. Please keep in mind that normal city sounds and parking will be present.
-We keep new ear plugs for anyone who may need to use them to block out everyday city noise while sleeping. You will find a new, unopened bag on the night stand.
-The TV is a smart TV, you can use screen cast to watch shows off of your own smart devices or use the “Peacock” or “Tubi” apps located on the “home” screen to watch free cable (news, tv shows, movies)
-Large downtown events will cause parking to be limited and you may need to walk to the listing from where you park. EV PARKING available at: 226 W Main St

Perfect location! We stayed when there were no big events going on, so it was relatively quiet since it's a block away from the noisier Main St. We could, however hear the renters in the main house walking around above us. It was a small kitchen/bathroom space, but was fine for us since we spent most of our time out and about. We liked that the mattress was a king, but it was rather soft, and the pillows could use an upgrade. The shower was very nice with great water pressure. We loved being able to walk to the river, and the many shops and restaurants on Main St.

Check-in was a breeze, and the host had excellent communication throughout our stay. The property was spotless, neat, and very well maintained. Everything was just as described, and it made for a stress-free, enjoyable trip. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay!

We could not have been happier with this cute little place. Wonderful location with easy walking access to both the riverfront and all Madison had to offer with shops and dining options. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Location, location, location! A great spot if you want to walk around Madison! Close to the river, restaurants, bars, trolley. Our only issue was the room was too warm for sleeping and no controls to change. Bed was good, cute little coffees, parking was good. We didn’t move outlets car at all, we walked everywhere.

Excellent stay

We loved our stay - the place was beautiful, clean, comfy and perfectly located for us to attend the Madison Regatta/Roostertail Music Festival. We were very impressed by the cleanliness and how nice the accommodations were. Check-in/out process was easy and we would definitely recommend this property and would stay again. Thank you!

Relaxation

Our stay was such a relaxing and joyful time. The location was perfect for walking to anything! We explored and ate food and enjoyed the river all on foot! We drove 5 minutes away to the stat park for hiking and exploration. We’ll be back!

Very nice, up to date space. Very clean. Within walking distance to restaurants/shops. Only downfall no closet or dressers to put clothes on hangers or away.

We are from NorthWest Indiana. We have a daughter who lives in Madison and visit frequently. She helps run the VRBO and it allows us to visit our family as well. We love being able to have a place for guests to visit in the interim, and enjoy hosting.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This is part of the historical district of Downtown Madison. It is a traditional “shotgun” house and has so much character to it. It has you in the middle of all Madison has to offer as well.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We are a short walk to the riverfront and to Main Street. All restaurants, parks, sit seeing and more will be a short walk away in Downtown Madison.
