Great house with beautiful views!

We had a great stay at this property! Beautiful ocean views and spacious rooms - we saw deer walking along the beach one night! We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home

Beautiful location. House was roomy and well equipped for our family. Quiet neighborhood, great vicinity to the pool, quick walk to the beach. Disappointed the hot tub/spa was closed all week. Also, the front steps/walkway was overrun with mosquitos, which made entry/exit tricky with the children.

Great house but needs new mattresses

Only drawback is that mattresses on both queen beds are badly in need of replacement. Otherwise, I highly recommend the house.

There was not alot of towels .The floors in the whole house needs cleaning or replaced.Overall the place needs to be updated.

Family vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th family vacation with Island Realty and our first stay in Ocean Point 40. We were very disappointed in the property compared to others we've visited previously. The furnishings and flooring are very worn. No garage door opener. Overall this home is in need of updates.

Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I think this s the fourth year we have stayed at this house usually for a 's a wonderful location. Close to the beach and pool. There's noway to beat the view.After four years ,I can see that the place is not being kept up. The decorations are dull. There was an 6 inch hole in the carpet under the dining table. The house sleeps 8,yet there are only 6 teaspoons,two cereal bowls and no salad bowls.There are thirty forks.soeone has to outfit the kitchen.That said,we love the place and are planning to return next year. I just wish these problems will be addressed to make the house more comfortable to stay

Great House-Excellent wedding!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House fulfilled all our needs for 3 day week-end. Wife/myself, 3 adult children, 6 grand children (18mos to 13 yrs old). Beautiful view. Great location/layout/condition. Unfortunately we didn't have enough free time to use pool or beach as much as we would have liked. We had 3 cars,put two in garage,and with 3rd in driveway you may have to do some jockeying in and out. Went on Chas. carriage ride, drinks at night on King St, Ft.Sumter cruise, wedding up near airport. All traffic/distances 30-40 mins) comfortable drive. (Being from No Va/Washington DC area traffic could never be a problem!!!) Only house issue was that never came out to fix ice dispenser. Ice maker did work. Looked at about 15-20 other properties and think we made the best choice here.

Good House,Good Value, Great Location!

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this house. We loved the proximity to the pool and ocean access. The house was good. Somewhat outdated kitchen and bathrooms, but yet they were all good and clean. The house was clean, good linens, and kitchen was well equipped but not as well organized as it could be. We found silverware in one drawer and for multiple days we thought we only had 4 forks and two tea spoons, but later found another drawer that was full of utensils. The owner should have door locks fixed that don't work properly.

Gorgeous, perfectly placed beach home!

Old and in bad need of remodel

Old stove, microwave that shorts out, major stains on the floor, worn out couch and chair with pillows losing feathers. For the rental rate needs to be fixed up.

Carpets are badly stained, wood floor in kitchen black in places from water damage. All the furniture is worn and some permanently stained. Linens are mismatched, comforter doesn’t match dust ruffle, scratchy sheets. Needs upgrades desperately...

Needs updates

Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a great vacation, but were disappointed with the house. We have used Island Realty for years and have generally had good experiences. Unfortunately, we found this house to be run down and unclean in our opinion. When we checked in, there were visible hairs and other ‘matter’ in the bathrooms. The house has an amazing location, but really could use a facelift when it comes to the furniture and maintenance. The furniture was very worn and dated. Even the paint on the outdoor furniture was all peeling off and didn’t look inviting. The decks had rust stains all over them and some places had nail heads sticking up. We were looking forward to the screened in porch, but one part of the screen was falling down so it defeated the purpose. The hedges off that porch could also use a trim for a better view of the ocean. The master bedroom did not even have a comforter on it! We really enjoyed the location but would look elsewhere for a house that is more updated in the future. Not sure that we would use island realty again due to the cleaning issue. I understand all of the maintenance and updating is not probably their fault though. Disappointing because this house has SO much potential!

The house was in a good location and we enjoyed the beach, the pool, and riding bikes to the tennis courts. The house wasn't as clean as we'd have expected, and is due for some updating in the bathrooms and the furniture.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was great! Great location, great house! The only issue we had was ants. A bunch of them. We kept everything clean and trash taken out so not sure why they kept appearing. They got in our food and we had to throw it out and go get more groceries. Once I saw that, I then put the new groceries in the fridge or on the kitchen bar area.
