Island get away

Very nice for 2 folks, good view of ocean, easy access to beach. 3rd floor steps were a bit of a challenge but manageable. Would like to have a footstool when sitting on th sofa.

Great view of the ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 3rd floor condo was quite and comfortable. A great view of the ocean and you could hear the waves sitting on the balcony. Sofa, bed and chairs were comfortable and the kitchen had all you needed. It was close to a number of restaurants as well as stores. Island Realty were great with good communication. Especially nice was a private pier to enjoy the ocean.

Quick Get-a-way!

We had to leave drinks inside because the smell stuck to everything. We did notified front office. We kept the refrigerator door closed the rest of our stay, but even then you could still smell it some.

Great views and location, not so great building.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and views of the beach and ocean are awesome. Unfortunately, this unit and the Sea Cabin building overall are showing their age and use. The refrigerator and freezer smelled so bad, we were afraid to put anything in it. Two of the three chairs on the balcony were ripped, one had a large hole in it. For the $400+/night we paid, we expect a much nicer place to stay. We'll visit the Charleston area again, but won't be staying here again.

Old broken property with bed bugs

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I don't recommend this property for following experience:1. Broke bathroom door lock - which they fixed during my stay2. Dishwasher was broken - which needs replacement, they could not fix.3. Bed bugs which made me and my daughter to suffer with itches. Worst part is my daughter had one eye swollen for 3-4days.

Sea Cabins

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Be prepared to climb many steps to get to this unit. Remember there is no elevator.Compared to other Sea Cabin units we have stayed in, this one was okay. The AC unit was loud and blew right on the couch. The bedroom is tight. We did have bugs in our unit. Maintenance came and put a few traps out. In fairness to them, I asked them not to spray because I am very sensitive to some odors.We've stayed in Sea Cabins before and always say never again. This time I think we will remember to upgrade to a nicer unit elsewhere.PS the view was lovely.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this vacation for our honeymoon. Everything from lock box check in to check out was very simple and easy. We loved the sea cabin. Stove was a little finicky but worth getting used to in order to save money on take out. My only complaint would be the pier. There were a lot of people accessing it that weren’t staying there. Although we did NOT allow it, we were asked numerous times to be let in. It was harassing but I don’t know how that could be stopped. Other than that, we highly recommend!

Great stay, views and location

Housekeeping and maintenance

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place has gone downhill since our last stay. Our condo was not clean! So much dust on the ceiling fan it was hanging off. Sandy floors when we arrived. Also maintenance is not up to the old standards. The steps to the condo use to be clean now they are black and moldy. Love to stay here and liked the condo we stayed in but improvements need to be made.

Stay in 332C Cabin

Hurricane Ian was coming and Island Realty didn't offer a whole lot of information on what we should or shouldn't do. This was our first hurricane experience so we had no idea what to expect or how to prepare. I asked several questions and got general answers that didn't really help with our decision to stay or leave. That decision was ultimately based off other people staying close by. Other than that we had a great stay and can't wait to return!!

Good experience

The stove so small that any normal size pan will not fit on any of the burners so in order for the food to be completely cooked we had issues with some of the item burning.

Loved the unit but contracted maintenance company was an issue

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Walking distance to grocery store, several restaurants. This unit was better equipped with kitchen ware and comfortable seating options than most. Two rack small oven, toaster, microwave. No hair dryer. It was quiet and very clean with a better view than other units as it was an end unit. Plenty of towels and linens provided. We would return if maintenance issues were handled. Upon arrival, lightbulbs were out in the bedroom the screen door was ripped and off the track (a wheel was missing so it could not be put back on the track) and the main sliding door would not close all of the way. We arrived on a Sunday. The property management sent light bulbs the next day. ( We felt that housekeeping should check those things before arrivals). But the screen door was not attended to until two days later and could not be fixed. So the door was removed, left on our porch and went "flying" when the wind came up. The next day someone came to remove the screen door from the porch and attend to the main glass door. He said it could not be fixed after working with it and a new door would be ordered but it would not fixed until the next week after our departure. After leaving, when we opened the heavy door, it fell out onto my husband on the deck. He strained his back with the weight before he was able to get it onto the track. That was dangerous and we were lucky that one of our grandkids hadn't opened that door. A different maintenance company was promptly sent by the management company and it was fixed. Pool was so dirty that our grandkids wouldn't swim in it, but that seemed likely due to heavy use by others, lots of sand on the beach blowing,and maintenance couldn't keep up with it. But the ocean was awesome, safe with a long sandbar and also several miles to walk along. There is a little kids public playground on the next property to the north, which is a county park. That also has life guards but is more crowded than the beach in front of the condo.
