Three-A Hideaway less than 5 miles from Holmes Bend Marina.

This two bedroom, two bath home is the perfect place to rest and recover. Enjoy watching the animals of the neighboring farm, listening to the beautiful birdsong, and taking in the expanse of lush trees and verdant fields from either the indoor living area or one of the two porches. Our very quiet road is perfect for strolling and listening to the sounds of birds and nature, or if you desire some exercise it makes a great ~1/2 mile jog from end to end!

Coming up the drive you will see the main residence. The Hideaway is tucked directly behind the main residence at the end of the drive. The Hideaway includes access to the left side garage bay. A garage clicker will be available for the duration of your stay. Guests are asked not to block the two garage bays (on the right) and leave room for our family to pull our vehicles in and out. A locked door separates the Hideaway garage bay from the main garage bays.

The hideaway has two bedrooms and two full baths. The master bedroom has a full size bed and features dual dressers within the large mirror-front closet. The closet holds an ironing board and iron, extra leaves for the dining table, and extra blankets and pillows. Black-out curtains and wooden blinds will block sunlight if you desire to sleep in! An en-suite bath has a tub/shower combo, with towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner included. Hand soap is on the vanity, as is a toothbrush holder and jewelry tray. The toilet shelving holds a hand mirror and extra rolls of toilet tissue. Both the en-suite and the guest bath have medicine cabinet mirrors.

The second bedroom has two twin beds and a trundle bed. Extra bedding for the trundle is found in the room’s dresser. This room also has black-out curtains with mini-blinds. A smart tv with a fire tv is atop the dresser; a dvd player can be found within. A selection of family friendly dvds is included in the hallway curio cabinet, as well as children’s toys and coloring books, games, and playing cards.

The second bathroom has a shower with stability bar (a shower seat can be found in the guest closet.) Towels, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided. Extra rolls can be found under the vanity. The stacked washing machine and dryer are in this bathroom.

The full kitchen includes a stove/oven combo, fridge with ice/water dispenser, microwave, dishwasher, air fryer, toaster, and coffee maker(s). All the standard kitchen cookware, dishes, flatware and utensils are included. The dining table is currently set up for three; with the extra leaves added (stored in the master bedroom closet) six can sit comfortably. A high chair can be found in the guest closet.

WiFi available throughout. The living room area includes a full couch and three leather recliners. There is a fire tv in this room. Guests will need to sign in to their own Amazon account or bring their own streaming device. Because of family animal allergies and asthma we do not allow any animals (including service animals) to stay at the Hideaway. We take this step entirely out of concern for our own loved ones’ health and mean no disrespect or insult to anyone.

Outside there is a small propane grill, with seating for four on both front and side porches. The front porch is covered and has a ceiling fan. There is ample space for parking as well as a large yard to play kickball, toss a frisbee or a football, blow bubbles or catch lightning bugs! Wandering through the front or back woods of the main property is absolutely fine, but please take standard precautions against critters and poison ivy.

There are three sets of golf clubs in the garage. They are quite dusty (I don’t golf!) but feel free to try them out if you want to hit the greens at the local Pinewood Golf Club. Children’s toys and sidewalk chalk are usually found in the garage. Guests are welcome to use those, as well.

The playground within the main residence backyard is available, but know we have two dogs (a black lab and a small mixed-breed.) They are absolutely non-violent but they may bark at strangers.
