We enjoyed our stay! The location is great - directly on the water and only a couple of minutes from the sleepy town of Island Pond. The latter has a number of restaurants and a small grocery store. It is definitely a "cottage", closer to neighbors than pics indicate, and with the lower level being a bit musty and only one bathroom, so I would not recommend filling this cottage to the max. But for our family of four, it was a perfect size and the location can't be beat. The deck, where we ate all of our grilled meals, has a beautiful view of the lake. We brought kayaks, which we launched from the shore every day. There is a wonderful metal dock, which was great for loon watching, but could nicely accommodate a larger boat, and the lake has a public boat launch at the southern end. Straight across the lake were some nice sandy beaches on the island and the opposite shore, which were great for swimming. We stayed in July, and at that time of year, the lake is very busy on the weekends, but was wonderfully quiet during the week. The host, Jason, was very responsive to my texts, whenever I had any questions prior to, or during, our visit, although cell service at the cottage is not great. I often only got cell service (via T-mobile) when I was in the middle of the lake, or in certain places in town.
