Great House & Host!

Very accommodating host and responsive to offer support. Although there were some small hiccups, host remedied quickly so we could carry on with a great stay! Our kids played on all the machines the entire stay without getting bored - hard to say that frequently for teenagers sometimes! There were numerous small amenities that helped push it overboard (like chargers /cords, plenty of TP and Paper products,and many other things. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

My name is Darin and I live in Denver Colorado. I’m a general contractor. And have been going to Lake McConaughey for almost 25 years. My family and I camped advanced campground for more than a decade before. We finally decided that we love the lake so much that we wanted to buy property and build our own home. I built and completed this home in December of ‘22 and it is our new home away from our own home. I wish that we could live there full-time, but since we can’t, we would hate for a beautiful place to go to waste and decided to share it. We hope you enjoy!

We love the location! A 180° view of the lake and access to it from our backyard. The home is located at Bayside golf where the golf club is on property. We’re a short seven minute drive from vans campground where they have a small general store for most essentials and boat launching capabilities. Our home is located on the south central part of the lake where it is very quiet and it feels as though when you’re on the lake, you have all of it to yourself. The house is located in fairly new development, so there are a few homes around us, which gives you a sense of real privacy. It’s a beautiful location to watch the sunrise and set in the summertime and if you don’t mind wildlife, there’s plenty of it.
