Cañon City property was a great find. The 3 days we stayed were exceptionally hot. The swamp cooler did the best it could but by mid afternoon it was becoming overwhelmed. Comfortable once sun went down. We all slept well. House clean and well equipped. Host very responsive.

This is a wonderful home with a yard that has a desert feeling. If you find this property available, book it and you will be very pleased. The location is great for the Royal Gorge and other attractions in this area. Well maintained and has all the amenities, we really enjoyed the home. The owners are great and easy to work with. We had multiple deer and 2 fawns in the yard each day, they slept in the yard most nights.Hummingbirds, and quail, it was a pleasure staying here. Highly recommended. Exceptional property!

We arrived to a very nice clean home exactly as pictured. Very clear instructions were placed throughout the house and in a book about how to properly cool and heat the home among other things. Thank you! Just close enough to Canyon city to pick up something to eat but far enough to feel like you got away. Lots of wildlife around the house was a bonus!Thank you for the portable AC unit and fans. The swamp cooler is perfect for those warm days, but we went during a heat wave. Nice assortment of fun games to play and we polished up our pool skills while visiting. Very cool. Thank you for a wonderful weekend in your cozy comfy home.

Everything was avaliable and easy to find. Really loved the location of the house in an area you could see some beautiful views. The neighborhood was very quiet with lots of friendly people walking thier dogs. Loved seeing all the wildlife. Great place for a small or larger group. The host was very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Very accessible and accommodating host!

This home was clean, roomy, and in such a convenient location! Even though Monica was on vacation she was very easy to get in touch with. She kindly allowed us to extend our checkout time which gave us more time to spend with our family before heading to the airport.

Most well appointed kitchen I have ever rented. Perfect place for our family to gather and be together. More spacious than it looks from the outside. Beautiful view of theountains!

The best place to stay.

Our trip was espectacular. We had the best time ever. The house was amazing, we had a beautiful view and we were blessed to see wild animals. The house is situated minutes away from the main attractions and downtown. FYI the sun starts sunrising early and the businesses downtown close early by 6pm.

Diamond in the rough

We were not used of the sparse vegetation & felt that more attention could have gone into the outside appearance. Otherwise, the property met all of our needs & we enjoyed our stay.

Our overall impression was good. The deer in the yard was a welcome sight along with the quail. The location is away from the busyness of town but the commute to the restaurants and grocery stores is just 5-10 minutes away. Communication with Mona was excellent.There were a few items that would make for a better stay: working ice maker and water dispenser (ice trays are provided but we bought bags of ice), kleenex in the bathrooms, tv's in the bedrooms.

We loved our stay at this Canon City Vacation Home! We chose it because it was very close to the family that we were visiting - its location was perfect! It's in a great neighborhood just a very short drive from the downtown area, grocery stores and shops. The house itself was spacious, very comfortable and clean. My husband and teen children enjoyed playing games of pool. The kitchen and rest of the house was well supplied with anything we needed - kitchen utensils, hair dryers, shampoo, soap, laundry needs, etc. There was a nice grill and outdoor dining area that we, unfortunately, didn't have time to use. Arrival and departure processes were easy and all went smoothly. The manager/host, Mona, is very kind and helpful with quick responses to our questions. Canon City is a great little town and we enjoyed our hike on the Tunnel Trail and our day trips from there to Colorado Springs and the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Overall - we had a wonderful experience and hope that when we visit our Colorado family again, that this house is available. We will definitely be back!

Very nice house it was perfect for the weekend. Friday was a little hot and hard to get cooled down but eventually did. For the amount of time we were there it was perfect. Very convenient location for both the wedding and reception.

Very spacious

This house was very spacious, more so than the pictures imply. Very nice neighborhood. Deer (adults and children) were a great plus...so fun to watch every morning. Would definitely stay here again.
