The house accommodated our family well. I was glad I brought my own cooking pots and pans for those provided were pretty rough at the end of the season. The weather our week was very windy and rainy no fault of the house or owners. Also lost power for several hours one of our mornings but there was ample information on the area website and power was restored in a timely fashion. We used the backyard to launch our kayaks and that was wonderful. Had a few complaints about the mattresses in the bunk room adults were staying in but again end of the season. Overall all the house worked well for three families to cook, barbecue, eat, and enjoy the pool and playground. Lots of things to do including the Botanical Gardens and the Aquarium.

Thank you for such an absolutely beautiful home for our vacation! Our grandchildren had the best time and REALLY loved the pool. Our experience was exceptional! Communication was prompt, clear, and friendly. I highly recommend this realtor. Thank you for helping us make such wonderful memories.

Pretty good overall for the price, not perfect. House was clean and in good shape. The garage and pool were a bit of a mess though. I ended up cleaning the pool myself so my kids could swim in it. The pool was large and had plenty of room to play, but the deeper part is very small if you like that. The walk to the beach is manageable if you are in decent shape and not carrying much. It’s tough if you have kids or elderly with you. One thing that did disappoint us: no smart TVs. I guess I assumed that was a given in 2026. Could use an upgrade there. Overall, my family enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others looking for a budget-friendly option.

Thanks so much Jesse! We appreciate your feedback and we are working with the owner on post season upgrades so your feedback is critical! I know there are a lot of trees in the backyard and I apologized if there was residual debris in the pool. The vendors are typically there weather permitting, on Saturdays and then Tuesday or Wednesday. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out- we are always happy to send a vendor over to take care of your requests!!!

Overall it was great, plenty of room. A few issues, the pool was never really clean, if the pool guy came it looked no different. The dishwasher did not work, it ran but did not clean. Not all bathrooms had toilet paper. We also felt the dishes were adequate sizes, no real bowls and the coffee cups were tiny, mugs found way up high. The outside shower was nonexistent . It was a faucet and the other faucet was broken.

Memorial Day weekend trip

The house was absolutely beautiful, the different levels to the property was amazing, everything was very clean. We absolutely loved the location as well, we were very close to the beach. The only hiccup we had was getting ahold of someone for the code to get in. We were about 6 hours away from the house so this information should have been given to us that morning, but we were able to get in and got a call from the host about 2 hours later. Other than that small set back we absolutely enjoyed our weekend in this home. I would absolutely come back and recommend this to home to anyone looking to stay in VA. Thank you for opening your home to us.
