Lake House med badtunna - privat! Ligger på Islands gyllene cirkel.

Detta charmiga eleganta 85 kvadratmeter stora sjöhus ligger i ett av de vackraste och mest populära områdena på Island, och har en hisnande fantastisk utsikt över Alftavatnsjön (Swan Lake) och är mycket bra beläget för nordlig ljusblick från vår badtunna!

Sjöhuset har en hisnande fantastisk utsikt över Alftavatnsjön (svansjön) och den majestätiska Ingolfsjall (Ingolfs berg - uppkallad efter Islands första bosättare). Bekvämt och med allt du behöver, är huset också bekvämt beläget mycket nära de flesta av South Coasts största spännande turistattraktioner inklusive Gyllene cirkeln, Gullfoss, Geysir och många vackra ridvägar och golfbanor. Också, mycket bra beläget för norrljusspotting, kan du njuta av många en kväll som sitter i badtunnan och tittar på norrskenet dansar ovanför dig.

Great location for visiting Golden Circle

We enjoyed our stay at this very private lake house. The view was amazing. Great home base for exploring the Golden Circle and surrounding areas.

Great little home with a fantastic view

The home was great, well suited for me and my husband, our two teens and their friends. Hottub was great to use, over looking the lake. Cleaning was 1.5 hours past check in so we had to leave and come back, but it gave us an opportunity to get groceries. Host wasn’t easy to get ahold of, but was very pleasant and willing to assist where needed. Overall very much enjoyed our stay here, location was perfect for everything we wanted to do.

Great spot just off the Golden Circle

This house was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of room for everyone. Great amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, enough towels for everyone and a hot tub! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful Stay

This was our 4th trip to Iceland but the first with our two girls. Our host was fantastic and the accommodations were perfect. The view is one of a kind and breathtaking. A great location that is central to explore much of southern Iceland. Would highly recommend :)

Fab family getaway

Such a great base for exploring Iceland - we went in a different direction every day. Having Selfoss so close was very handy, the food hall and ice cream parlour are worth a visit. Coming back to the cosy, well equipped lodge and the hot tub was bliss after a long (and cold!) day of exploring.

Amazing Stay

This was an amazing place to stay! We loved all the little extras like robes for the hot tub, Nespresso machine, and hot chocolate. The place felt so cozy and had a country cottage feel. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights for about 2 hours one of our nights. We highly recommended this property, you won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful rural location

Wonderful little lake house in the country! Cozy and scenic. Kitchen is well-appointed. There's little out here but it's close to Selfoss for restaurants & stores. Owner was very helpful and check-in was easy. Definitely would recommend!

Northern Light Stay

We booked in August of 2024 with the hope of seeing the Northern Lights. On the first night we weren't disappointed, amazing view and with the snow covered mountains and remarkable experience.

Perfect, magical stay

An absolutely stunning property with a fabulous view. Located very privately but still only 10 mins drive from Selfoss. The views, hot tub, size of the property and amenities were perfect. Instructions and communication from the host were very clear. We all had a magical time and would love to come back again one day.

Terrific location!

Wonderful well equipped lake house. Fantastic views. When visiting Iceland there is a lot of driving involved and this location is spot on for getting around. Would definitely book again.

Amazing Experience

We had such a wonderful stay. The accommodation was excellent and very well furnished and stocked. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The hot tub and views were just amazing. We were very lucky and managed to see the Northern lights three times during our stay and they were visible from the property. The Kerid Crater is a short drive away and free parking so is another good spot to view the lights. Enjoying the hot tub whilst watching the lights is an experience we will never forget. Geysir would have to be a highlight and we also visited four spectacular waterfalls and the black sand beach at Reynisfjara. I really wished we could stay longer!

Wonderful stay

We loved this home. It was our best stay while in Iceland. The house was a perfect size for our family of 4. The master was spacious and the comforter/ linens were nice. We enjoyed the hot tub. The best luxury extras were the clean robes for use. We would highly recommend. It is a little off the beaten path but convenient to all the attractions in the area.

Amazing location

Wonderful location with a drop dead view. Host was super and accommodated changes we needed to make. Home was considerately stocked with esstentials such as coffee/ tea and spices. Loved the bathrobes and home is tastefully decorated. We truly enjoyed every minute and couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing home base for our iceland adventures.

Awesome views and location

We had a great time at Emma's cabin!! Everything was clean and well stocked. The views from everywhere were terrific. Living room/Deck/Hot tub all overlooking the lake and mountains. Great central but private location! !5 minutes to town with many restaurants (Loved Krisp) Easy to Golden Circle (Bruarfoss falls followed by Efstidalur dairy next door is a must) / 1/2 hour to the trail for geothermal river which was a great hike.

A hidden gem

I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful this property is! We were very lucky to call this a homebase when the entire country was shut down due to the record breaking snowstorm. We are from Minnesota and have always dreamed of getting snowed in while on vacation! These gracious hosts reached out and offered to coordinate a plow so we could continue our many planned adventures in this winter wonderland. Other guests weren’t lying when they commented on viewing the northern lights from the hot tub. Breathtaking!

Best view from a hot tub you can get!

Fantastic place to stay to explore the golden circle. The house has stunning views from the back deck and hot tub - which was so nice to use during our stay. We were in the hot tub every evening to relax after a day of exploring the area. The same views can be seen from the kitchen and living room inside - which are just stunning! The house was super private, and had woods and greenery all around, and was so peaceful. We cooked every day, and found everything we needed to make great meals, and having a dishwasher is a plus (mandatory for us). The host was great at communciation, and the house was super clean when we arrived, and had towels and robes for the hot tub - which was a nice touch. In addition there is a fancy coffee machine, so had great coffee each morning. The beds are really comfy, and the bedrooms had dark shades to help with sleeping while light outside. Overall great stay!

Loved it!

This property was the perfect place for us to explore Iceland for the first time. We took day trips to Reykjavik, Vik, Hveragerdi, and Golden Circle. The view of the lake and mountain were wonderful and since we were there during mid June, the majestic mountain was there each evening and morning! The house was perfect for our needs, and Emma thought of everything to provide, right down to facial pads and q-tips. The espresso machine took a bit of a learning curve. The manual had instructions in 4+ languages, but none of them were English. We Googled a YouTube video that got us going, though. The hot tub was a welcomed place to relax after days of horse back riding, ATV'ing and hiking. Thank you, Emma, for making our Iceland vacation such a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Lake House

This little house had a spectacular view and was in a perfect location on the Golden Circle. It was central to almost everything we wanted to do. The house itself was lovely and very cozy. It had everything you could need for a nice stay. The only complaint we had is that the third bedroom wasn’t actually a bedroom. This was misleading. The third bedroom with the bunk beds was a hall or closet that you have to walk through to get to the first bedroom. This was quite inconvenient for us as we don’t want to walk through each other’s bedrooms to go to bed at night and as the third bedroom was only the size of a small hall there really enough space in the area. This bedroom also didn’t have a door but rather a curtain to separate it from the main house. I don’t really think this house should be listed as a three bedroom as the bunk beds aren’t in a real room they are in a curtained hall. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay here a lot and the owner was very thoughtful. I would recommend this house for families that are close and don’t mind walking through and being in each other’s sleeping spaces.

Peaceful Escape in a Great Spot

Beautiful lake house with amazing views. We enjoyed our stay so much. The hot tub took us a minute to figure out, but other than that, everything was easy and comfortable. We would definitely recommend it.
