This is a lovely, comfortable place that was convenient to restaurants and an easy drive to downtown Boston. The kitchen was fully stocked and beds were comfy!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us for our visit and our plans. The kitchen was well stocked, although we did not cook meals while we were there. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable for relaxing at the end of the day and for a good night's sleep. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Host was responsive and kind. Rules were clear and stated, and host was definitely very prepared for many kinds of guests. Kitchen was well-stocked. Some confusion regarding check-in process and evidence of previous guests, but otherwise smooth.

The accommodations were nice for a quick weekend trip to Boston. We were close to the commuter train station which allowed us to go into Boston with no problems. One night, we took the orange line and a bus. While it took longer than the commuter rail, it was still an option.The accommodations appeared lived in and had many things (plates, silverware, storage bags, etc) available. We would recommend it.

The property was maintained very well and accommodations were comfortable. The only reason we gave four stars in place of five stars was because the family above had a little child constantly running around on the wood floors which was disturbing. It even rattled the crystal in the dining room. The toilets in both bathrooms were extremely low which made it difficult to use due to some hip issues that I have, grab bars would be helpful. Other than these two issues, it was very nice.

Thank you for sharing. I wasn’t aware there were any special needs as the toilets are standard size. Also, I will let the tenants know to be more mindful of noise in the future. Had you let me know, I would have let them know to be more quiet. Apologize for this inconvenience. Glad you enjoyed your stay and Boston!

Graduation Weekend

We enjoyed our stay. The house was fully stocked, clean, and very comfortable. It is a great place to stay with family. Easy to get to and close to everything. Parking was an added bonus. Will stay again. Thanks!

This property was perfect for my family to stay at for a wedding in the area. Having 2 bathrooms was key for us. I loved the charm of the Victorian and the details Barbara put into decorating to make it a period home. The kitchen was the most well-stocked kitchen I have ever had in a short-term rental property! We all giggled when I opened a drawer and found it full of spices after already finding spices in a cabinet. You could honestly feed 10 people all weekend and have dishes and glasses to spare. My one critique would be the stairs into the house are a bit awkward when you are carrying luggage or things because there is no landing when you open the screen door- just something to think about if you have anyone with mobility issues.

Great Victorian House in Hyde Park

We absolutely loved this place and our host. Our daughter lives in Quincy and we wanted a place that was relatively close (although, with any travel in Boston, "close" is relative). Barbara was responsive, thorough and totally made us feel at home. The kitchen is as stocked as you could want (meaning anything we looked for was there and then some) and the large table let us eat on one end and keep a puzzle going on the other!The house itself is very comfortable, parking is easy and off the street, and Hyde Park itself is interesting and walkable. As long as our daughter is in Boston, we'll be looking to stay here. If a place can "feel right", this one felt right for us.

Great house in a nice location. Very well situated close to the train station. The house is very well stocked with everything you'll need. Excellent host who was very accommodating on entry and leaving times and great for info on local amenities

Stijlvol, comfortabel en gastvrij

Smaakvol ingericht huis met goede bedden en douche. Goed uitgeruste keuken: we konden gebruik maken van koffie, thee en het eten en drinken in de koelkast. We hadden een probleem met het slot op de badkamer. Dit werd supersnel opgelost. De cmmunicatie met Barbara ging perfect.
