Family vacation 2025

Great property, minutes walk to Waikiki beach and short walk to International Market. Property is clean and comfortable for a family of 4. Definitely stay here again.

Vacation home at Aston Waikiki Sunset

The vacation home is located close to everything and has a beautiful view of the Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The views were amazing for this property. Beds and pillows could do with replacing but overall it was a lovely stay for very reasonable cost.

Great locaton

Very good appartment with stunning view. Building is not new, but its fine. One block from the beach wifh baby lagoon and waves if you wish. Lots of stores, cafe and restaurants around parking is free!

Family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location with good view. There is no diswasher in the unit. Coffee stain on 2 white mugs. Not sure if those were washed properly so we washed all of the plates, mugs utensils before 1st use. Check in and check out is fast. 2 beach towels only so bring your own.

Rather Dissapointed

My husband and I spent two weeks at this condo in late October till mid November. This is the fourth year we have stayed the Waikiki Sunset in a row and the first time using VRBO. The hotel is comfortable but by no means more than a three star. This suite is everything that we read needs a makeover for sure. Very disappointed in that there was even holes in the sheets. I am hoping the owner fix the following things. Provides better linens/get rid of the tacky rusted bench on the patio. No Need for three rice cookers or two toilet brushes and please do something about the front of the fridge it is disgusting, don't get me wrong the suite has a fabulous view but if the above was fixed would be much more memorable.

Wonderful Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was wonderful and was everything that we needed for our vacation! The view was amazing every morning. We love to sit on the balcony as well as throughout the day and evening. A full kitchen, well stocked, a good sized bedroom with enough sleeping space and very comfortable beds! Also whoever is doing the cleaning does an amazing job. We would recommend this for others and we will stay here again in the future hopefully!

Good choice

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment has some dated elements but it is only minor shortcoming compared to the array of positives. The view from the windows and large balcony is amazing, the height (26th floor) makes it quiet as for the location, the space is adequate for 1-2 weeks of stay for a family, the apartment is well equipped. The internet connection was good and allowed for video TC. The apartment was clean and the Kaina Hale team was fast in responding to inquiries and when technical help was needed. The customer service was as you would expect, nice and effective. The beds were comfortable. The apartment comes with free parking space (6 feet clearance), and we never had a problem with finding a spot. The pool was sufficient for recreational use and for kids and the water (in January) was sufficiently warm. The location really allows you to walk to the beach in 3-5 minutes. There are also ABC stores nearby, bus stops, etc.. The surroundings seemed safe even late in the evening. Concluding if you accept that it is not a 500 USD/night hotel, you will be very pleased with your stay, especially if you like to cook from time to time for yourself, or want to have a living room (where there is an extra sofa bed as well by the way).

Nice View, Simple Place

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was good, diamond head end of Waikiki and well off noisy Kuhio Ave. A/C worked well. Great DH view and views of ocean between buildings. Condo was in good shape overall and kitchen adequately supplied. Only downside of our stay was the refrigerator (which was probably pretty old given that it had "decorative" contact paper on the front) started leaking condensation from freezer and not cooling adequately two days after we got there (Tue). By Saturday our half&half had curdled, our beer wasn't very cold, and the motor started making a lot of noise. We emailed the company and they sent somebody by Sunday. Motor was quiet, but freezing and cooling and condensation issues remained. They said they would replace the unit Monday but we never heard from them again; however we were checking out Tuesday. Not sure if this was a first time occurance. If so, then bad luck of timing. However, if there were ongoing issues with frig, probably should have been replaced before.

Second stay at Sunset unit 2612

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have rented for almost 20 years in Oahu during January and February. Will return in June for a short visit and will stay here again. Had reported rug was worn and filthy and worse his year. Cleaned condo daily with items I bought first year. Gave heavy cleaning last day, took refrig apart, micro, stove, washed floors, scrubbed tub, floors, even washed towels. Yet, the cleaning company told Kaina condo was dirty, and they were going to keep part our deposit. Ended up giving it back, but still upset and don't know why the cleaners said this. Also, what are cleaners paid to do? Will take pictures in June and trust this will not happen again. Would ask that Kaina makes sure there our cleaning pads for floors and Windex. Also, very little directions for condo in English. Note: fee for cleaning should be reduced due to condition of carpet.
