The property is beautiful! The creek is in your backyard which is the best thing ever. The house is beautiful inside and out. We loved having our vacation here! All of the sounds and trees surrounding us was beautiful! I could definitely stay again! We had plenty of amenities needed for a weeks stay. Above all the creek is just amazing. Every morning I'd sit on the deck with my coffee listening to the creek and the sounds of nature surrounding us. We absolutely love this property and our stay was wonderful!

Serene Escape

My wife and I wanted a serene escape surrounded by nothing but nature, and Kate's cabin was perfect for us. We didn't see any other people while we were there and couldn't hear anything but the creek, the crackling of the fireplace, the wind rustling the leaves, and the birds chirping. We'd love to be back next time we need to reconnect with nature in peace!

Quiet Weekend Away

We loved this cabin for a quick weekend reset. The view of the river is gorgeous, and the downstairs bedroom is so spacious. Make sure to bring trash bags with you, we couldn’t find a trash can in the cabin. We will definitely be coming back!

Rustic Comfy Cozy

The stay was absolutely wonderful. Coffee, breakfast on the porch, the sun rising over the mountain along with the ambience of Sleepy Creek was a daydream come true. The property is beautiful and about 20 minutes from different state parks was perfect. The bridge beung out made coming back from day adventures little confusing. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful winter weekend getaway

My wife and I came for a weekend trip. We love this place. A previous reviewer noted this place was not a winter cabin, which was a concern. Once we were here and got the fire going we had warmth all weekend. Everything you need for a weekend was here. All you need to bring is your loved ones, food and drinks. Peaceful and beautiful.

Nature lovers dream

Me and my partner had the most wonderful time staying in this cabin. The location is perfect. It’s beautifully tucked away from the other houses right into the trees. We spent most mornings bird watching off of the back deck. The river was a higher tide during our stay, which made the lovely river sounds all the louder and more comforting. The cabin its self is very pretty! The high ceilings in the main area, and many windows, make the space feel very open and light. Everything is well labeled and easy to find. The bed and bedding is super soft. The couch is very comfortable. The trail attached to the back yard is definitely for adventurers with some careful footing. Berkley springs is a very cute area. The main down town has very quaint shops run by what seem to be really kind people. The winding West Virginia roads with the views of the mountains kept me entertained every car ride. Can’t say enough good things.

2nd Time is another Charm

Had wonderful stay despite the rain and colder weather. Came here about 3 years ago, also in the spring, and had unseasonably fantastic weather with sunshine and 70+ degrees each day. We didn't have that kind of luck this year, but the location was once again fantastic. The creek, more like a river, was raging due to the great amount of rain. It was fun to watch the changing water levels and speed of the river each day. Would definitely return again!

Nature at your Front Door

Lovely cabin the woods. We cooked out, hiked, and checked out Berkely Springs. Take note, you cannot go into the creek. Rocks are extremely slippery and there are no fish in it. The hosts had all bases covered with all your basics. The ac units were kind of tricky to figure out. Beautiful cabin perfect for anyone looking to get away from noise and people.

Perfect Getaway

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a peaceful getaway where we could unplug and enjoy nature but close enough to town and activities that our seven year old didn't get stir crazy. We loved just relaxing on the porch and listening to Sleepy Creek, making s'mores in the fire pit at night, splashing in the creek during the day and our daughter even caught a few fish. While there are some neighbors nearby, there are none to be seen from the place and we really felt as if it was all ours. Kate was a wonderful host - communicating with us all the usual tidbits and a heads up that the creek was high when we first arrived due to recent storms. She even went above and beyond and trimmed branches hanging over the driveway since I mentioned we may be bringing bikes on our roof rack. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

40th anniversary trip

My wife and I decided to go to the Outer Banks for our 40th anniversary. We decided later to make it a 2 week trip, so we booked The Cabin at Sleepy Creek for 3 nights to start our trip and another to finish after the beach house. The cabin was absolutely perfect, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by the creek after a day of riding bikes. And spent one day just hanging out on the deck, it was so enjoyable. Saw deer walking up the creek and owls in the woods across in the evening. Kate was a joy to work with after I screwed up making the reservation. Very pleasant to deal with and we both had a good chuckle about that. Sleepy Creek cabin is one that we would like to return to for an extended weekend. Dave S

Sleepy Creek Cabin is a dream come true for us. Something about the mixture of arts, wellness, and natural beauty of Berkeley Springs kept us returning to this historic town. We finally decided we had to have a place of our own. When we first arrived at the cabin, saw the view of the water right from the deck, the privacy of the woods, and the beauty of the vaulted ceilings within, we knew this place was 'the one'. We lovingly renovated the cabin to what we refer to as 'Rustic Luxury'. No where on earth have we felt the peace as at Sleepy Creek Cabin and we hope to pass that on and let others experience the unique serenity this special place has to offer.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Complete privacy is what you will experience. Sitting on the deck facing the creek you will not see another house or cabin. If you need a break from life in the fast lane, this is it. We love the fact that within 10-15 minutes we can be in town to eat at fine restaurants, tour art galleries, antique shops, or get a massage. Also close by are local parks to boat, fish, hike, run, bike, or ride horses. It truly is the best of all worlds.
