Stugan har ett gourmetkök (bÀnkskivor i tvÄlsten / lantbrukssÀnk, induktionsspis), breda plankegg och konst / trÀverk / metallskulptur / mÄlat glas frÄn lokala hantverkare. Renoveringar avslutades 2016 med alla nya apparater (inklusive kombinerad tvÀttmaskin / torktumlare) och nya möbler. Gas spis och antik belysning. Gratis WiFi, kabel-TV med massor av kanaler, DVR och Netflix. Rymmer fyra: king size-sÀng och himmelljus för stjÀrna som tittar pÄ master, tvÄ tvillingar xl som kan omvandlas till kung i 2: a BR. Njut av den fantastiska utsikten och trÀdgÄrden frÄn det skuggade dÀcket av talltrÀdet eller den intima tÀckta uteplatsen tillbaka.

En lokal hantverkare, Dale White, gjorde en fantastisk förvandling och anvÀnde skalbaggar (blÄ flÀck) pÄ tak och inbyggda insatser. Hemmet Àr bara 750 kvadratmeter, men det kÀnns mycket större med vÀlvda tak, öppen planlösning och olika inbyggda insatser. SkÄpen Àr fyrsÄgad ek, och köksbordets bas Àr frÄn en gammal panna. Badrumets fÄfÀnga Àr gjord av forntida bristlecone tall, med en tvÄlsten diskbÀnk / disk. Jag kÀnner att sjÀlva stugan Àr konst, och jag Àlskar att vara i den. Jag hoppas att du ocksÄ kommer.

Stugan ligger kvar frÄn vandringsleder, pool, sjön Green Mtn Falls och restauranger. Green Mountain Falls Àr en pittoresk och lugn stad. Denna stuga Àr en fridfull bas för turneringar i Air Force Academy, The Broadmoor, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs och mÄnga fler av de nÀrliggande platserna. This cabin was perfect! The owner has thoughtfully provided everything that might be needed to make your stay comfortable. It was incredibly clean, had comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, a gorgeous view and lots of personal touches. The fresh baked apple pie with ice cream and custom lip balms were a wonderful surprise. We will definitely stay here again!

I truly couldn’t have asked for more from my stay here! Lisa’s communication was prompt, thorough, and kind. The property was immaculately clean and had all the things I could have wanted, big and little. The location is ideal, only about 15-20 minutes from the Garden of the Gods and a ton of other hiking trails. I loved my stay here and can’t wait to come back.

Great August Vacation

Great trip. Cabin was really well stocked, very clean and comfortable. Even though there were record-high temperatures down in Colorado Springs, we were just fine without air-conditioning.

Stop looking - this IS the most fantastic cabin. I promise you will not be sorry you book a stay here. The Host is fantastic - even gave us a bottle of wine and fresh baked pie. The cabin is VERY well appointed - every details has been considered, well stocked kitchen, bathroom and super comfy beds. Excellent WiFi and location is perfect if you are visiting the sites or just want low key time away. Only complaint - we didn't get to stay longer. You will not be disappointed with this property. Don't look any further.

We loved our stay at Cabin in the Woods. It was beautiful and clean, had everything we needed in terms of amenities, and it's location was the perfect place for our adventures to various locations around Green Mountain Falls. The property provided various areas so our family could spread out when needed while providing a great space for us to spend together. The property manager was AMAZING and ensured our stay was enjoyable. We also took advantage of nearby hikes and the community pool all in walking distance.

Wonderful Stay in GMF

Lisa’s property was a dream come true! She has made a home away from home. Cabin in the Pines is complete with most everything a traveler could need (including a freshly baked homemade pie upon arrival). The location has an incredible view and is in walking distance to hiking trails, dining, and shopping. Our family of four had an incredible summer stay and are hoping to book something again soon!

We had such a lovely stay for our family summer vacation! The host communicated everything we needed to know before and during our stay, and was delightful to work with. From the moment we arrived to see the cozy cabin and find a delicious apple pie waiting for us in the kitchen, to the beautiful views of the mountains out the front windows, to the warm and comfortable rooms, we were in heaven! Our 4 year old son enjoyed playing with the legos and train set and running around in the back yard. It’s a great location, not far from many attractions and activities in surrounding cities, and the town of Green Mountain Falls was really sweet. We enjoyed walks around the lake and gazebo, and a nearby playground for our son, as well as several excellent restaurants all within walking distance. We would absolutely come stay again and recommend to all our family and friends! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful place!

Best Host for a Family Vacation!

Our Colorado vacation kicked off with an absolutely amazing stay! Lisa is an incredible host, and her property was truly exceptional. From the moment we booked, Lisa provided outstanding communication, and to our delight, she even left us the best apple pie I've ever tasted. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the sweet, delicious filling made our trip even more special.Beyond the delicious treats, Lisa's place is fully stocked, allowing us to easily grill up steaks for an amazing meal. The property is also spotlessly clean, and the view from the front porch provided the most relaxing and peaceful setting for our morning coffee. The location was ideal, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown while still being conveniently close to all the attractions Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs have to offer.Thank you Lisa for an amazing stay. We hope to visit again.

Best VRBO experience!

Everything about this property and my stay was perfect. From the welcome pie (homemade apple!) to the house manual which is comprehensive and extremely helpful; from the view to the linens, my experience was top notch! I’ve been coming to GMF all my life, so on this trip I wanted to unplug, relax, and renew my soul. That’s exactly what I did! Without exception, this is the best equipped VRBO property I’ve ever stayed in. Lisa has thought of everything! If you sit on the deck and are very quiet, you can hear the one trees sing. It’s amazing.

Fantastic place to stay.

This is by far the best place we have stayed. The location is beautiful and so is the cabin. It’s conveniently located near the town center and hiking trails. The host is wonderful and has a great guide book for the area. I can’t say enough good things about the cabin, lots of little joys await!

We loved this cozy little cabin in the pines. Great access to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and the Royal Gorge in Colorado Springs area. Nicely updated and homey.

As much as it would be wonderful to keep this a best kept secret so we can always go back, but it would be unfair to keep this from others! It was an incredible place to stay, beautiful cabin, beautiful setting, absolutely fantastic host in Lisa and so many great things to do in the area.

A beautiful retreat

What a beautiful retreat in the quaint town of Green Mountain Falls. The cabin was beyond amazing (one of the best Vrbo’s I’ve ever stayed in), the location could not have been better, and our host was fantastic. From the fresh baked apple pie that welcomed us to literally every other amenity you can think of

I truly enjoy sharing this charming mountain town with my guests. My gifts are creating comfortable and inviting spaces indoors and out. I also love hiking with my two dogs, gardening, baking, and visiting National Parks and seeing family at my Chicago roots. I have been a resident of our wonderful town since 1989.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Last year we purchased the cabin from our adopted Parents/Grandparents/Neighbors, after they could no longer come to the mountains to escape the Kansas heat and enjoy the mountains. The cabin was sentimental to both my two children and myself, and we couldn't bear to see anyone else own the cabin. So we decided to renovate it and host guests in the cabin. We hope we have made Gary and Phyl proud, and are as welcoming to you in this cabin as they were to us all those 28 years.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Cabin has always been really charming on the outside. The deck with it's expansive mountain views is so relaxing. The covered patio off the kitchen with rock table and views of the garden is very intimate. The locals are kind and friendly, and I love my neighbors!

After we bought it from Gary and Phyl, we sought to make the inside as great as the outside. A local craftsman, Dale White, did an amazing transformation, using beetle kill pine (blue stain) on the ceilings and built-ins. The home is only 750 square feet, but it feels much larger with the vaulted ceilings, open floor plan, and various built-ins. The cabinets are quarter sawn oak, and the kitchen table base is from an old boiler. The bathroom vanity is made from ancient bristlecone pine, with a soapstone sink/counter. Local artist Doyle Svenby's metal work is on the kitchen wall and his metal art sculpture is out back. I've really enjoyed creating the gardens. It's my therapy. Martha Wheeler, has her pencil drawings displayed. And Dana Keys has a beautiful stained glass window in one of the bedroom doors. I feel like the cabin itself is art, and I love being in it. I hope you will too.
