Beautiful central Austin apartment! Near ATX-cool cafes, bars, & parks!

Julian is originally from Liverpool but has lived in Austin even longer than his Texas-born-and-raised wife, Sloan. As a couple, they love attending - and dancing at - music festivals, enjoying home cooked meals, and spending time with family. Travel is their passion, and both have had the opportunity to visit, live, and work in countries all over the world.

Sloan's a life-long public educator, currently leading Austin ISD's Creative Learning Initiative, having taught PK-6th grades in Austin, San Francisco and Thailand. She's a maker at heart: from printmaking to sewing to constructing sculptures from scraps for her beautiful garden. She loves staring up into the oak trees in her backyard (where she and Julian got married! :), growing her own veggies and cooking them up fresh, riding her bike until the cows come home, and playing the piano to process all the love and crazy of the world.

Julian's hilarious. (He's British...) He's laid-back, clever, and loves his crossword puzzles. Julian will go out to live music at the drop of a hat - no matter the time, place, or school night. He adores his dog, Kiki, and can't get enough of watching her dart back and forth in the backyard as she tries to catch the water in the hose. Julian's one of those guys who places soccer at the top of his priority pyramid - our family is trained not to talk to him when Everton is playing.

Sloan and Julian are very happily married with three amazing, grown kids they wish lived closer. They live adjacent to the apartment and are available to help out and answer questions when needed.

Wilshire Woods is a beautiful, friendly neighborhood tucked between three main Austin thoroughfares, making its central location ideal for nearby, fun nights out and easy commutes. The neighborhood is quiet and full of oak trees, making it ideal for an evening stroll. In the center of the neighborhood, Patterson Park includes a basketball court, tennis courts, a swimming pool (open in the summer), cooperative gardening, picnic tables, and a field for soccer and baseball.
The Mueller complex, across the road, has a bustling farmer's market on Sunday and dozens of popular restaurants and cafes as well as miles of trails around duck and fishing ponds. Just a few minutes away, Manor Road also boasts numerous hot spots, including a pizza joint, family-run Tex-Mex restaurant with a Mescal bar upstairs, a pub in an old schoolhouse, a sports bar, delicious southern cooking, and breakfast tacos galore!
By car, in 10-15 minutes, you're bar hopping downtown, strolling on UT campus, checking out live music and museums, paddle boarding on Town Lake, or experiencing live theater and dance.
