Väder: Många anser att Costa Del Sol har det bästa klimatet på fastlands-Europa. I genomsnitt mer än 320 soldagar per år. Inte för varmt på sommaren [när andra delar av Med överstiger 38oC]. Och varmare sunnare och torrare på vintern [när större delen av Europa är under frysning, kommer det varmaste stället sannolikt att vara Costa Del Sol. Jan tilldelar mitten av 60-talet]. Nerja har dock ett ännu bättre klimat än resten av kusten. Det har sitt eget mikroklimat till följd av den skyddade viken och bergen direkt bakom. El Capistrano Playa själv är mycket skyddad. Det är nästan alltid en sval bris under sommarmånaderna och de lägre terrasserna i lägenheten är vackra och skyddade för solbad även i januari. Det finns ett lokalt talesätt som väl beskriver klimatet, "solen tillbringar vintern i Nerja och vinden tillbringar sommaren".

Location and view

Excellent location with beautiful view over the beach and ocean. The weather is sunny and warm but not overwhelming in m late May early June. Loved it

Relaxing break

Lovely little apartment for 2. Great location with wonderful views, good balcony and roof terrace, on a pretty complex with beautiful gardens and not overlooked. Nice walk to Burriana beach through the complex and about 20 minutes to Nerja and a short drive to Frigiliana. We would definitely return to this apartment. Would definitely return.

Spectacular View - Great Apartment

We have been holidaying around The Med for 25 years and this is easily the best appointed apartment we have stayed at. The view is spectacular. Engagement with Emma before our stay was prompt, helpful and very much appreciated. The apartment itself provided a very comfortable stay. The decor was fresh and bright and everything worked. The terraces were excellent, although one small suggestion would be to put a smaller table in the lower terrace to free up some room around the space. The steep walk down to the beach, through the well maintained, beautifully manicured landscaping of Capistrano Playa, was very pleasant. The climb back up is a time to consider the level of your fitness and how much you value that view. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay at the apartment and would hope to return soon.

Fabulous apartment, great location

This is a lovely little apartment, well furnished, spotlessly clean with a great view over the sea. It’s a 10 minute walk to Burriana beach and all the bars & restaurants (quite a steep climb back up!) and a 30 second walk to the pool where there are sun loungers, bar and cafe. The owner is very responsive and happy to answer any queries. Would highly recommend, perfect for a couple.

Wonderful Stay in Nerja

We loved this property and the 5 day stay in Nerja. This penthouse has an almost unobstructed180 degree view of the Mediterranean Sea and we loved sitting on the deck and just looking. The one-bedroom apartment is smallish as indicated in the photos, but plenty of room for two people and we did not feel crowded at all. The apartment was very clean, the linens and sheets were good and the bed was comfortable. There are a lot of steps to get down to the beach below, but we made the trip a least twice a day and it was easy. The beach is directly below the complex (Capistrano Playa) and has a lot of good restaurants, bars and little shops. The penthouse is well appointed and quite modern (recently remodeled?). We loved our stay in this Penthouse and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Superb Apartment

This is a lovely apartment with spectacular views. Everything was clean and modern and very tasteful. The location is also ideal for a walk down to Burriana Beach or further afield into Nerja town. You will work your dinner off though with the walk back up the steps to the apartment.

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at No.522. The views are amazing and the place is very thoughtfully and stylishly equipped. The walk down to the seafront was unexpectedly beautiful thro the well kept and beautifully stocked gardens. Taking the 199 steps at least once a day ensured we stayed active inbeteeen enjoying the lovely food and drinks available along the ‘strip’. Communication with Emma was excellent, very helpful. I would say that unless a lot of steps are a problem, or you want to sit and watch tv, you would struggle to find a nicer, better value place for a couple to stay in Nerja. Would certainly stay here again should we return to the area.

Fantastic apartment with fantastic views. Only down is that the washing machine is on the top level and if you don't like heights may be a problem. Great liaison with Emma the owner who was helpful at all times. Took us a while to work out the bus into Burriana/Nerja but stops just next to the rubbish bins 2 mins walk from the apt and runs regularly but not between 2-5pm presumably because of siesta time! The walk to Burriana is lovely through the gardens and most of it is private. Supermarket is 15 min walk away - they do deliveries but it appears that you have to shop in store and they deliver the following day. Didn't try it so can't comment on reliability. Overall though fantastic place to stay - the pool is a 1 min walk and if you fancy a coffee before they open at 10am the cafe attached just around the corner is open earlier!

Wonderful apartment

Emma has made this apartment so comfortable & with everything needed for a lovely break but with style inside & out. It was spotlessly clean & well equipped. Even in March it was easy to keep the apartment warm in the cool evenings. Outside both terraces are lovely & the view stunning. We have stayed in different apartments in Capistrano playa and find it quiet and love the views. Here you not overlooked whether on the roof terrace or the lower terrace. Emma is very helpful from beginning to end. We would love to return.

Great apartment, great location

Fantastic penthouse property on a nice complex, the only property not overlooked. We couldn’t find the BBQ that was listed but we decided to eat out every night, so it wasn’t a problem. It’s around 250 steps down to the beach, which would be difficult if not mobile, but was a great bit of exercise for us. To walk into the old town, you also need to go down the steps then up a hill, it’s a good walk after a meal and some drinks. The property did not feel as clean as you would like but we put everything into the dishwasher and had a quick wipe around, I do not think the apartment had been used for a while, so it was not a problem. Overall a great stay, fantastic property in a great location, not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Great apartment with amazing views

We have been to Nerja many times and this is the best apartment we have stayed in. The apartment looks exactly like the photos and was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked really well (although there was usually a breeze through the apartment and we never needed to use the air conditioning in the living room). The two terraces are the highlight of the apartment - very private and quiet with the most amazing views of the sea and mountains. It was always possible to get shade on the lower terrace (necessary in August!) and the upper terrace had sun all day - it would be fantastic in winter. We really enjoyed the walk into town, down through the landscaped gardens and then up the Burriana hill - it took about 20 minutes but was very manageable, even in the August heat. This will be at the top of our list of places to stay the next time we’re in Nerja (and we were very disappointed to see it’s not available in January!)

Fabulous. Highly recommended!

A perfect apartment for two. The views over the Med are amazing. The apartment has everything you need, and we cooked a few times (10 minute walk to the nearest Mercadona and there is a wheelie shopping bag in the apartment to help). Two verandas - if you are sun worshipers the upper one is amazing, and has views to the mountains and the sea. We were glad of the two sunshades! We rarely used the air con as the overhead fan and gentle breeze from the open door in the bedroom was enough. The communal pool area was great. It never got too busy and there is shade, sun loungers (4€) and a snack bar too. The whole complex is very well maintained, and the gardens are particularly beautiful. The walk down and up the steps to the Burriana Beach is worth the effort, but as an overweight, menopausal woman, I saw it as a challenge rather than off putting. I’m not going to lie, it is hard, but well worth it for the beach and great restaurants. Takes about 10 minutes to get back up. 15 mins to walk into beautiful Nerja. Our communication with Emma the owner was great and she was very helpful.

Best View In The Complex

We really enjoyed our stay at Capistrano Playa. What we loved: -the view is the best in the complex. Morning sun on the two balconies and afternoon sun on the roof balcony. Many units have either morning or afternoon sun. This unit has both given its unique location. -location close to Burriana Beach and Old Town Nerja is great. Many have commented about the number of stairs up from the beach; yes, this could be an issue for some. We didn’t mind and enjoyed the climb up through the tropical gardens and waterfall. -parking was always available outside our door but we were there in November and this might be more of an issue in peak season. -the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. These are 2 key issues that are most important to us. -a small item we appreciated was the Bose Bluetooth speaker for playing music. -the kitchen had everything we needed for eating in, which we did quite often over our 3 week stay. -the roof deck washing machine and drying rack worked well and are essential for a 3 week stay. Things that could be improved: -the table on the balcony is too large for the space and could use one more comfortable chair. -the drip coffee maker doesn’t work very well but we preferred the French Press that was provided. -if you like to watch TV you may find the very small TV and sound quality an issue. Emma was an excellent host who responded immediately to any inquiries. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Perfect location and perfect apartment

This apartment was perfect for what we wanted for this holiday. The location is stunning, with probably the best views we have had in over 40 years of holidaying. Sitting on the roof terrace, with a slight breeze to reduce the heat of the afternoon was just superb. We came with hand luggage only, and found using the train and local bus option from Malaga was easy. Would recommend a taxi from the bus station to the apartment - we had plenty of time so walked through the town, down to Burriana then up the dusty road - which was a slog after a long day travelling - couldn't use the walk through the gardens till we got the key from the apartment. The apartment lives up to the excellent photos on this site - right at the top of the complex, with fantastic views of the beach and the mountains from both terraces. We spent some time on the beach, but found it difficult to drag ourselves away from the roof terrace - what a superb place to spend a few hours. The apartment had everything we needed - modern, light and cool. The bed was fabulous, and the apartment now has air con. A car would be useful, but there is a local bus stop a 2 minute walk away - 1 Euro into Nerja, and a taxi back was about 8 Euros, so not bad. The steps have been mentioned - about 200 down to the beach, and about 400 back up (well it seemed like it!) But the gardens are very well kept, clean, safe - the pond appears to be fed by running water, so although it looks green on some photos, it is actually crystal clear, with fish, terrapins and frogs swimming round the water lilies, so we approached it as a pleasant walk and it was fine (and we are getting on a bit). The view made it worthwhile. There is a pool and snack bar a couple of minutes away, 10 minutes down to the beach, with loads of bars and restaurants, and then another 15 - 20 mins walk into town. 10 minute walk the other way to an excellent large and modern supermarket. Would we book again? In a heartbeat -as long as our kness hold out!

Very Disappointed

A beautiful location in a perfect setting. We stayed at this apartment a year ago and had some issues with cleanliness and getting the key on our arrival. We arrived and found no key in the key box. We were told the manager would come to let us in. We waited for 2 hours for keys to find the Manager had been on a day out. The linen was dirty especially the matteress protector and pillow protectors. We raised this issue with the owner and she apologised and said this was not the norm. She said she had had issues with cleaners and gone through 3 in a year. Because of the location we decided to give the owner a 2nd chance.having been assured it would be to a much better standard On arrival to our 2nd holiday at the apartment we immediatley checked the bed linnen to find it just as dirty as before, all badly stained. On checking the bathroom and kitchen we went out to buy cleaning products.We didn't contact the owner due to the delays last year as we needed to wash the bedding to be able to get into a clean bed. Problems found - Thin, old bedding which eventually opened into a big hole on bed sheet. Grey towels were bleach stained and fraying. Bathmat was dirty and frayed. Toilet brush was filthy and sat in soiled toilet water. Rusty bathroom cabinet so would not use. Bath would not empty so used a plunger to find it was clogged with thick black gunk. Dishwasher wasn't cleaning so checked the filter to find it full of slime, fat..and old food. Hob had burned on food. The freezer part of the fridge was so full of ice I couldn't get anything in it and the bottle holders had been removed from the door making space very limited. Kettle was choked with limescale. Sunbed cushions were stained and old as were the sun parasols. We arranged to clean our linen but needed a new sheet to replace the ripped one. contacted the owner. It was Sunday and she said did we want it that day or would Monday be ok.We arrived back after dinner on Monday to find the bed stripped and all towels we had laundered gone and replaced with marked ones.3 out of 4 pillowcases were so old and thin they were holed. I contacted the owner with photos and she said she would get some dropped off or we could buy some and she would reimburse us. After I emailed more photos I was given a refund of 8.5% which I hadn't agreed. Overall the boutique apartment did not live up to the description as it is in need of an upgrade and a good clean.

It has full sun from sunrise to sunset if wanted between the 2 terraces. It has thru ventilation with windows back and front. Is light bright and airy. Is finished to a high contemporary standard. Air con. Free wifi. Full sky package tv. Easy access from the road. Close to the pool. Quiet and no noise from neighbours above as there is noone above!
