Wonderful log cabin stay

Relaxing and inviting stay. We enjoyed the dock area and watching the ducks and geese. Very quiet and accessible neighborhood and location. Baxter, the neighborhood cat loves to visit. Wonderful beach and fire pit area. Hosts give you 100 percent privacy. Communication is excellent. You will not be disappointed booking this property.

Nice, quiet and friendly

We had a great stay. The apartment was clean and had everything you need in the kitchen to make meals with. My kids spent a lot of time fishing. Both catching their first fish while there. We spent nights at the campfire roasting marshmallows and hotdogs while reading scary stories. My kids really enjoyed the stay. Thanks for letting us make memories at your place.

Clean nice easy check in an out use of the dock was great with the kids fire pit by the lake quite good place to relax easy access would highly recommend a will be planning on going back !!!!

Perfect place for a getaway

The place was perfect, guiet and right on Lake Norman. Too cold to go hang out in the water but was beautiful to look at. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room and all utensils needed was provided. Frank and his wife were very friendly and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend this house for any stay in the Charlotte area

Just what I needed. The home is exactly as described and the waterfront was quiet and peaceful. There was little boat traffic which made floating and relaxing effortless.

Perfect Getaway with A+ Hosts

We stayed 4 nights and plan on returning next month for another long weekend. Frank and Linda were excellent hosts. Made us feel at home. Comfortable beds. Very Clean house. Great location. Plenty of amenities and the best views around. Highly recommend. Looking forward to our next visit.

Best Kept Secret

I was delighted to find this property near family I was visiting at Lake Norman. You get a lot for the very affordable rate! The second bedroom made it easy to share the apartment with my cousin. The care and attention from the hostess was an especially sweet surprise. I will definitely rent this property again.

Norman fishing trip

Property could be perfect. A few things need to be fixed. Generally good. On a cove with no wake zone no speedy boats. Launch ramp about 8 miles but not hard to get to. Local ramp not public. Boat dock used for tying up boat during stay. Towels and linens were furnished.

Born and Raised on Long Island, NY. Always had a passion for the Water. Navy Veteran. Raised my family on a Water-Front home on Long Island that I personally built. Followed my son to North Carolina where we found and built this unique property. I live with my wife in the upper portion of this beautiful log home and enjoy renting out to guests our lower level. My grandchildren who are 7 and 4 often visit on the weekends. The lower level is totally separated with its own parking, entrance and lighted drive.

I vacationed on Lake Norman for two summers and just knew I had to live here. I found this magnificent property in Sherrills Ford as an open lot. Me and my son developed and built my second dream house, A Log House.
