I kanten av köket har ett runt matbord med plats för 8 utsikt över det blå Stilla havet. Överdrivna skjutdörrar till Lanai möjliggör sömlös inomhus / utomhus boende och fånga de svaga tradewindsna som blåser in från havet. Vardagsrummet har två stora separata sittplatser, en väggmonterad platt-TV, en öppen spis och golv till tak fönster som belyser den tropiska trädgården och stranden bortom. Elektroniska bekvämligheter inkluderar dvd- / cd-spelare, satellit-tv, trådlöst höghastighetsinternet och dockningsstation för iPod.

Det finns 3 sovrum på översta våningen i hemmet. Två av rummen är master-sviter med King-sängar, platt-tv och havsutsikt. Båda har eget badrum som har stora duschkabiner och badkar. Det tredje rummet har en drottningssäng och havsutsikt. Alla rum har stora fönster och franska dörrar som leder till havsutsikt lanais. Bottenvåningen gästsviten har egen separat ingång, King sovrum, badrum och vardagsrum med bäddsoffa (det finns ingen A / C i nedre sovrummet). Haena stränder erbjuder surfing, skalas, sola och (när vädret tillåter) snorkling i världsklass. Hemmet ligger en kort bit till ingången till den ökända Kalalau spåret som går längs den stora Napali-kusten. En snabb bilresa till Hanalei stad kommer att ta dig till en mängd restauranger och charmiga butiker. Perfect serene location

Our family of five stayed for Spring Break at King Hale. It was exceptional. It is the perfect serene location where we barely saw anyone else but had constant ocean views. There were flowers everywhere. We could hear the waves while we were sleeping. The kitchen was one of the best equipped of any VRBO we have used. There were also many supplies left (sunscreen, salt, pepper, olive oil, etc) from other vacationers that made our stay easier. We didn't use the lower floor bedroom because it was a separate entrance but we did use the gym, which was a nice addition. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location For a Great Vacation

The house was on the beach and had a deck perfect for enjoying our morning coffee all the way through star gazing at night. We could walk down the beach to Tunnels or take a quick drive into Hanalei Bay. The property met all of our needs and the property manager was super helpful and responsive. My only suggestion would be to update the ground floor space. We did not use this area aside from the gym, but a larger family may have been disappointed with the quality of the ground floor space as compared to how cool the main living area is. Five stars - totally recommend this place!!

King Hale is Sweet

Love that one can open the gigantic sliding doors and let the ocean air flow through. The main bedroom is out of a movie with views on 3 sides,the ocean on two sides and the ridge line of the Napali coast in the other. We cook all our meals and the kitchen has everything you need, albeit the BBQ could use an update.Also to note, which I didn’t realize til the last day there..the back bathroom has a steam shower👍First or hundredth time it’s one of the best homes available in the North end of Kauai.

Great gathering

3 generations plus one wedding engagement had a memorable time. It was great being right in front of the ocean. House had great accommodations for six ( main house) Ok accommodation for 3 (lower level) and couch bed for #10 which is fine for a younger person. View and large living/ dining was worth it.

It was large enough that all of our party had privacy, and a separate bathroom. There was ample common space to spread out and enjoy the stunning views. The house is very well maintained and provided with everything you would need . The kitchen is Enormous and stocked with good quality pots, dishes etc. Beach chairs, cooler, umbrellla and snorkeling gear iare also provided, This place was absolute paradise.

Excellent stay for a large family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 8 adults and 1 child had a phenomenal time at the King Hale rental property. If you're looking for a remote location, this is it. The view was incredible in both the front and back of the property and the "end of the road" nature of being so far up the north shore really gave this a secluded charm. I'd recommend it even more than being "in town" like Hanalei as long as you adequately stock up on food and drink for your stay. For that, there's a Costco and Target in Lihue that you can stop at with your rental car before the hour-long drive to Wainiha. The house was clean, the property management was courteous, and the check-in and check-out was a breeze. The one small issue, that I'm sure the managers will correct shortly, was that one of the guest bedrooms was missing two sets of blinds and lacked privacy as the lanai went right outside of the bedroom. We remedied this by hanging up blankets. As far as the beach, there are great options just a 2 minute walk up the shore in either direction. Right in front of the property is a tide-pool and pretty snorkeling reef where we saw various sea life like parrotfish, sea cucumbers, rays, and even an eel. I don't often write reviews, but we left this place KNOWING that we booked the right house.

Magnificent Views of the Ocean, Mountains and the Stars!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved King Hale...the house, the property and the location! The main house is wonderful, each of the three bedrooms have amazing views. The bathrooms with their tubs, steam shower and views, are sweet too. The great room that is the kitchen, living room and dining area is so big & open and the huge doors that open along the back and front are incredible - they allow for views of the mountains and ocean and air to flow through the house too! The windows, screens and doors were in pristine condition which is a total benefit - we were able to have the windows and/or doors open all the time to hear the ocean waves! The balcony is AWESOME!! Front and back! The kitchen is fully stocked with items for cooking and eating in. We LOVED being here. The only downside we found is that the gym and the fourth bedroom are not accessible via the inside of the main house (you have to go outside of the main house and enter each separately) and although the 4th bedroom has its own small living space to include a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and living area, it is very disappointing compared to the upper main house living space and especially bedrooms. The guests in your group/family that stay in there, do have a lower view of the ocean from the living space, but the bedroom is in the back with no view and is unfortunate. The gym is an added bonus and a nice space to workout in, again though it is only accessible from the outside. The relief map of Kauai hanging in the gym is a really nice & fun added touch, and one that we love - as we have that very same one in our home! King Hale is an amazing place, and we would be lucky to stay here again!! Oh, one more thing -- the stars at night!!! Wow!! Incredible!

Amazing beachfront property in a gorgeous location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We couldn't have been happier staying at King Hale. It was perfect for our family of 7. The 3 upstairs bedrooms all had stunning oceanfront views and everyone had their own bathroom. The teenagers loved staying in the downstairs guest house with kitchenette. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed to prepare gourmet meals. We enjoyed stunning sunsets AND sunrises every day. We walked to Tunnels many days for awesome snorkeling (try the middle of the bay) and even though the beach out front is a bit rocky, you can walk a short distance to the right or left to get to lovely beaches for swimming/snorkeling. There is a restaurant at Hanalei Colony Resort (a 5 minute walk) that has great poke and a coffee place. The only trouble we had was a leaky AC unit in the second master but it was cool enough for sleeping without. Hanalei Bay is a 10-15 minute drive. This iconic town offers surfing, restaurants and shopping. The adults ate at Bar Acuda one evening and it was the best meal we've had in a long time. The property host, Kevin, was fantastic—very responsive and helpful. We forgot a suitcase at the property and he graciously retrieved it and helped us get it back promptly. Our family is already planning our next trip to King Hale.

A Slice of Heaven

The property is absolutely gorgeous. We were a family ranging in ages from 1-85. Between the upstairs spaces and the downstairs apartment everyone had a place of their own. The power did go out once but Kevin responded quickly. We learned that part of the house runs on solar so the refrigerator and oven came back on pretty quickly. We had a local chef, Thomas Ryan, cooking for us that evening. He just went with the flow... It was one of the best meals I have ever had in an amazing location.

The beach right in front of us is a shallow reef, and we saw monk seal resting and turtle feeding right up the shore.The house is large enough for our family (8 adults and 2 kids). Loved the spacious Kitchen and living room. Would've liked to have a larger dining table, and the BBQ was a bit old and small for the house. They are doing renovation and couldn't accommodate some of the promised amenities, but Kevin was great at keeping us happy. We are sure to come back soon.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home with incredible views from all sides of the house. We had our own beach right at our back door. The layout of the house is perfect. The home came with all the appliances you would possibly need. My only complaint is that one room has a pullout bed and I think it should be a full size bed. Some of the blinds were broken. However, it is understandable that replacement parts may take time. There was also a power outage for 20 hours, which we heard was a common occurrence. I think a large, beautiful house like this should have a backup generator. Some of the outdoor furniture also should be replaced. With all this being said, we enjoyed the house and would stay there again.

Beautiful location

The property is gorgeous and the house has a large kitchen and living area with amazing views. The location is on the beach within walking distance to our favorite beach, Tunnels.

Glorious house and Vacation

King Hale has got to be one of the best places to stay in the North of Kauai. The kitchen is huge... with many working spaces available for many people to be preparing dinners. Great appliances, cookware, and the knives were amazing (usually in a rental, I find cheap dull knives). The wifi is very strong... six of us were all working at the house with great internet speeds. The house is equipped with many beach chairs, boogey boards, snorkel equipment, beach towels, and even a few pairs of water shoes. The concierge hooked us up with a message therapist that came to the house. The only challenge we had was that the house is fairly remote, and we didn't want to drive 1-1.5 hours one way to get to the South and west of the island for dinners or to boating and snorkeling tours out of Elee or Port Allen. We were in Kauai in March... a little too early for boating out of the North Shore. The cute town of Hanalei is a 15 min drive - shopping, grocery, and restaurants. Hanalei bay is a fabulous beach where you can take surf lessons and snorkel. Hanalei dining - Make reservations ahead of time for Bar Acuda and Ama, Postcards is nice too. Dolphin has a wonderful fresh fish market (get there early for already prepared foods like Poki and rolls. Dolphin restaurant is first come first serve dining- lots of variety on the menu and nice servers. We also enjoyed horseback riding at Princeville Ranch, Golfing at Princeville Makai club, Kayak and hiking tour at Alii Kayaks (an absolute must), Mountain Tubing Adventure, snorkeling at Tunnels beach, hiking the sleeping dragon. There is so much to do on Kauai!

The beach out front is not really swimmable, but it's just a short stroll left or right to calm waters. Best suggestion is to rent 's a 4 minute ride to Tunnels and no worries about parking. Home is big, bright and airy. Great Kitchen. Hawaii Life very responsive. Only note, they need to fix some of the blinds that have lost the wands you twist to close them with. Small detail. GREAT TIME and our favorite place in all of Hawaii to stay.

The house was clean and well equipped; the location was perfect; and we look forward to returning. There are a few things that we suggest can be improved:1. Most of the glassware should be replaced.2. The locks on the sliding doors were hard to operate, and one screen slider needs repair.3. The house alarm system was not operating.4. The entry gate was not functional.These were minor issues that did not interfere with our stay. Again, overall it was great.

AMAZING!

From the moment we walked in, we knew we made the right decision to stay at King Hale….the views from the home onto the beach were breathtaking! We came to celebrate our Anniversary, wanting someplace special, and we found it here. The location was perfect for long beach walks…Tunnels and Haena close by. Hanalei a short drive away for fun kayaking on the river. We invited two other couples to join us and there was plenty of room for all of us. They were pleasantly surprised at their accommodations for their stay with us. The kitchen is perfectly set up with everything you could need. The home is well stocked with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay….beach towels, sand toys, snorkel equipment, beach chairs, etc. Our host Ian, was quick to respond to our questions…..we were thankful that the home has solar! Our only concern was the next door neighbor who would fly his drone directly in front of the property. We noticed it on several occasions. We have stayed at other locations on Kauai, but by far, King Hale surpasses them all. We would stay here for our next getaway to Kauai! Mahalo!

Family Vacation

This property exceeded our expectations! Very well appointed, layout was perfect for our family that included couples, singles and an 11 month old. LOVED the seclusion of being on the North Shore of Kauai. Highly recommend this home.
