Older with an pungent odor

The apartment worked for our short stay. But it is an older apartment complex used for VRBO rentals. The decor was very simple. Take note there is very musty and mildewish smelling odor throughout. The place is definitely older and could use some improvements. The cleaning crew needs to step up their game a little, things were missed from the previous renters. In the kitchen area they had absolutely no dish clothes and there was absolutely no dish detergent of any kind to sanitize. It worked for our stay but we probably wouldn’t stay again in if we were in the area.

Very clean, cute apartment in a great location for exploring.

Joan was very nice and had good recommendations for restaurants. Once you get used to the parking routine, your stay will be easy. 😉

Fabulous place close to shopping, eateries!

Loved this place! Inexpensive to stay and close to Trader Joe's, restaurants, and shopping. Loved the free laundry access. Easy access to I-75, too. Fun to watch doggies walking by with their people. Rentable bikes were nearby, and the Katy Trail is close. Jerry was responsive to our needs as well. Cozy size, but plenty of room for a couple.

The moment my husband and I walked in we smelled something unpleasant not really sure what it was. Smelled stale like it has not had any attention in a while. There were also quite a few bugs in the apartment, flying bugs and spiders. We ended up not staying there and got a hotel that night, I could not deal with the bugs that's what got me the most. The apartment was dirty appeared as though their cleaning company was not doing a good job or not cleaning at all. I'm not really sure. The bed was hard. The bathroom was also very dirty. It was a cute little apartment I feel like it needed some attention though. Not sure I would stay there again.

Perfect little place for a vacation in Dallas. The location is perfect.

I rented this place for my visiting parents, as our house is being remodeled. I used to live in Uptown, and knew the location was ideal for sightseeing without a car. The neighborhood is so pretty, with some great bars, restaurants and a TraderJoe's food store within walking distance. the Katy Trail, DART station and trolley car are also within walking distance. The studio is small and the facilities are pretty basic, but adequate. The small outside seating area was enjoyed greatly. I would definitely book again for friends and family if we couldn't accommodate them.

Very Nice Apartment

We were up for the Dallas Cowboys first game of the season. Great location to Stadium and very nice neighborhood for eating and shopping. Loved that they are super dog friendly in this area. Made my weekend even better. Smiles

This is very much a family-run business my son Jerry is actively involved in running our 11 wonderful apartments. I am Joan. I was born in Czechoslovakia and I have lived in Czechoslovakia, Austria, Canada and now Dallas, TX. I have traveled extensively in Europe, Canada, Costa Rica and the United States. My favorite places are Tuscany, Italy; Prague, Czech Republic; Toronto, Canada; San Jose, Costa Rica; and southern California, plus Dallas. I speak fluent Czech, understand most Slavic languages, and even speak a little German. I enjoy life, exercise, the coasts and the beach, good dining, theatre, music and travel. I love my work managing my apartments and caring for my tenants and guests.

Fabulous neighborhood that's great now and getting better by the day. There are lots to do in the area; there are plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Trader Joe's supermarket less than two blocks away. Also, there are many areas to go for a walk, a run or a bike ride if you wish.

A Great Place to live.

The apartment is located in the heart of the trendy Knox District area on the cusp of Highland Park. There is a lot to do within safe walking distance. This is a great area in which to be hungry. GREAT NEWS! Just opened is Trader Joe’s just over 2 blocks away. At your fingertips is a wide selection of fresh foods and groceries along with great prepared meals. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are about 30 restaurants, bistros, bars and other entertainment options within easy walking distance. You will discover a wide variety of food choices and restaurant styles to pick from. Some restaurants are cozy and intimate, some with outside seating and other places that help to bring the night life alive. It is too hard to describe how vibrant and alive this community is; along with being known to be one of the friendliest pedestrian areas in Dallas. We can’t forget to mention the plethora of shops, boutiques and stores including a large Apple Computer Store, Crate and Barrel, Z Gallery and other exclusive shops for that special something to wear, and more.

After enjoying some guilty pleasures there is the Katy Trail, the backbone of our community. Only three blocks away, it is a 3 1/2 mile long walking, jogging and biking trail that goes from SMU to Downtown Dallas. The Katy Trail is nicely paved and landscaped; it gently rolls through the beautiful communities of Uptown Dallas. Hundreds of people take advantage of the Katy Trail every day. Our guests have commented “we didn’t need our car” or “we’re glad we brought our bikes”.

For those guests wishing to go further afield, our apartments are centrally located in the trendy Knox District of Dallas, adjacent to Highland Park, one of Dallas' premier neighborhoods. With easy access to the Central Expressway; it is only 7 minutes to downtown Dallas, 15 minutes to North Dallas, and downtown Plano.
