Nook är en mycket unik egenskap genom att den är omgiven av en vacker natur och ligger på 2. 5 tunnland gated trädgård men ändå bara 30 minuter från stadens centrum och 35 minuter Dublin flygplats via M50.

Lokala intressanta platser inkluderar badstaden Bray, byn Shankill, byn Dalkey, hamnen i Dun Laoghaire, Killiney-kullen, Glendalough nationalpark, Powerscourt Estate & Gardens och Jonnie Foxs pub för att bara nämna några. Gäståtkomst:
Nook gränsar till ett stort familjhem men gästerna har tillgång via en egen ingång och har koden för de elektriska grindarna. Hundarna:
Vi har två mycket vänliga hundar, Ben en golden retriever och Kenny en rubinkung Charles som gillar att vandra på marken och interagera med gästerna. De är underbara med barn men vi ber att särskilt små barn övervakas i deras företag. Om du av någon anledning inte är bekväm med hundar, meddela Daniel och han kommer att se till att de hålls borta från The Nook.

Lovely stay

The Nook was a fabulous stay! Daniel was very communicative during the stay. My children loved “playing” tennis every morning (in quotations because they’re three and 4 months!) relatively easy to get into Dublin if needed but we really enjoyed being outside the city. Spent a lot of time on the Bray Promenade! Would recommend for anyone with families!

Very Nice

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nook even though it was a quick visit for one night. Patrick was very helpful throughout the entire experience and even let us use his personal freezer to store some items. The house was lovely along with the grounds/landscaping. The only recommendation I would make is the interior needed a little sprucing up maybe with a fresh coat of paint in a couple of the rooms.

Absolutely excellent!

Staying at The Nook was an absolutely excellent start to our Ireland adventure. It was the perfect place for us to stay while exploring Dublin and the surrounding areas. The accommodations are perfect for two or three couples, and we found the setting in the countryside to be ideal vs. staying at a hotel in Dublin. And Daneil was great to work with. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect Stay In Ireland

The Nook is a perfect VRBO. It had everything we needed for our 6 night stay in Ireland. A bonus for sure was having the ability to wash/dry clothes. Daniel, was very efficient with communication and we had no problems with check-in and check out. The place has plenty of room and allowed us all to spread out be very comfortable.

Couldn't have been better!

Five of us stayed at Daniel's place for a couple of nights at the end of our Ireland trip. This was easily the nicest place we stayed throughout our 2-week trip. The Nook was clean and comfortable, and (unlike every other place we stayed) had sufficient hot water for all of us to shower. The area and grounds are beautiful and the proximity to Dublin city can't be beat. Their pup Ben was an added bonus, we loved running into him and showering him with pets! We hope to stay again on our next trip, and absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a place near Dublin!

Beautiful Property, Beautiful Neighborhood

The property was even more lovely than the pictures. The rooms were very large, and the garden was beautiful. Daniel was very easy to contact, and extremely accommodating. My son got sick during the flight there, so he was gracious enough to let us check in a little early. We were a little cold, but got much cozier when we remembered to turn on the fireplace.

Perfect hideaway for those with cars.

An attractive and spacious "nook" in beautiful surroundings just outside Dublin. For visitors with a car, the secure gated parking and easy access to the city is perfect. Communication with Daniel was quick and clear. Recommended.

De locatie en het huis geweldig! Een plek om tot rust te komen... Communicatie verliep prima. Wij vinden echter wel dat de schoonmaak wat beter zou kunnen, zo ook de inventaris van de keuken. Ook verschillende lampen waren defect. Verder hebben we echt genoten van het fijne huis en de rust. Ook de bezoekjes van de honden vonden we erg gezellig, wat een lieverds! We zouden deze plek zeer aanraden en hopen nog eens terug te komen in The Nook!

Super - aber ohne Pool

Super sauber, super Kommunikation, super Service. Zu bemängeln ist bestenfalls, dass der Pool nicht betriebsbereit war - kein Drama, aber sollte erwähnt werden. Die Lage ist etwas ab vom Schuss, ein (Miet-)Auto unserer Meinung nach dringend erforderlich! Alles in Allem absolut empfehlenswert 🍀

Great stay convenient to Dublin

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It was conveniently located minutes from the train station and train ride is about 40 minutes to Connolly station. We had some difficulty initially finding the house as cell phones did not work upon arriving from U.S. Make sure owner emails you well in advance with exact directions. Otherwise house was well stocked and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Lovely Accommodations

Fabulous stay in beautiful surroundings

Lovely house in an amazing situation. Very secluded and private but within easy reach of all amenities. The place was well equipped with everything we needed. It was a lovely touch to be left a bottle of red by the owners too. Would love to stay here again.

Clean, quiet, easy accomodations for a small family

Clean, reasonably spacious for 4 adults and a 1 year old baby, well appointed for cooking. They even had a high chair and portable crib for the baby already set up for us. The location is an easy drive to the DART station and the Rathmichael woods are just outside the door and an absolutely beautiful walk. We really enjoyed our time!

Un lieu magique tout en se sentant chez soi

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans cette grande maison où une aile nous est réservée. L'environnement est particulièrement beau et calme. Les propriétaires sont charmants, très disponibles tout en restant discrets. Le séjour fut agréablement animé par les visites des deux adorables chiens de la propriété, de toute évidence ravis de participer à l'accueil des hôtes. Pour ceux qui aiment la nature et l'histoire, de nombreux sites sont à visiter dans le comté verdoyant de Wicklow. Ceux qui préfèrent la ville apprécieront la proximité de Dublin. Préférable à la voiture, nous conseillons le train au départ de la gare de Shankill, toute proche. 35 mn de train avec un départ toutes les 15 mns. La maison est très agréable et confortable. Si le rez de chaussée avec cuisine, coin repas et salon est un peu petit, il est très cosy. À l'étage, les deux chambres sont immenses et la literie parfaite. Bref, une adresse que nous recommandons vivement et où nous retournerons avec plaisir.

A charming Irish home

Our week at The Nook was wonderful! The Nook is located in a beautiful countryside setting with flowers and trees in abundance and provides the feel of “living with the locals”. The Nook is quaint, clean and spacious. Daniel is a fine host and responded quickly to all our needs and requests. He was very helpful in solving problems I had with an emergency Fed Ex delivery from the USA. We are a retired couple that travel a lot and have rented many homes and apartments in the US and abroad. The Nook met and exceeded our expectations and we have no doubt it will do so for all future visitors.

Comfortable - cute - a bit distu

Overall enjoyed our stay. Daniel was quite attentive. My only complaint was it was a bit dusty around the TV with small dust bunnies on a few of the walls. Aside from this we had a wonderful time, the property was great, parking was easy. We hired a car to drive around the area. Thank you so much!

A truely unique property, The Nook is nestled in foothills of the Dublin and Wicklow mountains, surrounded by unspoilt countryside yet only a 30-minute drive from Dublin city center and all it has to offer.

Local places of interest include but are not limited to: Local places of interest include the seaside town of Bray, Shankill village, Dalkey village, Dun Laoghaire harbour, Killiney hill, Glendalough National park, Powerscourt Estate & Gardens, and Jonnie Foxs' pub.

An extensive guidebook with recommendations for all these places is provided upon arrival.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The home is gated meaning it is very secure, it also has access to a full sized all weather tennis court with rackets provided. We are well linked by public transport with the bus and dart only 2 km away. You will not find another property similar to The Nook!
