When we discovered this stunning stretch of Costa Ricaâs Nicoya Peninsula, we knew it was the perfect place for our Airbnb. Playa Blanca is a secluded paradise with soft white sand, breathtaking sunsets, and abundant wildlife. Itâs also part of a Blue Zoneâone of the rare places in the world where people live longer, healthier lives.
Beyond the natural beauty, the area offers world-class surfing at Playa Avellanas, just a short drive away. Incredible restaurants serving fresh local cuisine are scattered throughout the region, and a turtle hatchery down the street gives visitors a chance to witness baby sea turtles making their way to the ocean. This location blends relaxation, adventure, and authentic Costa Rican culture, making it the ultimate retreat.
