Beautiful Apartment With Terrace, 1 Step From Notre-Dame

Located on the medieval rue Maître Albert, in the historical Saint-Michel district, this bright, 45 sqm apartment with its 15 sqm terrace has everything to accommodate your stay in Paris.

Leaving the building, to the left you reach the Seine river, Notre-Dame (100m away), and to the right there is the Place Maubert with some of the best local products available around. The lively farmers market takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Latin quarter is home to some of the oldest architecture in Paris. Right in the heart of the city, it is the perfect location for exploring on foot or by transport. Metro/RER/bus stations are all within a few minutes of walking, as well as shops, cafés, museums.

The apartment is on the 4th floor of an old building with a charming courtyard. It offers a bright living room furnished with a sofa, TV and A/C, a wardrobe and a dining area.
The kitchen is fully fitted with an induction stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, dishes, pots and pans.
The bedroom offers a large double bed with a big window, A/C, and ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and washing machine.
The spacious rooftop terrace can be accessed from both the living-room and the bedroom. It overlooks the Rue Maître Albert and offers views of the Panthéon.

Recently renovated during the winter of 2024 to accommodate tourists again.

Charming apartment in an ideal location! The apartment is air conditioned, super clean, and well laid out. The host is kind, responsive, and accommodating. Location is absolutely ideal for visiting, walkable to Notre Dame, the Pantheon, the Maret and so much more. Bed is comfy too! Highly recommended!

Very comfortable and clean apartment in a great location! Owner quickly responded to messages. Easy walk to Notre Dame, and in close proximity to the Metro stations. Restaurants are all within walking distance. Balcony was really nice to enjoy a glass a wine after a long day of site seeing. Highly recommend this apartment in Paris!

Oh my goodness! What a great way to experience Paris. Keimo met us there and even helped my friend lug his massive suitcase up the steps. He gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and bars and grocery stores. The place feels like home, too. We thoroughly enjoyed the terrace where we enjoyed our wine while listening to the bells of Notre Dame. Down the hill is Boulevard St. Germain with lots of cafes and shops. Easy walk to both islands and many attractions. The AC was great. There are four sets of stairs, about 70 in total, but that was not a problem for us, even though we are both around 70. Great experience. You can’t go wrong!

Pros: Excellent location, secure old building, working a/c, comfortable bed, the little terrace, clothes washer and drying rack, nespresso machine, quiet street just off the action. Keimo was very attentive, gave us good recommendations for dining and activities and answered all our questions within a reasonable amount of time. Even met us at midnite to let us inside once we arrived in Paris. Everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. It’s not 5 star by any means but it is very clean and comfortable. But- renter be very aware, this is a 4th floor walk up and no lift available. You are carrying all your bags up upon arrival and then back down when you leave. We probably did the stairs 3-5 times a day depending on what we were doing for the day. I recommend this apartment if you are ok with the 4 flights of stairs.

Lovely

Keimo was a great host. He met us at the apartment, made sure we were set up and gave us great restaurant recommendations. The place was clean and exactly as in the photos. The stairs are a bit tricky with luggage but nothing we couldn’t handle. Overall a great stay in a great location.

Cozy 4th floor Apartment with terrace

The apartment was perfect for my family of 3. Keimo was an excellent host and helped get luggage into the apartment. Navigating the stairs other than that wasn’t bad. The location was excellent. Short walk to notre dame and many restaurants, coffee options nearby. The A/C worked very well. The terrace is very safe for children and at night was a great place to sit and enjoy the Parisian atmosphere.

Cozy apartment near the Seine

Great location near Notre Dame. We love this area on the left bank. So close to everything with several metro stations nearby as well as a great market. Everything you need is within walking distance. We loved having the outside balcony to enjoy on a sunny day. We’ve stayed here years ago and we’re happy to return.The only thing I would caution against is if you have any mobility issues is it is on the fourth floor so you need to be able to climb some stairs. The only problem we had was with the Internet going in and out but our host found a solution so all was well within a couple of days. He was very responsive to our needs and communication was prompt and polite. Would definitely stay again.

Great apartment!!

The apartment was clean and well-appointed with full kitchen, a lovely private terrace, and ice cold A/C (much appreciated in 30C weather). Keimo’s communications were prompt and thorough. You couldn’t have better host. Note: This is a 4th floor walk-up, so not for those with mobility issues.

Amazing Maitre Albert

Everything was just perfect at Maitre Albert. Gabriel was extremely helpful with everything and very easy to communicate with. The apartment itself is fantastic, the terrasse incredible and the location is the best in Paris. The bed was the best we have ever slept on away from home. We are both tall and it was perfect for us. I am already planning our next trip and will definitely stay at Maitre Albert!!!! Thank you for everything Gabriel and a bientot!

Our favorite!

My wife and I stayed in Kristina's apartment to start our 10th anniversary trip to France and Italy. We had a wonderful time and Kristina was very kind. The terrace was a big advantage and we enjoyed sitting there at all times of day. As others have mentioned, the location is perfect for sightseeing but is on a little side street so it's not too noisy. Turn left out of the building and you're immediately at Notre Dame and the Seine. Turn right and you're at the market. Returning every night to a charming, quiet old building was much better than going to a busy hotel. We can definitely recommend it. The stairs weren't an issue for us. Thank you, Kristina!

Wow!!!!

This was our second stay and we continue to be wonderfully impressed with this apartment. It is a fantastic location in the heart of Paris yet tucked away on a very peaceful side street. The apartment is modern and very well equipped with everything we could need during our stay. The apartment itself is a good size, but that is nearly doubled by the phenomenal terrace. We loved sitting out there with coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. As others have noted, there is no elevator, but I had no problems with the stairs just a few months after knee surgery. Finally, Kristina and Lucy are a pleasure to do business with. We will definitely return!

Great Paris apartment

We spent three very nice nights at Maitre Albert. The apartment feels roomy and is quite modern in decor. It has AC in both living room and bedroom. Kitchen is small but functional and decently equipped. It is on a quiet street and is right near the Seine, very near Notre Dame. Wifi worked well. Best of all, there is a terrace with table and chairs. View is limited but It was lovely to sit out there to sip wine, eat breakfast or just look at the neighborhood at night. The owner, Jonathan, speaks English and lives in the other apartment on the floor. Location is great, close to so much yet peaceful.There is one drawback that might discourage some travelers. It is on the 4th floor (5th US) of an old building, without an elevator. If you are reasonably fit, you can handle it. Jonathan helped us carry up suitcases the day we checked in.

Perfect Location, Size, and Amenities

The apartment looks exactly like the photos, and is honestly less than a 5 minute walk to Notre Dame. It was immaculate, well appointed, had A/C (!) and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had a new, stand up shower and the hot water and pressure were great. We booked this on very short notice, and cannot compliment Kristina and Lucy enough for their extremely prompt replies to email and questions. Lucy met us at the apartment as scheduled, showed us around and was very helpful. Personally, the kids enjoyed trying to race us up the stairs each day, and I was glad to have the exercise. Don't let the absence of an elevator deter you at all, unless you have a physical condition. We will definitely recommend this property and would enthusiastically stay here again. One final piece of advice: if you walk out the apartment and go two blocks up rue Bievre, you will find a charcuterie, fromagerie, boulangerie, and patisserie all next to each other on St. Germain des Pres! What a wonderful location this was!! Thank you Kristina and Lucy!

a dream place in a very central neighborhood

You'll certainly exercise walking 4 flights up, but what a wonderful heaven you'll find up there ! Have your breakfast, lunch or dinner on the very comfortable terrace overlooking these old roof tops with beautiful terraces and trees. It's very private and exclusive. You'll feel like almost in the countryside, contemplating the stars in the night, listening to the Notre-Dame bells in the morning. The apartment is fully updated and upgraded with modern setting : air-conditioning in all rooms, small, but functional kitchen, nice shower room, safe box, internet and 2 TV ... just in case. You have all what you need for a cozy and happy stay : just bring the bread, cheese and wine from the best shops on the Place Maubert next door (market on week-end)! The building is in a very charming old Paris street and surprisingly the neighborhood is very central, in walking distance to Notre-Dame. Cross the bridge and you're in the Marais. St Michel and St Germain are in a short walking distance. Place de la Contre Escarpe is 5mn up hill. Commute is also very easy with the metro and bus just minutes from the apartment, but the best way to move around is to take the bicycle on the Velib station. On top of all this, Jonathan is simply the best and most helpful landlord. He may treat you with some fresh basil or thyme from his garden ! We'll absolutely come back and warmly recommend the place, even if we'd prefer to keep it secret ! S & RM

Great Home Feel Paris Apartment for a Couple

Best apartment rental for a couple in Paris. Best location-right across (1/2 block) from Notre Dame and Seine river and centrally located, Jonathan the owner is most accommodating and genuinely nice and speaks English very well. Located on the top 4th floor (5th US, Parisians don’t count the main floor) and it’s very quite. It’s a huge plus to be on top floor since most Parisian apartments have hardwood floors with no carpet on the floors to absorb the noise. Also, there are only 2 apartments on the 4th floor (other floors have 3 apartments per floor); this rental apartment and the owner’s apartment right across from the rental apartment. It’s an old building with no elevator, but we didn’t mind walk up and down the stairs. An old building, but completely remodeled apartment with modern amenities and decors; great wifi and air-conditioning (there aren’t that many Paris apartments have air-conditions so it’s great to have for upper 80’s weather), great shower with a good water pressure and a towel warmer!, you’ll need to bring your own toiletry, no washer and dryer (cloth dryer racks on the terrace), British English speaking cable channels, but no American news channels like CNN, large 2-3 laptop size safe, very comfortable bed-2 skinny single mattresses laid side by side to make a queen or king size, apartment security door with a camera. It’s comfortable size for 2 people/US standard and doable with 2 additional little kids, but it will be VERY tight for 2 additional adults since both bathroom and the kitchen are functional only one person at a time. The kitchen was equipped with all the modern amenities and we did use them (note, like most European standards, the freezer/refrigerator combo was a 1/3-1/2 size of a US standard freezer/refrigerator combo). Within 2-5 blocks, there are multiple train stations (30 minutes to and from Charles de Gaulle airport-take RER B), ATMs, grocery stores, delis & bakeries, farmers market (Tue, Thur, Sat.), great restaurants (great Lebanese-Al Dar on next block, Spanish, Moroccan, falafels, gyros, gelatos). Had many lovely dinners on the terrace with our cheeses, bread, fruit, vegetables from farmers market and a deli/bakery. Great place to come back to relax and enjoy after a full day of running around site seeing! Love the spirit of live Parisian music and dancing at Notre Dame every night. Had a wonderful memorable time here for 2 weeks. Truly it’s a home away from home here. Thanks Jonathan!

A Perfect Parisian Apartment

This property does not disappoint! The location is perfect. So close to the Seine and Notre Dame and overlooking the garden rooftops of surrounding historic buildings, this apartment is a dream. There are lovely restaurants, cafes and markets at either end of the quiet street. All transportation is easy to get to.The host met us at the apartment and was always available by text. He’s super helpful. The apartment is clean, bright and modern with historic touches left in place. The balcony table and inner courtyard are perfect. This is a very romantic setting! It’s everything you hope to experience in Paris!

The place worked perfect for us. Very nice unit with everything we needed for our stay. The host was over-the- top helpful. Great location to all kinds of restaurants and cafes. Wir haben das Appartment für ein Wochenende während der Olympiade gebucht. Schon nach der Buchung hat uns Keimo mit allen Informationen über die Anreise versorgt. Das Appartment ist nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß von der RER/Metro Station St.Michel-Notre Dame entfernt in einer ruhigen Straße. Wir konnten früher einchecken und so den ganzen Tag in Paris besser nutzen. Das Appartment ist mit allem was man braucht liebevoll eingerichtet, die Terasse super zum draußensitzen. Ganz wichtig war die Klimaanlage im August im Dachgeschoß. Vielen Dank an Keimo den Vermieter, wir hatten hervorragende 3 Tage und kommen sicher wieder !
