I traveled 300 miles from my home to stay in Abilene for a convention. I booked this VRBO months in advance of my stay and had confirmation numbers and receipts to confirm this. When I arrived to check in at 5:15 PM I had not received the check-in information. After contacting the host, he promptly canceled my stay while I was standing in his front yard. The city of Abilene was hosting 2000 other people from across the state for this convention. As a result, almost all other lodging accommodations were already accounted for. My team was forced to find last-minute accommodations at a subpar motel at a premium price because the owner of the Rustic Roost canceled my reservation well after that option should have been available to him. This was one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had in my life. If I could rate this lower than 1 star I would. I do not recommend staying at the Rustic Roost. You cannot rely on them to do right by you.

Beautiful comfortable home. It had everything you would need for your stay. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The coffee bar was a nice addition to my morning.

The house was very nice. It is one of those houses that "the pictures don't do it justice". It is really spacious on the inside. The couches were really comfortable too. Everything was nicely updated and the TVs were easy to use. We would stay here again.

Very clean and modern home! Train tracks are close by that had trains running at all hours of the night blowing their horn, so bring ear plugs!

We came to Abilene for a 42 domino tournament. The Rustic Roost was 6 minutes from the location of the tourney. The kitchen was well stocked and we used it for breakfast and dinner. The rooms were bright and airy. The luggage racks in every room were a nice touch.

Great stay

We were in town for graduation. The property is ideally located for our needs - close to family. It was very clean, had everything we needed. Only negative was that the toaster didn't work but not a big deal. Would have been nice to have shelving or dresser for non-hanging clothes. Otherwise, a perfect place for us. We'll definitely use this location if available for future stays.

Wife’s Favorite Place

We get to stay in Abilene often and this house was my wife’s favorite so far. The updated nature and comfort for our short stay was perfect. Will definitely stay here again.
