We had an issue with the AC when we first got there so we all had to sleep upstairs because the downstairs was so hot. However, it was very easy to contact the host and have this problem addressed and taken care of the next morning. The house was clean but there was a noticeable amount of dust on certain things. Not enough to make us think the house hasn’t been cleaned at all but it probably needed just a quick clean and dust before we arrived. We were 13 of us and we all fit and slept comfortably inside. We loved that everyone had a bed and bathroom. The pool and hot tub were amazing! We spent a lot of our time out there. We loved being so close to the beach, shopping, and places to eat. A lot of those places where I’m walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was exactly as pictured with all the amenities you could need. We traveled with two infants and having the pool was a game changer. The beach was also a short walk. We are already planning our next trip back!

Beach vacation

This property was the perfect place for a beach vacation for 13 adult women!! All the amenities were as stated and there were several things provided that we normally do not come across with other VRBO’s. It made the stay that much more enjoyable! Would definitely go back!

Beautiful home, well-stocked and great location

This home was ideal for two vacationing families and well stocked with paper products, towels, etc for our week stay in Destin. The pool and the outdoor space were wonderful. My questions were answered super quickly by the staff as well! The internet was a little spotty at times on the property but nothing that limited us.

Great family vacation

The house was really nice and clean. I did have one issue which the staff promptly addressed. Overall, very satisfied with the property. The Internet could be a little better would be my only criticism.

The property was way over priced for what we got. The house was dirty- debris and tags left under filthy rugs, clothing tags left laying around, refrigerator had lots of broken and missing shelving, unreliable WiFi, dried food in cooking pots, crusty food particles in the pantry, and the pool area was full of debris and leaves. The outdoor furniture was filthy and torn and obviously in need of replacement. We cleaned the pool ourselves all week and bought a swiffer to clean the floors inside. No way for us to make a breakfast for ten people- no griddle or cooking sheet and we had to buy extra kitchen towels. It was a short walk to the beach but there was only a very small section of beach designated for the all the neighboring rentals to use …the beach front condos have all of their beach front marked off for private use only! There was no space for our tent so we ended up in chairs right by the water- making for short days at the beach! I called the rental agency with my concerns and have not heard back. This was definitely not what we were used to experiencing with prior Destin rentals.

Thank you for staying with us, and we're sorry the home's condition upon arrival fell short of the standard we aim to provide. Since your stay, the rugs have been professionally cleaned and the outdoor furniture reviewed; additional kitchen items have been added for larger groups, and a full deep clean of the home has since been completed. We're sorry as well that your concerns didn't resolve while you were with us; we'd welcome the chance to connect with you directly. Regarding beach access, we understand the designated public area felt limited for your group, and we've shared that feedback so future guests have clearer expectations. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.

A Great Experience

I am a small business owner in the service industry and giving customers a good experience is so important to me. I pride myself in serving my clients well and appreciate when I get served well. Overmoon exceeded my expectations in all the areas. The home was gorgeous and so much better stocked than other homes we have rented in the past from other companies. Their communication was wonderful and the location of their house was perfect. Our family had six children, with two of those being 1 year old. It’s always challenging packing everything we need for a trip into one car but we didn’t have to worry about a high chair or a pack n play because our Overmoon home had both and they were in prestige condition. The walls were also very thick, as they served as a great sound barrier when the kids went to bed early and the other 7 adults wanted to stay up later and socialize. We also didn’t have to go out and buy necessities like laundry detergent, dish detergent, paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, hand soap, etc… because the home was well stocked with everything to last for our entire stay! The location was just a 3-5 minute walk to the beach and very doable. The grocery store, convenient store, and anything else we needed was just a 5-10 min drive from us too. When it rained we went to the outlet mall just 10 minutes away and bowling, just 5 minutes away. We didn’t have to spend too much time in the car to get anywhere. We loved our stay with Overmoon!

What a wonderful Destin getaway to hear about—we're so glad the beach house was such a comfortable home base for your family. It's lovely to know the open floor plan made it easy for everyone to gather, and that the spacious, well-equipped kitchen was perfect for serving your large group. We're delighted the pool was just the right temperature and that the jacuzzi became a daily favorite—those little touches really do make a stay special. We would love to welcome you back for another beachside escape anytime.
