Mountain Joy Cottage # 8, Little Bear, byggdes i början av 1840-talet och var Medford bostad i Iron Duff / Crabtree-omrÄdet och flyttades till sin nuvarande plats i början av 1 + 50-talet. Denna stuga har utsatta loggvÀggar som ger den en unik överklagande. Denna stuga har intressanta detaljer som vi har lagt för att pÄminna oss om de svarta björnar som vÄr hemma i vÄrt omrÄde.

Ursprungligen var Maggie Setzer, för vilken Maggie Valley heter, det land som Mountain Joy sitter, en speciell plats. Du kommer att bli förtrollad med det berget charm, familjÀr atmosfÀr och karaktÀr. Vi erbjuder alla moderna bekvÀmligheter man kan förvÀnta sig med Äret runt tillgÄng och avskildhet som vÀldigt fÄ kan erbjuda.

Njut av den lugna landsbygden i vÄra stugor. Vi har en, tvÄ och fyra sovrum stugor alla utrustade med vedeldade eldstÀder, kabel-tv, internet och kök redo att laga en hemlagad mÄltid. Utanför verandorna har gungstolar sÄ att du kan njuta av ditt morgonkaffe eller njuta av solnedgÄngen pÄ bergen pÄ kvÀllen. VÄrt glasomslutna utomhuspool (sÀsongsbundet) erbjuder en hÀrlig plats att koppla av.

Mountain Joy Cottages ligger centralt i hjÀrtat av Maggie Valley, bara ett kvarter upp i Setzer Cove Road, med enkel tillgÄng till alla sevÀrdheter i omrÄdet. Vi Àr bara nÄgra minuter frÄn Scenic Blue Ridge Parkway och Great Smoky Mountains National Park. OmrÄdet Àr laddat med hantverk, antikaffÀrer och presentbutiker. Den stora utomhus erbjuder ridning, golf pÄ omrÄdet bergskurser, öringfiske i strömmar, forsrÀnning och natursköna enheter. SnöskidÄkning och slangar Àr tillgÀngliga för hela familjen pÄ Cataloochee Ski Area. Nattlivet innehÄller allt frÄn jazz till bluegrass, igensÀttning eller middagsunderhÄllning. VÄra stugor ligger bara en kort bilresa till Great Smoky Mountain Railway, AshEville och The Biltmore Estate, Cherokee och Indian Reservation och Harrahs Casino och historiska downtown Waynesville.

Amazing Stay!!

We had an absolutely amazing stay in Maggie Valley!! 100% recommend this cabin! The Elk came through every day for a visit and the cabin was cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be back soon.

Great place for a famioy reunion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great property. Along with family members, we occupied 8 of 12-13 cabins. The grounds are lovely with a huge area for kids to play and grown-ups to act like kids and a fire ring to gather around and enjoy s'mores. During the summer months a very nice pool is available. Everyone was quite happy with their cabins.

Small problems make a big difference

We stayed in this same place in Oct 22, and noted some problems then. Sinks not draining properly, only a few clothes hangers, coffee maker has wrong carafe and made a mess when we tried to brew coffee. These problems still exist. Oh, and now they have a new policy of not providing paper products or cleaning supplies. We had to make a trip to buy our own. For the price, we will stay somewhere else next visit. It's too bad because the bed is super comfortable.

Bring cleaning supplies

Bring your own laundry detergent, there will be three wash rags for the entire stay.

Enjoyed

The cabin was exactly like the pictures. It is a pleasant alcove of 12 cabins surrounding a beautiful green space with a great playground for the kids , a beautiful covered pool and mountains all around. An addition was the wild Elk that wandered in to eat crab apples right off the tree. A fantastic property.

We had a problem opening the door we called the office and someone came out ASAP and gave us an extra key and showed us how to unlock the door. The doorknob should be replaced so no one has to struggle to unlock the door. The only other thing that should be replaced is the mattress. It is horrible. A good nights sleep is very important to an enjoyable stay.There was a strong smell of smoke from the fireplace especially when you first walk in. That should be taken care of.

Cute Nice Small Cabin

My wife and I stayed in this cute, little cabin. It had everything that we needed. 1 bedroom with a King bed, 1 bath with all the necessities. We enjoyed our stay. We mostly sat around enjoying the mountains and shelling pecans. The scenery is wonderful and it is a good place for a couple to get away in!

Weekend at Little Bear

I found the cabin to be too dark, stuffy, and uncomfortable. The bed, in particular, was extremely uncomfortable. I was also surprised that, when I went to check out, the office staff were not wearing masks. I wouldn't recommend this cabin.

Right off the main road so there is noise from motorcycles and cars but it stops around 8pm and doesn't start again until after 9am. So overall the road noise was not an issue. We had an issue with the cleanliness and the cleaning crew leaving something of significant value from the previous renter that they should have seen. Bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom was dirty. Overall the place was pretty good and I would definitely go back. I just think the management company needs to find a new cleaning crew.

Nice peaceful place

Overall nice only had 3 rags and towels for a 2 night stay also no hand soap and only a half roll of tp other than that we haf a very nice stay it's a simple cabin but all we needed we would recommend to stay again.
