During my travels, I once met a retired gentleman who had been exploring the United States for months, often as a couch surfer. A beautiful friend of mine also traveled the world and chose couch surfing as a way to immerse herself deeply in different cultures. While I admired their experiences, I also respected their courage.
Though I never had the chance to be a couch surfer myself, I decided to welcome guests into my home instead. By hosting travelers from different backgrounds, I gain insights into the world without leaving my home. Seeing the world can be done by venturing outâor by inviting it in.
